One way to test for IPFS on these Masternodes is by directly trying to access one of the IPFS hashs with the masternode ip addresses (The following hash is for the ethoFS logo). This shows that you can access the same IPFS hash from all 5 Masternode/IPFS gateways.

Keep in mind that this is a very limited testnet with limited functionality but we are beginning to expand capabilities and during alpha we will be able to deploy to a larger group of masternodes to continue the testing/development.

Masternode/Service Node reward payments move up to 50% of full rewards tomorrow. It's only a matter of days before 100% rewards are live! We are up to 80 Masternodes and 32 Service Nodes already and still 6 days to go before official release. 1360000 ETHO is already locked in master & service nodes.

We will begin testing the payout/reward system in the next few days so all systems are functional prior to official release date of 7/23/18. It pays to be an early adopter!

The Alpha Test Group has started deploying nodes, you can track node deployment at https://nodes.ether1.org As soon as we iron out all the kinks and make sure the deployment system is stable we will transition to beta and open up deployment to everyone!

This is very interesting, I will have to do some more investigation into this. Has anyone else had similar results between the two pools?


Also, some upcoming Ether-1 Events that may excite some people:

1) Ether-1 Masternode/Service Node Alpha testing begins on July 6 and we plant to have the entire node rewards system active before the end of July.

2) We will also be rolling out some new monetary policy guidelines with the new Masternode/Service Node binary release. This will include a new block reward scheme aimed at capping the max ETHO supply below 100 million. The system is still in testing but details on the new rewards scheme will be announced when testing is completed in July.

Mainnet launch is at 8:00P EST on 5/20/18 (Midnight GMT 5/21/18) and Reddit should be setup in the next few days.

Although the initial max coin supply is listed as unlimited, we plan to start decreasing block rewards at some point. The current plan is to release Masternodes & Service Nodes and analyze the lockup rate and then make some educated decisions based on the what the community needs are while trying to maintain a healthy demand for the coin & project overall. As we all have seen with some of these masternode coins/projects, volume & trading inertia is a fairly common problem. Too high of a lockup rate causes a substantial drop in trading volume. Finding that equilibrium point is not an easy task but I think this problem can be overcome. While trading volume is not at the top of our priority list, it is still a critical part of a healthy economy. The teams initial thoughts are somewhere around block 1 million we will have a definitive long term outlook/plan for monetary policy, inflation control and at what rate block reward reduction will happen at.

Take a look at the white paper. Our goal is to be an end-to-end decentralized hosting/dev solution with a custom top level domain that sets us apart. The goal in the end is to have a url like ether1.dec be immediately identifiable as being hosted (decentralized) on our node network.

We have plenty of resources to get exchange listed. No immediate plans to change algo but not against doing anything that benefits the community.
