So with the 100 million coin supply you will have a higher marketcap than btc when the value reaches 409$
Yeah right lol

Dont understand why all this coin selling now at 1 sat, investor could not sell this at 1 sat! I would never buy something and to sell at same price!
Because it is obvious now that it is going nowhere and people try to recover their money. This is what happens when the dev is greedy and sets 0% buywall.

Price is looking pretty good in my opinion. The first hype was not followed by a large dump, only by a little profit taking. Still most airdrop receivers are holding all their coins (Me not, I confess , but I conserve some). And now we're looking up again. For me, 0.01 BTC is reachable within the next months, but not much more. You cannot compare DCR with ETH because the hype around ETH is stronge, because its "benefits" are more easily to understand than Decred's. Many people understand basically what a "turing-complete language" for smart contracts means and that it's something new and interesting, but if it's really useful (e.g. considering blockchain maintenance costs) is another question. It's also a bit older. I'm not against ETH, I'm observing it with interest, but I still have doubts. 0.01 BTC seems like an arbitrary figure: circa $4M MC (must be one of those spectacular x3 pumps we always hear about ). That would put it on a par with a whole host of shitcoins. Eth MC $760M. As you say, it's not competing with ETH at this early stage, but MC will be much higher than the mediocre category of shitcoin that you seem to place it in, and probably much sooner. Why do u think this? im trying to figure why i should buy it? Because it is not a clone coin. coins with code from the scratch are having a stable overall marketcap of at least $10 million, with ups and downs of course, but as development evolves in long term i can see a marketcap in the 100s million for decred

I've read the airdrop info and i found a glitch in your system. Majority of people are having dynamic ips, so those based on your system will be excluded from the airdrop even if they didn't want to cheat at all just because their ip was changed without their knowledge by their isp
so many people with dynamic ips are gaming the system and are applying 100-200 or more times. Not dynamic ips are gaming the system but proxy/vpn/tor users. Also i would doubt that anybody would use 200 valid email addresses just to claim coins. I just highlighted the fact that actual rules will lead to numerous complaints as it will reject most of the valid applications, and their frustration will be rightfull as they did not tried to cheat

its good ethical practice to always give credits to source code developer if you follow MIT policies. anyways noticed your explorer is might be broken or something else wrong Funny you feel te urge to point out credit issues, it is well known that the explorer we are running is the iquidus explorer. The reason the credit got removed is because it needed to make room for the github link. And there is nothing wrong with the explorer, this is a transactions explorer, so it shows each transaction on te blockchain. Look at that network weight Dev is obviously staking his premine..... sad... I guess this is destined for another fail, too greedy even with his premine ! Too bad, dev 3% premine wasn't enough?? do you have to stake it too? Exactly! We are giving out bounties, and we are earning some coins back this way. Premine funds are being used to promote our upcoming Hawk projects, more info on that later today. I will turn off staking for a while when I get home. The only problem is that if you stake you are taking the chance from other users who could help promoting this coin. I would advice to turn off staking at least untill pow ends or people will leave your coin and you alone won't do much with it

So we are now at Block 28168, of total 35.251 Blocks.
But why coinmarketcap is showing me until now only 11,430,973 CYG?
It should be much more or not at this late phase?
The dev write: "The Proof-of-Work phase will end at block 35.250, until then approximately 25.885.320** CYG will be mined."
So there will be mined more than 50% of the coins in the last 7.000 Blocks?
I dont understand this.
No. But POS blocks eaten a lot of pow blocks so at the and there will be around 10 m coins less than the expected 25m. There is nothing wrong here is common with pos/pos running at the same time Ah, ok i understand. But can you say me, why there are now pow blocks with over 7.000 coins? 28186 POS 2 Mins 3 7239.53097079 0.00661301 674 Check the block explorer better http://www.tekyexplorer.xyz/cyg/block.php?height=28186The pos minted is 1.07 cyg but the input is added to that too since the coins are locked in the same transaction untill it matures. You never staked before?

Updated the Dutch OP, also noticed a small typo in English OP: under the Consensus Poll thing is Frist Consensus Poll I have just corrected that typo and also added c-cex exchange links as dev requested

disappointed........
initial dumping from miners because it was profitable, it can still recover Especially now that reward drops soon to 500 and in a few days to 250. After that pow ends so no new coins will be created by pow to be dumped

From now we are accepting proposals for our first consensus poll, you can submit them here. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1elhnm-RwM1-p56s7Jc08W-oATyRJ97BU63_7Ds_26Bg/viewformThe first poll will start at 23rd of March with the most requested topics from your proposals. For the first poll we will release a wallet update which will have the Poll tab, you will be able to cast your votes there. Votes for the first poll will not be cast on blockchain yet, we scheduled to implement -on blockchain- voting for the April poll. We contacted zsnorbi OP should update soon with the link and the additional details. Op updated as requested. Going to send my submission now

As of 2016/2/12 there are left 2163 airdrop addresses unspent. ~27% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/13 there are left 2143 airdrop addresses unspent. ~28% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/14 there are left 2118 airdrop addresses unspent. ~29% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/15 there are left 2093 airdrop addresses unspent. ~30% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/16 there are left 2069 airdrop addresses unspent. ~30% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/17 there are left 2051 airdrop addresses unspent. ~31% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/18 there are left 2036 airdrop addresses unspent. ~31% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/19 there are left 2034 airdrop addresses unspent. ~32% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/20 there are left 2024 airdrop addresses unspent. ~32% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/21 there are left 2017 airdrop addresses unspent. ~32% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/22 there are left 2000 airdrop addresses unspent. ~33% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/23 there are left 1989 airdrop addresses unspent. ~33% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/24 there are left 1971 airdrop addresses unspent. ~34% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/25 there are left 1955 airdrop addresses unspent. ~34% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of 2016/2/26 there are left 1933 airdrop addresses unspent. ~35% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins As of today 2016/2/27 there are left 1921 airdrop addresses unspent. ~35% of Airdrop receivers moved their coins
How comes they are dumping like clockwork? Why is the pool getting jammed in the same instant? What's that remark above hinting at tradebots? Where do I connect these dots with lines? Dumping like clockwork? Check those numbers better after an initial "dump" period the whole thing slowed down and coins started moving agan when pos started. Knowing the background sometimes are helping more than sewing conspirational theories

dev could you please simply post the address admited in the airdrop and in this ways everyone knows if he is included in the airdrop, avoiding people flood you with PM´s? mining is actually working quite good in suprnova pool , blockchain moves really well, congratulation for that
Here on the office, my colleague also receive no mails. Carefull with office/dorm applications as you probably share your ip with many others and multiple aplications from the same external ip may result banning.

Guys help me with this, i want to know if i am not wrong.
If when POW end will be arround 213.000 coins, with POS at 10% year if all coin is staking will be generate just arround 60 coins per day?
if it is true, here are a awesome potential, the inflation of this coin is really low.
Your math is right but actual coins will be much less than 60/day as not the whole supply will stake

Also we have to announce that the official website is running. W have to thank the design for g3rszpi, who got his 50.000 CYG bounty. We would like to mention that the website is hosted on a Dedicated server in Europe provided by Microsoft Azure http://cygnus.online/Nice job. Are you planning to add some weighted content that you bought dedicated server? Edit. I have just updated the op with the website link

I think this is fake, because with less memory clock, how could it beat some other GPUs which have more than the double of ? By the way, I've now joined the big Decred family by mining it. I have a few question that I didn't found in the OP. I'm sorry if this is in it . What are the minimum and the maximum stake ages and the reward in percent per month or year ? Also, can I stake in the web-wallet ? Thank you for asking my questions . No one replied me yet. Any info on staking ? Alos, I remember when I browsed the pages that someone told about an hybrid web-wallet, with a part on your computer and a part on the servers. Can anyone here tell me more about it ? Decred has a different POS system. In this area on official forum you will find all information https://forum.decred.org/forums/proof-of-stake-mining/Thank you for sharing this links, I'll look at it ! The GUI to access the blockchain is online but the wallet file is stored on your computer, you don't have to login/create user or anything else. It's on wallet.decred.org That seems nice ! And can the web-wallet stake my coins ? I don't feel very secure in putting all my precious DCR in a command line based wallet ... Staking is not possible yet with the webclient, but a stake pool is on the way(1-2 days afaik), so in a few days staking will be made much more easier for everyone
