Dude is obviously a self loathing F**k, why else would you continually put yourself in a position where you're just gonna be made to feel like shit. You already lost 4 bitcoins, I spent all my btc on Lotto when it was 48, instead of bitching about the drop in value I doubled the amount of lotto coin I had, we are all getting tired of having to sift through all this shit to see the actual constructive posts that appear on this forum. I suppose that's your objective but seriously, if you spent the time you spend on this nonconstructive posting and did something constructive with your time, you'd be much better off.

i'm actually curious abt germany accounting for bitcoin on tax purpose.. how does that work exactly? Does a company provide one single wallet address and then subject it to taxes on that account?

not 100% sure on that, I guess it would fall under any private money laws they have and guess it would be up to whom ever to decide if they actually want to claim or not?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=YcIbEGjEYTc

hmm that was an interesting vid but not much more information on it than what we could speculate ourselves... ah well.. i am curious though as to how much of bitcoins value is derived from the fact that it is unregulated.. and how much future regulations will actually influence its adoption..

There's a ton of articles out there, none really explain the full implications, as far as bitcoin value, most bitcoiners like to say the value comes from the payment system more than anything. the ability to transfer "funds" around the world in a short period of time with a very small fee, outside of exchange rates and times and such. Like any market the value is representative of demand the more people that want bitcoin the harder it is to get bitcoins therefor the value must go up to accommodate the demand.

I dont know where you guys got this information that Bitcoin was stamped as real money or "Legal currency" the only country that's even come close to this is Germany.. and even then it's only considered legal as a unit of account so that they can tax it.

I agree with the quote just want to expand on it further.

There is a lot of misunderstanding and disinformation regarding what BTC and altcoins are.

Much of the confusion is the result of most people being brainwashed from birth to be statists because they attended public education and watched too much TV.

What people need to understand is that governments are not "real" They are legal fictions. Yes I know there are armies, buildings and physical things that manifest themselves but "government" itself is really no different then a corporation.

A bunch of people get together, write down some shit on a piece of paper (constitution), they sign it and poof "government" exists where before it did not.

So if government only really exists on paper then it is easy to understand that governments jurisdiction does not extend to infinity. It can only extend so far as they have contracts, or agreements, legislation, treaties etc. All things that also only exist on paper.

Now since BTC and other alt coins were basically created open source out of nothing and no contracts or legislation were made to create them, there really is nothing on paper for governments to attach themselves too. There is nothing for them to contract with. They have no jurisdiction, period.

Now they can claim they do, they can say anything they want and you can believe them if you wish. But BTC and altcoins are outside of their control because they cannot contract with or create treaties with something that is not a "legal entity" and has no governing body (another corporation basically) with which to contract with.

So is BTC money? Well it depends on your definition of "money."

If by "money" you mean "legal tender" something created by a corporation, (the federal reserve is a corporation) then no it is not.

If by "money" you mean something of value that people are willing to accept in exchange then yes it is.

Now they can regulate the trading of BTC into USD or other government currencies because you are dealing in "their" money. They get jurisdiction on the fiat side of that trade, not the BTC side.

Just like they can tax you on your labor, as soon as you convert it into fiat, not before.

For example if I build a table from raw materials. The table is worth more then the material it is made from. I have gained "value" but tax is not due until I sell it for fiat.

Hope that helps people wrap their heads around what cryptocurrency is.

Well said, I made that post because some one was asking about the legality of gambling with crypto currencies because apparently bitcoin was considered legal tender or legal trading currencty in America or something along those lines, (post is near the bottom of page 261 with subsequent reply's thereafter). Just wanted to point out that is not the fact currently.

Yea, prices may be low, but the lower the prices the bigger the percentage per satoshi.

Can we just come back to reality for a moment and ask the important questions that we need answers to.

Most important of all, which needs answering for the good of all here is this:

Is this sweet or salted popcorn?

Without full disclosure of this, how can we be expected to remain committed to these discussions?

well mine's butterscotch caramel.. not sure what you get from licking the screen though

that sounds damn good...

I like me some white cheddar popcorn!!

testbitcoiner is just EAC's C3ALL. Most of the people over their are pretty friendly. There are just a few turkeys that make the whole group look bad just like here.

For a second there I read that as testiboner.

I believe everything would stay the same as long as everyone used the updated wallet, basically there would be two different branches of Lotto coin and everyone would have their coins, but the two would be incompatible with each other, ie. would not be able to transfer lottos mined on the old fork to the new fork etc.   But I'm not expert so I do not know if this information is 100% correct.

I've been kind of enjoying the volatility, it's allowed me to regain some of my portfolio value through those single satoshi value changes Tongue, seems like some patterns are starting to show Smiley, and it is looking like it may be on a slow upswing! but that's just hopeful speculation.

Hello Lotto Coiners, been following this thread for a little over a week. First time I heard of lotto coin was on cryptsy. I'm some what of a crypto noob, and seeing that this was a pretty young coin I scoured this forum and read all of the conversations which were very helpful and gave me the feeling that there were many parties that truly cared about this coin..

I must say trading lotto has been quite nerve racking, and extremely exciting..  I jumped on with everything I had at the very beginning, and it went up for a bit. I managed to sell it all off at that peak around 60, then I re bought everything at 48 and it kept going down Sad

Continually checking this forum for some sort of explanation, I ended up selling everything off around 40 and re buying at 33. It kept on going down,  my heart sank, I'd put everything I'd ever earned from mining into this coin and it seemed like I'd made a horrible mistake.

But I have a great feeling about this coin, the last week as a viewer, trader and intermittent miner I have seen a lot of progress in the community and it's comforting Smiley.

The new logo looks really good, and the press release's have been outstanding, I just thought I would share some of my lotto coin story and give a super big thumbs up and thank you to every one working on lotto coin and in this forum.

Being a total noob I never thought I would have the chance to be a part of a baby coin and go on the journey from the beginning, and although there have been other's, I chose lottocoin, because something inside me said it was the right choice, and lets face it, we're all here to make money and well, a crypto called lotto aimed at gambling seemed like the logical decision.

Happy New Year everyone, and keep up the GOOD WORK!!!!!!  Grin

I'm a fairly new miner, started about 2 months ago with my 6950 which got me about 400 Kh, I wish I'd known about this stuff sooner, cause it put me under some kind of spell lol!

After mining a couple weeks I managed to setup a dedicated mining rig with 3 280x's and still run my 6950 when I sleep Tongue. Got quite into trading after I had a bit of crypto, it's really exciting, I'm currently sitting on a loss of about .150 bitcoin Sad but, it's fun, and you never know, maybe I'll get lucky! haha.

if your having trouble with cg miner make sure your not using the newest version as it doesn't support gpu mining only asic i'm using 3.1.0 then make your self a text file and enter something like this

cgminer --scrypt -o     stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.coinpool.de:1000 (<--your pool address) -u xxxxxx-p xxxxxx   (-I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-engine 1030 --gpu-memclock 1500   go to https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparison and find your hardware and enter config information here)   save coinmining.bat and make sure the save file type is all files and save in the cgminer folder   once thats done double click the .bat and you should be mining.

You'll probably want to join a mining pool, do a google search for hobonickle mining pools, then get yourself a copy of cgminer and google cgminer altcoin tutorial and that should get you started.
