61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CASH] Crypto CASH a unique Crypto currency! **1.1 Client is mandatory** on: March 14, 2014, 11:21:29 PM

Is there a chance to bring it back to life? Is the dev gone for good, has anyone heard anything about him?

Not sure where the Dev is but someone just updated the checkpoint.

If the Dev does not come back we are working on a community take over.
Even if the Dev is gone this coin will continue to live.

AT the moment difficulty is low as is the price, if you want to help back this coin now is a great time to jump in.

Are you sure about checkpoints?
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PumpThisCoin.com - Half Joke/Half Social Experiment on: March 14, 2014, 11:02:44 PM
It's my firm belief that soon we will be seeing the end of the PnD reign.

How will this happen?
There would need to be a huge trading volume and market cap on alts for that, and it doesn't seem like it could happen soon.

Blackcoin multipool is the start of it

care to elaborate that for us please?

edit: excuse me for my stupidity. you can ignore my question.

Are you stealing peoples money?

If I can't withdraw 12 hours it means I am losing profit. 74% of of what I've deposited so far.
I came here to see what up and see that some people were not able to withdraw for like 5 days.
Any news?

This looks like another 'wolong and the cheerleaders' pump. With all the regular cheerleaders in it.

Premined garbage, already pumped.. I pitty the fools..

edit: it is a self moderated thread as well. why do you that? I mean, I can make my own thread right here, and shittalk about your coin..

Here you go:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=409779

You do realise people won't listen?
You do realise you are fucking with some scammers' money?
You do realise they can bury this thread easily?
You do realise they have some ways to mess with you?

As much as I like reading your posts, most people don't. Do you remember Saturn? Premine was dumped directly on an exchange, from the very 0 point. It was confirmed several hours later, when some random guy checked block explorer. One month later, nobody cares.

edit: I will however, try to contribute to your threads, as much as I can.
edit2: my bad, about 19 hrs before anyone else could mine:

you know, if you go two months back and dig you will find some interesting shit things about the dev of 'self moderated coin'.
failed coin (first announced on turkish part of this forum, 24hrs before anyone else knew about it; after they mined enough, they made an ann here. that particular coin was 'zero premine' coin), paying posters for some forums etc..

did you know that?

 Kiss

edit: that particular failed coin had an official closure: 'due to lack of interest we are shutting down'.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of Nation-Based Cryptocurrencies on: March 06, 2014, 09:11:13 PM
use the search button. there is an exact same list, made two months ago. make a contribution to that list..

As some of you know one of my interest is in testing the security of cryptocoins. Over the past 4 years I have "tested" so many I have lost count but one thing remains true. No matter what the so called improvement is, it always has an exploit.

Kimoto Gravity Well is one such improvement that solves a problem that AUR is having at the moment and that is moving at the speed of death as well purportedly protects against 51%. While KGW does protect somewhat against a 51% attack, it opens up a huge hole in the time warp exploit via the diff adjust first deployed against Geist Geld back in mid 2011 and a modded versions used last year on a few Scrypt coins and SHA coins with great success.

Long story short, KGW opens up a flank where a newly modded Time Warp Exploit can be deployed. I have sandbox tested it on AUR and it seems to do the trick in grand fashion but that is with a small amount of nethash in the sandbox. I need a live chain to test it on. So considering the vast amount of request I have received to take out this 50% premine scam, I thought it would be a good candidate to test on.

Why am I giving notice? Simply because in the past when I use alt coin chains as test subjects, people tend to lose coins. In particular, my ol' buddy Kelsey lost a ton last year in GME LOL. Block 5400 or when ever KGW kicks in will be the starting point. This will give all of you enough time to either cold store your AUR or dump them until the chain is fixed, if it can be after the test.

~BCX~

If it was a scam, Balduro would have dumped the premined coins a long time ago. there is actually a large community who believe in this thing.
But I guess the internet is full with assholes like you who try to destroy good things for fun

don't forget the asshole pumpers..

70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My own alt-coin - how and what should I do? on: March 06, 2014, 08:39:33 PM
Hey, I think you should make a coin. I'm looking forward to it. Don't listen to these people, they are wrong.

Try coingen.io. Some of the best coins out there were made that way. You don't need any technical knowledge.
I can help you if you want. I accept Tomatocage and Sasha Grey coins, these are very hard to find.
You should consider making an IPO, premine some for your hard work and find some whales to back you up. This is the new, innovative approach. Also, you will have to pay me (marketing), lawyer, accountant, medical insurance (maybe citizens of some small country) etc. That is why the premine is essential for the success of your coin.
I can also help you get your coin on an exchange, right after launch.
I can promote your coin on Twitter if you want.

PM me if you are serious about making a difference here. I am willing to help you change the crypto scene forever.

yes, I agree, cryptsy is bad.

HUH?!?

Relax, it's a joke.

All those people whining about cryptsy got fucked by some shaddy exchanges. I remember when those guys showed up, they were like 'You need us more then we need you'. They had 5 coins, maybe 8 or 9 at its peak, while cryptsy supports more then half of coinmarketcap. Everybody was praising them, how fast and professional they were. I mean, wtf, I can exchange you 5 coins really fast.

As for the downtime, at least cryptsy didn't go off for three weeks.

I am not saying you should keep your coins at cryptsy, I don't. But at least you know who is behind cryptsy. Personally, I'm too paranoid for that 'coins on a safe exchange' stuff, but I would have been very cautious with my coins if I were to store them anywhere, ecpecially with beta exchanges (ones that have been beta for two months!).

I am not trading on cryptsy, or other exchanges, just very small fractions of btc. I made money off market, but if I were to store my coins anywhere I wouldn't store them in some anonymous guys storage.

Cryptsy is also full of controversies, I'm not saying it isn't, but have proven reliable so far (in the long run).

75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The new cryptocurrency for Ukraine (disclaimer) on: March 06, 2014, 02:13:55 AM
After noticing several attempts to announce a new altcoin for Ukraine, we'd like to make a public disclaimer regarding an unrelated (read on for an explanation) project we have been working on since January 2014.

What do I mean by “we”? We are a small team of volunteers (mostly Ukraine-based) with the goal to design, promote and distribute a new alternative cryptocurrency targeted at the Ukrainians. Even though we can't disclose many details as of yet, we are devoted to make the best of the principles that have been proven to work in the digital world, while also proposing new mechanisms to help the currency actually spread and become useful.

Unfortunately, as our work progresses, we start to see a great deal of “projects” starting off under the excuse to help Ukraine, while their sole purpose mostly is stealing people's money. We hate to see someone damaging people's trust in real (and potentially promising) projects.

For us, the idea of making a new Ukrainian currency does not end with the short-term plan to quickly help a country in need. We are willing to continue supporting the project as long as needed in order to enhance the reputation of cryptocurrencies in general. We have the right, experienced people to make this possible.

We decided to speed up the work and start the currency sooner than planned (perhaps before the word Ukraine gets completely blocked on the forums). We kindly ask you to stay in touch with this thread, where we will post more details in the next few days. We value your support, and we will need your help for the project to succeed.

Forgive me if I write an actual post, everyone else here seems to only want to boost their post count.   Undecided

You are a brand new account.  What proof do you have that this coin you are creating is also not just to steal people's money?  What makes your coin more relevant than the other coins that were announced for Ukraine?

@Vod, you missed the point. This is a campaign against piesel and his ann for a coin lead by an angry mob. apparently they see him as a scammer.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=498749.0

Please move this thread where it belongs (anywhere but ann section).

77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [USDe] Unitary Status Dollar eCoin | ***Shop Online with USDe!*** on: March 06, 2014, 12:23:02 AM
We have given everyone ample time to update. We are reaching out to exchanges and services to make sure they are updated.

At this time if you feel worried about your USDe, I would advise you verify with your exchange and make sure they are on the correct github.

Why don't you put that instead of '[ANN] [USDe] Unitary Status Dollar eCoin | ***Shop Online with USDe!***', so that people don't end up with worthless coins.
