Really? No one has a comment on this?
62  Other / Off-topic / Best Decentralized Storage System on: May 25, 2018, 04:14:03 AM
I see there're Storj, Siacoin, Filecoin and few other ones out there. I use Dropbox for years and i pay $10 a month with no traffic limitations at all. I can download and upload as much as I want.

But so far what i see in Decentralized systems is that there're extra charges on download and uploads traffic.

So I wanted to get the community's feedback on which on do you think is the most compatible to Dropbox? And do they have apps to use in different devices so you can access all of your files at all times from your laptop, mobile and tablest etc.

One thing I love about Decentralized Storage systems is that all of your files are encrypted and only you can see the real file

So what do you all think?

Anyone ever used this site? what`re your thoughts? It seems good especially because there`s no account or limitation. I don`t think there`s any special fees etc either so I don`t see how they make money
64  Economy / Economics / Crypto Currency Character Map/Symbol Font/Currency template on: May 20, 2018, 02:20:44 PM

65  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Symbol in Excel on: May 19, 2018, 08:29:19 PM
Actually hold on. Do you know if there`s a way to add more than one currency?
When I follow your steps and add litecoin now, it takes over Bitcoin symbol.
66  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Symbol in Excel on: May 19, 2018, 08:22:10 PM
Got it now... Hey thank you very much. You`re awesome!~
67  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Symbol in Excel on: May 19, 2018, 08:14:11 PM
Yes, you can add it automatically. Just modify your currency to Bitcoin or follow this(for windows only) /* you must have Office 2016:
1. close all office applications.
2. open Control Panel ----> Clock, Language, and Region category.
3. click Region then additional settings ---> Currency tab
4. Paste your bitcoin Currency symbol on Currency symbol *
5. click ok, then apply and ok.
6. open excel then use same way for adding $.

Could you please give me the directions for windows 10?
I don`t see additional settings. There`s "Additional date, time......" but no currency tab there or in "Advanced keyboard settings"

Quote
* you can get bitcoin symbol from "0234 alt+x".

When I write this in an excel cell, it doesnt give me anything

68  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Symbol in Excel on: May 19, 2018, 07:30:48 PM
Yeah but this way entire windows will use Bitcoin instead of dollar in every application and software. I just need to have this in one specific excel sheet
69  Economy / Economics / Bitcoin Symbol in Excel on: May 19, 2018, 06:06:08 PM
Anyone knows how to automatically put ₿ in front of all number amounts in an excel sheet and still keep the cell as a number to be used in somewhere else?

I tried to use the currency setting but Bitcoin is not there. The symbol is only listed in the Symbol box. So you have to manually added  which means when you add it like below

Code:
=" ₿ "&SUM(E3:E34)

You can't get the number of that cell and use it somewhere else because it has a manually put symbol in it
70  Economy / Economics / Re: Decentralized Crypto Lending for Interest on: May 13, 2018, 11:32:04 PM
Are you looking for something like this : https://lendoit.com/
Now I don't know how legit this is, do your own due diligence and then do anything stupid or smart. There are a couple more sites too. Just Google what you have asked.

Ha, that one looks interesting. This is what it says in their FAQ

"What happens when a borrower does not pay back the loan?
If a borrower fails to pay back the loan completely, the loan turns into a default. In this case the Lendoit Smart Compensation Fund immediately deposits a fraction of the loan to the lender in order to minimize his loss. Since the borrower is known and legally bound to the smart contract, the lender has the choice of collecting the debt himself or simply selling the default on the Collectors Market to further minimize his loss.

*The ability to engage in syndicated loans protects the lender as well"

How can Lendoit protect its Lenders?
Lending is a risky business, however Lendoit makes sure to address the lender’s risk:

First: every borrower is scored through a professional scoring/verification processes by third party companies in the borrower’s country (before their loan application is published)
Second: the lender is protected through a Smart Compensation Fund where a percentage of every loan is stored in order to compensate for the defaulted ones.
Third: in case of default the debt can be sold in a collector’s market (default market) - the lender can sell the debt to professional collectors in each country (similar to the way it works in the traditional markets)
Four: The ability to engage in syndicated loans protects the lender as well.

By combining the four Lendoit mitigates the chances that lenders are affected by the risks of lending.

Good point. I was just hoping that there was an innovative technology like Blockchain where people can lend and loan on a trustworthy environment where it can not be hacked or misused.

I assume it will happen soon though...
72  Economy / Economics / Decentralized Crypto Lending for Interest on: May 12, 2018, 06:34:25 PM
So many people just HODL their coins and not make any interest on it. Because they can`t just trust a third party to loan out their coins for interest.

So I was wondering if there has been any solution to this problem yet.

Can I lend my coins, in a decentralized, trustworthy and reliable platform where one person takes a loan on my coins and pays me interest?

Something like Bitbond but decentralized and more trustworthy

74  Economy / Exchanges / Is there a maker/taker fee in Binance? on: April 21, 2018, 09:34:12 AM
You know how GDAX has no fee for maker but a huge fee for taker. I was wondering if Binance has different fees for these actions as well.

Could you please clarify when is the fork snapshot exactly?

If I give only view permissions and enter it to excel only, I don`t think there`ll be a security issue with the url

I just figured out this https://api.binance.com/api/v3/account?key=9Z42ubqjCJbwXAKlncofGp8LHmJThdJrBb34rwefd23 link gives a weird error message. I feel like I`m pretty close to the solution. Do you have any advices?
That one particular endpoint is listed as being a "GET" request, so will work by just creating a basic URL... however "account" is a USER_DATA endpoint, which is a SIGNED endpoint, which:
... require an additional parameter, signature, to be sent in the query string or request body.

So you need to calculate the appropriate HMAC-SHA256 signature for your request, as per:
- Endpoints use HMAC SHA256 signatures. The HMAC SHA256 signature is a keyed HMAC SHA256 operation. Use your secretKey as the key and totalParams as the value for the HMAC operation.
- The signature is not case sensitive.
- totalParams is defined as the query string concatenated with the request body.

And attach that to your GET request...
Code:
https://api.binance.com/api/v3/account?key=9Z42ubqjCJbwXAKlncofGp8LHmJThdJrBb34rwefd23&signature=YOUR_HMAC_SHA256_SIGNATURE_GOES_HERE&timestamp=MILLISECOND_TIMESTAMP_OF_REQUEST

Check the examples: https://github.com/binance-exchange/binance-official-api-docs/blob/master/rest-api.md#example-1-as-a-query-string

I'm not sure you can use "key" in the query string tho... the examples all seem to indicate that it needs to be sent as:
API-keys are passed into the Rest API via the X-MBX-APIKEY header.

I don`t know how to calculate HMAC SHA256 and implement it. Can you teach me that please?
Also if you think you can give a complete example of a URL that I could just replace the keys in, that would be the best

I agree that "key" part doesn`t really work. Because I get the same error when I just write https://api.binance.com/api/v3/account

Alright. One more question then;

someone says if you add the api key and the secret to the url you can access the info. Do you think it`s right? if so, can you help me on which url and where to add the keys?
