62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Cryptsy having problems? on: March 24, 2014, 09:07:31 PM
They have run off with your funds, you will never see them again.

But all kidding aside,
Take a deep breath, go open a beer, get back, and calmly try again.

I just managed to login, so dont panic.
63  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you care? on: March 24, 2014, 08:47:45 PM
I love the fact that you included Pastafarian.
However, still not sending any money Tongue
64  Economy / Gambling / Re: Selling a method on: March 24, 2014, 08:42:13 PM
Well, this is a golden oldie.
You will say that they need to the same as you, tell them they can make money by paying you.

Hell, this one was used in newspapers a long long time ago

67  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Cloud Hashing on: March 24, 2014, 08:34:49 PM
Can anyone actually show me how is it possible to reach ROI with cloud hashing of any kind. Please show me an example, BTC spend on leasing - expected mined BTC = profit. Is this possible and how? Factor in expected BTC difficulty increase pls.

Well, in the case of CEX, you buy it once and keep it till the company shuts down.
so in that time, you dont have to worry about:
- Failing hardware
- Power costs
- Networking issues
- Girlfriend/wife whining about the noise

So say for example you buy 200ghash and let it mine for lets say, 5 years, there could be some return in it.
and when the fees get higher then the incoming BTC, you sell off the Ghash, hoping that the price hasnt lowered so much.

thats what i do btw, i mine scrypt, convert some into BTC and buy ghash.

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: thoughts on the new KNC scrypt miner & the effect it will have on scrypt mining on: March 24, 2014, 09:49:45 AM
Diff is going to go up for the most profitable scrypt coins. Gpu ppl move to other coins that are more asic resistant.

Yup, For example Vertcoin.
72  Economy / Speculation / Re: Value of Bitcoin will go down on: March 24, 2014, 08:30:12 AM
price go up and down is natural
i think for a long term, btc prices will go up.  Cool

If there is more intergration then yes.
If it halts, or gets less, then the value will go down.

If paypal/ebay decides to use BTC, the price will skyrocket.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Solving all of Bitcoins Problems :: EUROPE COIN on: March 23, 2014, 11:28:13 PM
Wonder what this one is going to turn to.
Btw, i'm guessing everyone gets the same username & password.
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: Value of Bitcoin will go down on: March 23, 2014, 11:24:20 PM
I have been reading such statements for few months now ... meanwhile, some people really became really reach ... therefore, go crying somewhere else ... I will take the chance ...

Months?
I've been reading them for years now, however they have yet to be correct.
75  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Transaction thrown back to pending 0.9.0 on: March 23, 2014, 11:18:17 PM
This is correct.

If you only have a single output received in the wallet, then when you send bitcoins, the entire output must be spent.  The wallet creates a single transaction that spends that previously received output and creates two new outputs, one to send the bitcoins where you want to, and the other to send the "change" back into the wallet.  This means that the wallet doesn't have any outputs that are confirmed until that transaction is confirmed, and therefore the balance is "pending".

Ah ok, So its a new feature then.
Nevermind finding the bugtracker then.

Thanks for the heads up on this.
76  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Transaction thrown back to pending 0.9.0 on: March 23, 2014, 11:10:23 PM
So, after i bought some new coins, i wanted to spend them
So when the first confirm came in, i spend a bit.
but i wanted to spend more, but i couldnt.
What i noticed was that after i made the first transaction, my incoming funds went back to pending.
So i decided to test it again when it went back to confirmed.
I made another payment, and guess what, the funds went back to pending agian.
Included are 2 screenshots for your amusement, now, lets go find that bugtracker.

77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 0.9.0 FINAL is available [Changelog] [Download] on: March 23, 2014, 10:59:54 PM
Seems to me that every time i make a payment when i still have 1 inbound transfer with less then 6 confirms.
It throws my balance back to pending.

anyone else having this issue?

78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BETARIGS.COM - Cryptocurrency cloud mining - 2000+ rigs online to rent! on: March 23, 2014, 10:44:37 PM
So i wanted to rent a rig, had the funds just transferred into my wallet.
However, after i did the first rent and payed for it, i wanted to rent a second rig.
So, clicked rent and went to my wallet to pay.
However, for some reason my funds went back to "Pending" so i cant pay for the rig

This is for rig "Mining rig #3459 Maximus 2 [EU] 2.8 Mh"
I'm sorry for the owner, but why is there no "Cancel rent" button?

Edit:
Well, my wallet came to its senses.
So it worked out ok.

But still, i would like to see a cancel button for these cases.
79  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Sam email doing the rounds on: March 22, 2014, 07:17:47 PM
Recieved this one to, seems pretty legit, however when i tried to open it on an android device it failed.
Was getting ready to open it in a VM when i read this.

However, reading the VB, i cant seem to figure out what they are trying to do.
