Does anybody have other links for the minerd for the pool? The Chinese links don't seem to work for me.

Is anybody good at integrating hashes into cgminer / sgminer ?

From doing some research, it looks like the fugue256 hash may be the same as the metis hash from MetisCoin.

You can get the metis.cl file from the various MetisCoin GPU miners floating around. I tried to use this metis.cl file in SGMiner but haven't been able to get it to compile.

Is the process of integrating a hash into sgminer more complicated than this?
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FlutterCoin FLT Official Information Thread on: March 14, 2014, 05:28:06 PM
I think a key component for the web site will be a FAQ or page about the "Proof of Block / Proof of Transaction" feature, as it keeps coming up in the thread. Specifically, people will want to know why it won't work / be profitable to send money back and forth to yourself to game the feature and earn free coins. Also additional details about the Proof of Stake feature (percentages, vesting times, etc.) will be key, as I have noticed an overall increased interest in PoS coins as investment tools (i.e. HBN).

I really like this coin now that the fork issues seem to be all worked out.

The dev expressed some interest on CryptoCoinTalk about looking into an exchange - any idea of a good exchange to pursue trading at?

First, I love this pool - the only one that features a Scrypt-N port as far as I know.

Are you planning on adding any more Scrypt-N coins? I notice that many new coins are using this algorithm and it would be nice to have more coins to compare profitability between than PANDA and VTC.

I have played around with settings and think I have found optimal settings (at least for my 280X card - just like Scrypt there may be some heterogeneity).

Here are my sgminer settings for my Diamond 280X with 3GB RAM:

--kernel darkcoin
-g 2
-w 256
--lookup-gap 2
--thread-concurrency 8192
--shaders 2048
--gpu-engine 1100
--gpu-memclock 1700
--intensity 13

Getting 2.285 MH/s with rock solid stability and GPU temperature 61C

If this has been of help to anyone, any tips would be very much appreciated (trying to put together enough $ to get another graphics card):

Has anybody managed to compile the most recent elmad / darkcoin-cpuminer-1.3-avx-aes version for Windows 64-bit? I have been trying with MinGW and can't figure it out. I would be very grateful if someone more skilled at this than I could share a compiled binary.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi, I'm a dedicated DRK miner/holder and am generally a forum lurker, but I just read an article that put DarkCoin in a positive light:

http://cryptolife.net/breakdown-anonymizing-cryptocurrencies/

"The nice thing about this implementation [DarkSend] is that it doesn’t require any additional overhead, and doesn’t require trusting third parties..."

And the conclusion was "I don’t think any of these solve the problem completely. Currently, darkcoin with it’s coinjoin implementation is likely the most reasonable proposal..."

Despite this recent chaos, I'm still very bullish about DarkCoin's growth potential.
