61  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: btcgarden-AM-v1 only $0.85/GHs 1.045w/GHs. In stock for international selling! on: July 22, 2014, 01:31:45 AM
Got my 4x 2board units today, unpacked and mining in about 15minutes flat. Super simple setup and currently hashing @ 1220gh and 1400w @wall.

No issues with delivery, took roughly 5 days.

Edit: Can we please get a different mirror for the rpi images? 20k/sec download in the USA kind of sucks.

65  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Novec 7000 Project [immersive evaporating cooling] on: July 16, 2014, 04:23:12 AM
I'm just waiting my FREE (yay !!!!) Novec 7000 and 7100 delivery, i'll put 9 Gridseed Blades in it, so 18 PCBs very close to each others. I'll mix the 7000 and 7100 together to have a perfect boiling point at 47,6 °C. 34°C is nice for the GC3355 chips but too low for coils and things, and 61°C is too hot for the chips. So i think we can get the best results when mixed up Grin

I'll post some pics when making all the stuff Wink

I would strongly advise not mixing these fluids until you speak to a 3m engineer. They may very well not mix at all and just settle on top of each other - depending on the properties.

Also, you really suck. :-)

I will buy 30 units, if you negotiate $1000 for SP30.

I am serious, will PM you. If anything changes, I keep the right to refuse my reservation.

haha... if he somehow negotiates $1000 for a Sept delivery SP30 I'll buy 100+. No joke.

Cold storage is provided free of charge by the CDIC.  Paper wallets are stored in a class TRTL-30 - 4,875lb safe.  Safe is located in a secured undisclosed data center.

Haha who puts a safe in a data center. What the f---. Is your safe rack mountable? :-P

^Are you paying less then 0.22$ per hour for EC2 c3.8xlarge? This is 7.63 times lower then the official price on their site. I never used their services, so I'm "uninitiated".

That's a little bit lower, but yeah pretty close to that price. Your looking at the wrong "official price". :-)
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency [CPU/GPU(NVIDIA+AMD)] on: July 03, 2014, 10:39:47 AM
or a large number of Amazon EC2 instances, you need to cover the costs. This is a regular business for dumpers, not the investment vehicle.
With a c3.8xlarge Amazon EC2 the Monero price should be more then 25$ for 1 XMR in order to cover the costs:
1.68$ per hour * 24 hours = 40.32$ per day
<MoneroBot> With 1000 H/s you should get 1.36 XMR per Day
40.32 / 1.36 = 29.65 $ per 1 XMR to just cover the costs.
The people currently selling are mining on already payed GPU rigs with free or cheep electricity, system admins or students with access to large CPU farms (electricity payed from their institution), botnets (you should be very ignorant if you can't find if a botnet is using your PC to mine) or bought earlier on lower prices. They'll continue to sell no meter the price, because it's free money for them. I doubt they are selling all the mined XMR, but they are selling most of it. Home mining on a i7 CPU is still profitable, but you are mining 0.2 XMR per day. By the way 10% of all the XMR are now mined - 90% to go - still high inflation, but it's becoming irreversibly lower each day and with the XMR potential the price won't go much lower. I doubt the price will touch 0.003 again and I'll be very surprised if it touches 0.002. If it goes below 0.0018 (even if all the governments put a ban on XMR before the I2P C implementation is ready) I would never buy any alt again.

Can we stop doing EC2 math with the wrong numbers? Only the uninitiated are paying full price for EC2 instances.

You are correct however that it is not profitable on EC2 and it hasn't been since the price fell below about 0.006 - unless of course your name starts with a C and you have a killer nVidia GPU miner.

74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v3.3 on: June 24, 2014, 09:04:47 AM

Claymore, as per my PMs please add a background thread that polls the main pool every 30sec and switches back when it becomes alive again. And allow normal usernames (eg: sang-2482) for ANY pool address, not just hardcoded support for minergate.

These two options will mean that Betarigs picks up Cryptonite algo and we can all rent our mining rigs out if we desire. Your users will love you.

I will not do it in this update, sorry, it requires more time than I have for this update, but I will do it in next update.

Excellent!
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore XMR/QCN/FCN/BCN GPU Miner v3.3 on: June 24, 2014, 08:55:33 AM
Claymore, please fix the pool switching in this thing. Pool ops are starting to call it the "Claymore effect." Pool goes down for a tenth of a second, and all the Claymore miners disappear. Since almost every bit of code used in an XMR pool is buggy as shit, it needs to be restarted every few hours.

Ok, update will be available in 1-3 hours. 3 reconnect attempt, every 10 seconds, before switching to different pool.

This has got to be the biggest scamcoin i've ever seen. Obviously photoshopped "Call" UI that doesn't even make sense (you say # will be wallet address, then why would I want a dial pad?). Not to mention, how the hell will you do Anonymous-VOIP? Certainly not over the insanely slow and lagged Tor network. End to end ecryption? Ok Sure, but you still have known endpoints - not anonymous.

Run, don't walk, away from this coin.

(PS: Im launching SuperVeilCoin next week, we're going to do Anonymous VOIP Video calling. Working on the photoshopped QT wallet with a iPhone Facetime UI pasted in.)

"MonetaVerde is the first coin with the block reward increasing with difficulty growth"

lol.... way to completely miss the entire economic theory behind mining reward vs difficulty adjustment.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - Secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: June 20, 2014, 11:05:32 AM

Let's do the math.

Top EC2 instance has around 700 hash/sec. One added instance is likely to have 42,000 difficulty increase.
To get 100,000,000 difficulty increase you'd have to add 2,380 of top EC2 instance. Each of the instances costs more than $1000 per month ($33 per day) and requires some work to increase the limits on your account and prepare the servers for mining.

Not only I don't believe someone invest $80,000 a day to mine XMR, it's very unlikely that it could happen in 2 days.

Let me break this down for you:

1) Top EC2 instance has around 700 hash/sec. -- Wrong
2) Each of the instances costs more than $1000 per month ($33 per day) -- Wrong
3) It's very unlikely that it could happen in 2 days. -- Wrong

Your math may be right, but your inputs are all wrong. Botnets can't come anywhere near EC2.
