65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Alt coin to invest in 2014 on: April 03, 2014, 09:57:51 AM
i love the comments XX is expected to go to price Y this year .....

Expected by whom? Only by the person who posted it Wink

Ask yourself same simple questions.

What does make the coin/project special?

- A real competitive advantage. Not some minor changes like, a bigger coinsupply or something.
- Is this coin a complement or substitute for Bitcoin?
-etc..
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: April 02, 2014, 12:24:39 PM
cryptsy's cashouts are very slow, you can try to write a ticket to the help desk. It can take several days.
Dgex is still ok for a quick buy, but liquidity is shrinking.
Bter is the best place atm, but regulations and china could be a problem.

1. Cash in 2. Buy 3. Cashout

69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 25, 2014, 08:46:26 AM
and i dont think we should move all the discussion to the new forum. As someone already pointed out, this thread alone is good advertisement for Nxt.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 24, 2014, 09:53:08 AM
Is anyone seeing a discrepancy between the Nxt data on coinmarketcap vs. the exchanges? It seems way up on coinmarketcap but on Bter and Cryptsy it's been holding steady all day at around 7000. Just wondering where coinmarketcap is getting its price info.

On vircurex the price is over 9000 satoshis. Don't know what is goning on over there.

Vircurex has problems and its prices shouldnt be used as a reference.

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AphroditeCoinTrain > Slowpump on: March 23, 2014, 06:50:57 PM
usually the pump and dump schemes help a few people and cost more people money. Increase volatility and dont help the development of cryptolandscape.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 23, 2014, 10:13:13 AM
are there plans to add two-factor authentication to Nxt?
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone buying Nextcoin? on: March 19, 2014, 09:53:30 PM
Its really hard to predict when NEM will be out, its a project with potential but in a very early stage. NXT is here, has a client and can be traded on exchanges and is moving forward rapidly.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: March 17, 2014, 06:06:46 PM
can someone explain to me how nxtp00l.org works?

the page is pretty empty.

do you just lend out mining power and get Nxt in return, basically he is mining other coins with it and pays you.

79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherium v NXT on: March 10, 2014, 05:59:05 PM
its not a question of premined or not but a question of innovation. Nxt choose a different path than Bitcoin, so what...

Let the results speak for themselves.

Nxt is running and on a whole different architecture than all these other copycoins.
The Nxt thread is the most active one in the whole alternate cryptocurrency subforum.
...

We will see what Etherium can do, but i prefer it to 99% of the other coins that are coming out right now.
