61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥🔥[ANN][AIRDROP] BOX Token Airdrop Begins!🔥🔥🔥 on: April 11, 2018, 01:47:57 PM
That looks cool, is Box launching it's ICO or it's already listed on exchange?

What is the Box Token (BOX) used for?

In the short run, BOX will be CastBox’s primary transaction currency. You can use it to purchase premium membership, promote your creative contents or participate in the contests in the app. In the long run, you can spend BOX beyond CastBox. Essentially all payments on the apps developed under ContentBox will have to be settled in BOX token.

Which exchanges will list BOX?

We have engaged early on in conversations with exchanges. For strategic reasons, we will only disclose names once 100% confirmed.

Will there be a public token sale?

We will NOT do a crowd sale for BOX tokens. However, we are planning a directional offering solely for CastBox users in the near future. Please stay tuned by joining our telegram group or following us on Twitter.

Do you consider your token to be of a utility or security type?

It is a utility type.

66  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook accepts Bitcoin? on: April 04, 2018, 09:43:46 AM
Maybe someday Facebook will release its own token, but I don't think it will accept bitcoin.

Is it legal to bet with Bitcoin all over the world? I guess some country may ban this kind of bet?

69  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Online Dating on: March 27, 2018, 04:59:32 AM
It just provides another ways for people know each other. You need to take part in some parties or go to a bar to know new people, online dating is just the same.
70  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Breaking: China May Legalize ICO Soon on: March 27, 2018, 04:56:31 AM
Wow, but I think there will be many regulations on it then.
71  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need regulations? on: March 27, 2018, 04:25:58 AM
Yes, I honestly think that we do need regulations, at least for ICO.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot be a global currency on: March 26, 2018, 10:10:10 AM
I think bitcoin is just a global asset, not currency.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ETH 460$ on yesterday? on: March 19, 2018, 11:20:01 AM
It is a good point to get on the ETH rocket.  Grin
Anyway, I do think the price may be lower in the coming month, but for a long term, I think this would be a good opportunity to get more chips with lower price.
74  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ICO investment Risk on: March 17, 2018, 03:03:09 AM
ICO investment is a very high risk, I would say in most casts, it is just like a gambling game, not an investment.
And in 2018, most of the ICO fall on its first day of trading since there are too many altcoins.

Piggybacking off of what Mits said, this was very helpful so thank you for sharing with us your insights.

However, for a newbie like me, do you mind talking about which trading platforms you use to even start trading?

For example with stocks, you can use RobinHood, Scottrade or invest using a Robo-advisor but what about with cryptocurrency?
76  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I've made 600k in Crypto - When to call it quits on: March 07, 2018, 03:48:53 AM
So, I am fortunate enough to make 600k from buying and trading Bitcoin and other crypto assets, and I don't know what to do with the money. Personally I think this is the year I will become a millionaire, as I can only see the market cap of all coins growing.

[.....]

This is not based on greed btw, I want to make enough money so I can buy my siblings houses and see them mortgage free.

What would you do if you were me? When do we call it a day and give up trading?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Are you saying you've never taken profit to USD? You've been actively trading altcoins.... what is your tax situation? How do you plan to deal with the capital gains?

Raiblocks has already seen phenomenal growth. Sure, another double is possible, but the idea of not taking some profit off the table seems certifiably insane to me.

Your portfolio is not well-diversified. I would stop thinking about buying people houses and start thinking about better diversification and overall exit plan. You especially need to craft a tax plan that considers short term vs. long term gains and maximizes the capital you can reinvest. Remember, none of this is real until you have some of that USD value stashed in real bank accounts. It's prudent to put some gains away for taxes and a few years of living expenses, while reinvesting profits from your remaining capital investments.

Very good advice!

There are some projects working on this issue, but seems there is no a perfect solution for this till now.
Vitalik also addressed this issue in his article on 2014, "The search for a stable cryptocurrency".
A project named "Maker" is working on this issue, not sure if it could success,  I'll keep an eye on their latest update.
78  Economy / Economics / Re: let us promote BITCOIN on: March 03, 2018, 03:06:18 PM
I found there are some podcasts on bitcoin, they are very good stuff to promote bitcoin.
I am listening some of them now on my way to work.
The "Bitcoin Crypto Mastermind" hosted by Tai Lopez is a good one, here is the link (http://castbox.fm/channel/Bitcoin-Crypto-Mastermind-id1108208)
The "CRYPTO 101" is also a good one. (http://castbox.fm/channel/CRYPTO-101-id973054)
79  Economy / Economics / CryptoCurrency or CryptoAsset on: March 03, 2018, 11:39:13 AM
Per my understanding, current cryptocurrencies are not suitable for payment since their value is not stable. So they are more like a cryptoasset.
Will anybody use bitcoin to pay for a coffee now?
USDT is a solution since it provide a stable value, but it is actually not a decentralized currency.
Is there any solution to have a decentralized solution and at the same time with a stable value?
I think there is a big opportunity to make a cryptocurrency that has a stable value and could be used for payment.

I don't think they will have a bounty plan.
