Hello everyone, I have coins on an offline wallet from a while back (v0.8.7.1-unk-beta) last block is 87692.... are these still recoverable?
Do you have the private keys? I believe I do, Just don't know how to find the info on the harddrive, any Help is appreciated I have to option to Sign/Verify a message with the address the coins are in, would the string of characters for either of those be the private key? or do I have to find a file on the harddrive somewhere that holds the pub and private? The private key is just alphanumberic text. Like you said - string of characters I managed to find my way to the wallet.dat file on the old harddrive, and I downloaded the latest excaliber wallet... all that is left to do now is copy the wallet.dat from the old location and replace the wallet.dat in the new location? Anything else I should do to ensure success in the transfer? That should do it. How many EMC2 do you have? HERE comes the dump! lol I think u mean pump. |

I'd like to dip/anonymize my BTC holdings into Monero and then right back again to fresh BTC addresses into long-term cold storage no one can track from previous BTC addresses on the blockchain. I don't have a lot of experience with Monero and am wondering the best practices in doing this.

Whoa! I was backing up my old desktop and found an old EMC2 wallet. Opened it up and to my surprise I found over 7,500 EMC2 that I mined back in May 2014. Not sure if this means anything (seems cool) but I'm at 1450 on the EMC2 rich list. Guess I'll be following along again. Wish I still had the other 45k EMC2 I mined that week.  Where does one find the "rich list"? then paste in your address. Yeah I did that. Balance not even close to what balance in wallet is. Something's weird with this. |

What do you guys expect for EMC2 for the short term? My guess is that the next bull run on altcoins is just about to start anytime now, and as soon as this happens, EMC2 will surely be one of the winners that will rally. I expect $3-5! What about you?
I mean, what ultimately led to the 270,000% rise in price YTD 2017 (at its peak last week)? Answer me that question and we might be able to discuss a future price. |

Will C-CEX swap the tokens automatically or we need to do something?
Everyone will need to send their ADLs from any exchange back to the Nxt address registered in their Adel account, in order to best facilitate the swap. More info will be announced soon to help in that process. My ADL are in my Nxt wallet. I never "registered" as I bought them off an exchange. How will this work swapping them for ADE and when is this planned to happen? |

Is the fork negative or positive for the price? or is that hard to say.
It's positive. The fork will burn 55 million coins from future existence, meaning the total coins in circulation will go down to around 165 million as opposed to 216 million in circulation today. Therefore, less coins after the fork will (or should) increase the price almost instantly. Impossible to say by how much, so we will see. Right now it'll probably be a bumpy ride for the next weeks. I'd expect a lot of profit taking will happen, causing a few wild swings like the last few days. Thank you for your reply! i will hodl until the moon. In here since 0.14 usd the moon? what is your price target. i'm in from 0.05 cents but sold most on 1$. do u think we can reach 5$ or 10$? fundamentals tell me we cant, but i think in the end it will be worth waiting but my fingers itching to sell every dime XD. let me know what you think and anyone else in this group i would like to hear more opinions. Jeez this is getting confusing. 3 Adel coins...ADL (Nxt chain), ADS (Ador chain) & ADE (Ethereum chain)??! So will ADL holders be able to be exchange ADL 1:1 with ADS and/or ADE via some means other than an exchange?? Me thinks ADL will be abandoned by users in favor of an Ethereum-based Adel token. Really hope you guys get your vision sorted because all this jumping around to different chains and ticker symbols is confusing as all hell. |
