can you use the maxcoin cgminer with nvidia cards ? because mine does nog work en read here that some actually pulled it off someone please help?

It works however my ti560 was 40000 vs 72000.

I just used their compiled version with defaults and it ran, when I tried to optomize it cgminer would crash.

Well it's been fun guys but the difficulty just shot up to 21,000 GG

I would have to agree. Its been fun messing around with cgminer and GPUs again, as brief as it was lol.

I let out cudaminer as well, great app as well. I would have made a decent amount of coin except the DDos attacks made my pc disconnect in the middle of the night and I missed 12 hours of mining.

Not sure if anyone else is having the same results, but my GTX 560ti is getting about double the hash speed of cudaminer by using cgminer.

I forget how you enable cgminer to use Nvidia

This speed is only for keccak algorithm.

I didn't have to do anything. I downloaded cgminer from http://maxdl.1gh.com/cgminer-windows.zip?nocache=0.4958481655921787

Then set my .bat file to cgminer.exe --keccak -o address:port -p password

Getting 45m/hash for maxcoin where as I was getting around 19m/hash on cudaminer

Ahh, ok I see.

Im using the linux version I dont see an option to add Nvidia cards so cgminer sees them. At least in the readme.

So what pool are you people mining? Smalltimeminer is weird..  I get alot of stratum detected new block, then no hashing no nothing for 10 seconds, and then I get a few yay.

Max1.lgh I can't even connect to

From what I can see they are all getting DDos'd.

66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 08, 2014, 04:38:03 AM
So is Dwarf the only pool playing nicely with Cuda?

Everything else seems to get excessive fails and Boos. Not able to connect to ypool. Sick of watching Dwarf not find any blocks.

Sigh.

Its been working great for me for the past 2 hours.

67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 07, 2014, 03:41:14 AM
Modify the Cudaminer batch file and change the port there. not in your roaming/conf file

BTW

Should I sell now? Or should I wait until tomorrow?

Tried using /cudaminer --algo=keccak  -o stratum+tcp://maxpool.1gh.com:17333 mKJvUSXJcb2gpCgXXVxsoyXyPvsYgoCFnA:x - had a lot more commands in tried removing them one by one to see if that was the error.

Started CMD to see what the error is since it just dies instantly and it says "This command doesnt exist" (with cmds words ofc).

EDIT: also tried using localhost but that didn't work either.

does cudaminer work with 1gh?

At the moment no, no it does not

Ahh, here is my issue then.

For those of you trying to mine on ypool

Go to How To, Click Doge, Download the xptproxy

Launch the proxy. use the address http://localhost:8332 with all your configure for cudaminer etc.

It should be able to connect and mine Smiley

Basically download this:

http://jhwork.net/ypool/xptproxy.zip

then cudaminer blah blah -o http://localhost:8332

Tried this but all I get are "booo"s with 0 accepted. Does it work for you with accepted shares?

Only just set it up right now. testing right now

For me nothing happens, perhaps its just me who is doing something wrong, but yeah, let me know if you get it to work Smiley

Got it working now, but it says is running on an unknown algorithm, thats why it only gets boo's

Well if it's not accepting shares, it's not working right?

Right, which was my point. I can only say its not finding shares, but offer nothing to point to any sort of error to help troubleshoot.

[2014-02-06 19:17:59] GPU #0: GeForce GTX 560 Ti, 1051200 khash/s  Getting this currently with 0 accepted shares, While my CPU is actually finding shares. I am fairly certain the GPU miner is not working.

How you can get 1051200? I have ~77200 with F1536x16 on my GTX 560 Ti

That's why I posted it, its just sitting there finding nothing, while my CPU miner is finding shares. I wish I could offer more to even begin to troubleshoot but it appears to be working aside from actually finding anything.

So I have my Ti 560 running however my old I7 is finding more shares running at like 560kh, anyone else getting the same issue?

I have found 1 share mining at http://max.1gh.com/ and it was a boooo, not a yay. and thats at 72000 with the 560, something seems odd for sure.
72  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: February 03, 2014, 08:35:28 PM
As released today on BusinessWire and CoinDesk, LabRatMining is working with CoinSeed CEO, Merlin Kauffman, to help CoinSeed build out an extremely large scale mine.  By partnering up with Merlin, LabRatMining will also benefit from the economies of scale on the hardware and build-out alike.  We're looking forward to a longstanding relationship with CoinSeed and Dave Carlson of MegaBigPower.  The circumstances involved in this deal ensure that LabRatMining is here to stay.

Yep, guess I read that wrong, LabRatMining will help CoinSeed build out a farm.

Clarification would be fantastic, I think the only reason I refrain from going off in this thread is I keep getting my 5 dollar Banana each week.

Right now I just consider this a complete loss.

Oh, and where the eff is the trading interface on the website? Can Lab Rat please pay someone to build that real quick? sigh..
73  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: February 02, 2014, 04:29:35 PM
GHash.io is a very temporary solution.  There's something in the works with Merlin that will make this problem go away.

Cool, maybe a better pool I can point my miners at as well?

I vote for Eligius. Zero fee, merged namecoin mining, low variance, high uptime. And you know owners/developers very well

The Bitfury miners would run like shit on Eligius, mainly because you cannot control Diff yet. I know because I have several and their auto adjustment just does not work for whatever reason with the bitfury miners.

Oops, yep. lol.

Meant BFG sorry.
76  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales NEW STOCK ***NOW SHIPPING*** on: January 22, 2014, 03:06:21 AM
however, when i try to update bfgminer with:

Code:
cd bfgminer && git pull && make && sudo make install && sudo shutdown -r now

i get this:

Code:
error: Your local changes to the following files would be overwritten by merge:
driver-bfsb.c
Please, commit your changes or stash them before you can merge.
Aborting

how can i fix this error?

I had that problem back when I tried to update cgminer in minepeon. Kano used this as a solution back then:

git checkout etc/miner.conf.donate
git pull

So I am guessing (might be wrong) your solution might be something like this:

Code:
cd bfgminer && git checkout driver-bfsb.c && git pull && make && sudo make install && sudo shutdown -r now

worked great Morblias, thank you.

my stratum connection is rock solid now and i'm continuing to tweek chip settings.

Can you actually tune individual chips with MFG?

Any price drops on the 400+ GH/s models or introduction of higher GH/s setups (basically an addon master card/board)?
I see they are selling them quite good and overpriced of course. When people are buying them is there any reason prices to be dropped?
The answer is......

I still don't understand why people are paying for overpriced miners to fund bitfury's private farm (currently at 200TH). Remember people: for every miner sold, bitfury adds a couple more to his farm so think twice before ordering. Stupid stupid people.

Because it's an ASIC miner that ships today.

And do you honestly think that Bitfury doesn't currently have enough funds to support it's own private farm without the few pennies that we add to their coffers?  Lol.  Who's stupid now?

Everything has a reason dude... Just think about it

I hope you're not responding to me.  I just received a 1/2 rig, 1/4 rig and 3 V1 H boards last week.  I happen to think Bitfury and BitMain gear are very reasonably priced at the moment.

An even lower price would be better but I'm not waiting around for that to happen.  I think those who are always complaining about over-priced gear will never be happy enough to make a purchase.  That's why the ASIC vendors just ignore their pleas.  Why try to satisfy a potential customer who will never actually buy your product, right?

+1. when the price drop happened, it was enough for me to justify a small purchase. however, they need to come down another 20% before I go out and buy full rigs.

alternatively, they fix the rPi SD-corrupting issues and ill buy Smiley  its a massive pissoff that i am scared to reboot the unit or otherwise touch it at all when in operation, even if i think a few more GH/s could be had

Have you tried a new RPi klondike? I am using the same SD card from months ago without a hitch. I have 3 Other RPis that run Cgminer that have been running since the release of the RPi. I dont think its something wrong with the Image that's causing it.

It takes one night of fine tuning, you save your best.cnf file for both warm and cold temps and when its too warm you just rename a file and its back to stable. My new half rig runs at 310, half of what my full does so I am happy. It took me about an hour to get it to that point because I already knew the tricks.

Now I just need to turn it off one more time so I can put some stabilizers in and it may run even higher Smiley

new price is still too high, but less insulting. drop it to 200 and you can actually start moving inventory

$200 is unnecessarily low. I'd pay 0.40 BTC per card if shipped today, which is currently $325. So if the exchange rate were to jump up to $935 in the next couple hours, I'd buy more v1.2 cards. I'm more conservative in my hardware purchases than alot of people, so they definitely don't need to reduce the price any lower than $325 to keep sales flowing.

if you prefer to spend more money than make then yes. card running at 33ghs would not make its .4 btc back

I run mine at up to 39GH/card. But I pay over $0.30/kwh for electricity so the current prices (in BTC) are a bit too high for me.

how did you get so high at 39Gh/s?

39GH/s is the average of the cards in my most optimized v2 rig. I raised the voltage to about 0.85v when idle. I never got around to checking when hot. And I spent alot of time finding the best speed settings per chip without overloading the VRMs. When the weather warms like in the last few days here, some cards' VRMs cut out until I tune down the chip speeds just a bit, usually just 2 chips at a time until it's stable again.

if you really think about how much work goes into fine tunning these things just to get a few extra satoshis over your investment. almost not worth it. i can be wrong, people can get pleasure out of this.... masochists Wink

Yeah, dare I say this is a lot of time wasted as you could be doing something else more fun than repetitively scrolling through .stats.log and making minor changes like some feudal era peasant. It gets repetitive and monotonous after some time.

maybe he/she meant mining s/w auto to backup pool.

You would have to use your own stratum proxy/gateway or use bfgminer. Chainminer by default does not offer failover support. On the miner's web page if you set multiple pools it just splits the workload.

Yeah this is what I mean, sucks when a pool goes down. I suppose I could move over to p2pool as well, didn't know the miner worked with it.

Is it just me, or is this latest batch of rigs tuned lower than the previous v3's by default ?

Feel silly for sounding like I'm complaining, but my prior two rigs easily run north of 525GHs, and this latest one seems tuned for a steady 500GHs. Have not taken a multimeter to the latest cards to measure voltage yet. Probably will this weekend.

I just asked Dave that this morning:

"Our older cards ran at a higher chip speed (55,56) and they worked fine.  Newer cards (voltage adjustable) need to run at a lower speed.  I think some customers are getting the wrong speeds, which will cause newer cards to overheat"

Use voltmeter to check board voltage (recommended .8v).
- Grab ground from any GND on the M-board
- Touch the red probe to the top of the Pulse inductor on the board
- You can even turn the screw while its plugged in and powered up

Is there any way to reliably do fail-over with the mining app Bob?
