Thanks for pointing that out, fixed.

I hold a somewhat significant stock of the recently compromised Alitin coins that were intended for resale on cryptodechange.com.

Please note that this coin was never funded, with intention to fund upon sale - because of this, there were no funds swept but it should be considered that the private key is still compromised and should never be funded.

How did you get 17 unfunded coins, did you just buy stock from Alitin?

That's correct, we bought 20 * unfunded Adam Smiths in bulk back in 2014, with the intent to resell and fund on delivery.
64  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Alitin Mint Coin Breach on: March 07, 2017, 04:49:58 PM
I still have 17 Adam Smith coins listed for sale that were never funded, I consider all of these keys compromised.

- 1 key was swept on the 26th like most
- 1 was redeemed a few days ago which I presume was overlooked and fortunate for the owner
- 1 was in transit whilst this was announced, which was great timing

Unsure why one was not swept like the others. There was probably a range of presumed funded coins; I remember either hand picking/letting the customer choose the coin #, so there was probably a gap with non-funded coins that they overlooked when using their bot/software to redeem the keys in a singular instance, probably with no intention to try again (unless they realised a key(s) were missed)
65  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Alitin Mint Adam Smith Coins compromised! on: March 06, 2017, 05:25:27 AM
On the side? What would stop someone from taking a picture of the coin, reselling it and then redeeming the BTC in the coin?

There is foam inside the casing which is/was permanently sealed:

In order to redeem the coins, the owner was supposed to break apart the case to reveal the engraving. So either either the private key generation or engraving process was compromised, or the private keys were actually stored to be illegally redeemed at a later date.
66  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Alitin Mint Adam Smith Coins compromised! on: March 05, 2017, 11:07:59 PM

What specific lapse caused these coins to be vulnerable. Do the rest of the coins, not yet raided, have risk from the same issue

It would appear so right now.

Cryptodechange has said 2 coins he personally funded and sold have been raided.

Would you mind posting those addresses please, Cryptodechange?

Thanks

I can confirm that at least 2 of the coins I sold and loaded myself were redeemed within the past week.
68  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] Alitin Mint / Titan coins on: January 23, 2017, 08:02:02 PM

Thanks I did not find an option for unfunded purchase, seems that is the default. I will be using your service!

Just to clarify, the payment is taken in entirity for the coin (funding included), the coin is sent unfunded, when you receive and inspect the coin, go ahead and confirm the receipt of delivery (via. the codes on the printed and emailed invoices), the funds will then be sent to the address of the coin.

This is very much akin to how the original suppliers sold seller-funded coins during 2014 and earlier, I am not sure if it's still done in this manner. Our intentions were to become an EU distributor for Casascius, Titan, Alitin, etc, but in turns out that I'm one of the only Titan suppliers left with unopened rolls (unless I am mistaken)

Hi Tommy thanks, I have read through this forum. He's unfortunately in GB, shipping loaded coins to US will be a problem.

Hello!

My stocks are unfunded/funded upon delivery, we acquired them from Alitin and Titan in 2014 under the agreement that we will ship and fund them in the same fashion as they did. There is also free worldwide shipping. This greatly reduces the liability of shipping funded coins, as well as any customs issues with coins that hold funds.
70  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Alitin, Titan (funded) and Lealana (buyer funded) silver coins on: December 29, 2016, 01:17:35 AM
As a somewhat belated quarterly bump, these all are still available Smiley  - I will update stock on here along with cryptodechange.com.

The Lealana are priced the same as from Lealana direct but with free shipping within EU. It should be worth noting that as all these coins are shipped for free from the UK; it could be appealing to buyers from Europe/EU as it will avoid customs charges on silver or even the total value of the coin value itself

....Appealing until the UK officially leaves the EU that is, which will probably happen before I sell these coins; they've been for sale on cryptodechange.com since 2014 Cheesy

Thanks BigBitz!

They are still available  Smiley

Updated the original post with more detailed shipping info and adjusted pricing for the Lealanas (now includes free shipping and bulk options)
73  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Alitin, Titan (funded) and Lealana (buyer funded) coins on: May 06, 2016, 12:41:11 PM
can you provide some photos? are these still available from alitin?

I have included some photos in the original post. Unfortunately I am not sure if Alitin still have these in stock. As of right now, their store page seems to be down; I have read from last year how some buyers managed to get in contact with them to buy the coins still.

I have also confirmed via email outside of the forum that this is indeed posted from the legit cryptodechange.

Thank you monkeynuts!

I'm tempted to buy a Titan coin. Is it the 2FA model or the private key model?

They are the private key variety. Once we have funded the coins on delivery verification, we drop Tim/Titan Mint an email to allow them to check the blockchain and update their system to reflect its status.
74  Economy / Collectibles / [WTS] Alitin, Titan (funded) and Lealana (buyer funded) silver coins on: May 05, 2016, 11:33:25 PM
Hello!

I have listed these coins for a while at https://www.cryptodechange.com/bullion/ and figured it would be beneficial to post them here as well.

All coins have no previous owner/acquired from Titan/Alitin/Lealana directly in 2014. Titan/Alitin coins are sent unfunded and are funded upon delivery confirmation (under agreement with Titan Mint and Alitin Mint)

I have not been very active on this forum prior to this post, but I will continue to monitor replies and messages. In regards to trustability, I have a presence at Bitbargain.co.uk, Localbitcoins and Bitcoin-OTC. I can sign messages from the bitcoin address associated with my Bitcoin-OTC handle if required!

75  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Where can I buy physical funded bitcoins? on: May 05, 2016, 11:11:16 PM
Hello!

As of writing this post, we have 46 private key coins available at https://www.cryptodechange.com/product/titan-one-silver/

Under agreement with Tim at Titan Mint, we acquired these coins, the certificates, string bags etc unfunded, and will fund them upon delivery verification (how Titan Mint dispatched the coins).

The price for 1 coin is 1.45 BTC, this includes worldwide shipping (shipped from UK).
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitmain Antminer S1 solo mining on: December 14, 2013, 10:58:02 PM
Has anyone had much luck with solo mining with the Antminer S1? I've tried setting up AsicCoin solo mining on both my local network and server and it doesn't find any blocks or just doesn't mine. I usually find 4-8 blocks every 20 minutes using a pool.
77  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY OPEN & Shipping] - ** GIVEAWA ** BITMAIN AntMiner 180 GH/S 300 Units on: December 12, 2013, 11:03:17 PM
Is there any way to power 4 of these with a single 1600W Gold/Platinum PSU, or am I just asking for a fire hazard? What PSU is everyone using for 2-4?

My guess is you'll be at the bare recommended minimum, I'd go for >1800. As long as the PSU can supply enough 12v/ground wires (3 * 12v and 3 * ground for each board, so 12 for each unit) then you're good to go. You'll probably want 8 x 6-pin connectors if the units are being shipped with female connectors now, or remove the bundled connectors and connect the wires how everyone has been before.
