Dear BPGcoin miners:I welcome you to check my Improved Lyra2Z nVidia miner for [Maxwell\Pascal\Volta] GPU's: Update: coolMiner-v1.3 !* Applied the suggested fix by JackIT to "Fix slow start in multi gpu-rigs". * Now it based on latest ccminer by tpruvot@github instead of brian112358@github fork, This should solve the miner crash issue. * Support benchmarking on Yiimp pools via "-p stats" - you are welcome to see and send your own scores :-) https://angrypool.com/benchcoolMiner Specs:- Compiled with Cuda9.2, 64-bit.
- Compiled for nVidia Gpu's with SM_52/SM_61/SM_70 (Maxwell-Pascal-Volta).
- Max-GPU support increased to 20!.
- Stale share bug fixed.
- Lyra2z miner only.
Benchmark resaults:1080Ti - 3,750KH/s @2075Mhz core. 1070TI - 2,400KH/s @1987Mhz core (2,500 KH/s+ should be no problem with better OC). 1070 - 1,950KH/s @2025Mhz core (2,000 KH/s+ should be no problem with better OC). A crazy theory came to my mind, after last months that we saw that Chinese company's have secret Asic for almost all coins that we were mining on GPU's+ the best miners for Asic algos(they only sell older tech), could it be that CHINA is mining over 50% of all the coins and then selling those virtual Coins to rest of the world for REAL money and increasing the Countries INCOME of Euro/USD etc? (foreign currency income) Just a crazy theory that came to my mind last month... :-).

What driver version you are using? my miner should be min 5% better, for comparison 1070 @ 2025Mhz should give you 1950Kh/s, on 1080TI on stock (1987Mhz)I get 3350Khs on ccminer 2.2.5 vs 3550+ on coolMiner. P.S- I think the 1070Ti is the main winner here, 1080 performance level with lower power, I think it's the best GPU for price/performance/multi use(ETH+GPU intensive algos) for Lyra2z.

It was only in first version that was based on brian112358@github fork, I can try adding it later to the current tpruvot@github 2.2.6 fork.

About linux, I am noob in linux but you can ask him, He was able to run my miner on Linux: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4412370.msg39571767#msg39571767The is also link to coolMiner-v1.2L. I tried to compile the v1.3L but now I can't compile anything because it just started throwing error "all-recursive" on line ~2550 on makefile, have no idea why, I changed nothing.

I think the same like current x399, it's compatible with current X399 MB's. But why not going on "Intel's 5Ghz-28 Core"? LOL only 3KW to run it :-).

That the problem, you must update the drivers to use it.
|
|
|
Do you see the error now after adding pause? do you have drivers with cuda 9.2 support?

Hi Guys, i'm getting an error on my mining rig when using coolminer, its "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) ... "
Its a windows 10x64 machine 8 gb ram , core i5 7400 , with 9 gpus , 6 x 1080ti, 3 x 1070ti.
Things i've tried, installing cuda 9.2 , installing latest nvidia drivers 398.11, checked vb.net version is 4.7 , ran as administrator , checked its not blocked in firewall . Tried 1.1, 1.2 , 1.3 version and no luck.
Any ideas ? works great on my desktop and love to get this working on my rig.
I'll send a Gincoin to anyone that can sort this out for me as a thankyou .
Try this: Go here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloadsdownload and install both: x86: vc_redist.x86.exe and x64: vc_redist.x64.exe Ok tried this and no luck , its the same instant error message "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) ... " This is one stubborn problem :-( Yes. searching on Google shows that many had this problem from many reasons, in my opinion if it mining rig without important data, is much faste to have fresh install on win10 then debuging and waistin hours/days to fix this kind of problems, you should decide if this worth the effort. I'm having issues with this miner, I create the bat file and when I click on it the miner window appears and then disappears really fast. Enemy Miner works fine and so does CCminer. What do I need to do to fix this?
Try adding pause at the end of bat file, this will let you see. Can you share the bat file u are using? just hide the -u .

I am not sure, this id why JackIT's test is so interesting, I will wait for the results. P.S, its good you are testing against d=10, this way the last test relevant and it gonna tell us if and how fast this miner would be @ -i 20 and Var-Diff against ccminer @ d=10.

|
Thanks, I am also interested on Var-Diff vs different static diff relative to hashing power, it's seems it can increase/decrease income regardless the miner used, really interesting tests you are doing as a service for the forum- GJ. P.S - in the first test I was very curious why pool was choosing almost double the diff for coolMIner, even though I was thinking it was too high- it came out to be better choice by the pool stratum? P.S - I advice you to choose the lowest intensity that doesn't reduce the hash-rate (+- 50kh\s acceptable), as you have seen the speed penalty is lower then on ccminer, and maybe this way less rejects of job not found/discarded work because new bock, it should be around 18~19. and other rig you can try 20~22 what you like.

|
|
JackIT: what do you think, next round on same intensity 20~19 but without static diff? it looks like the Var-diff gave better results(or 10 diff was too low?).

linux build??
linux version, especially for HiVeOS I have asked for help via PM on his thread, still waiting for answer if he can help. If you can help me and modify the build scripts of https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/tree/linux so the binary will include all the necessary files (libcudart.so.9.2 etc) so every one with cuda 9.2 drivers can use it I will be happy to compile it again. for now I compiled it : autogen.sh configure.sh build.sh And it works on my pc + other forum member with cuda 9.2 toolkit installed also manage to run it. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4412370.msg39576233#msg39576233P.S- If I will include the libcudart.so.9.2 in the zip- would it help?

Yes I know, but they must be less happy to know about it after paying good amount of BTC for their "Privet miner" ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) . It's every hour+ and less then 60 sec. HF ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) .

Thanks for the info, but I am concerned on the miner side, if the GPU is working to find high diff for too long while new blocks are coming in 20~40 seconds then every time it breaks out of hashing loop and gets new job, so you should choose more optimized diff value that doesn't take the GPU too much time to find a share between blocks otherwise you are wasting your GPU time. This is relevant for every miner not just mine. P.S- I think you are already loosing coins for running ccminer 2.2.5 ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) .

NP, thing is that I was playing with the code for months so I remember how it works ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) . Thank you very much for your time, its real fun to watch the competition ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) . Edit: it's interesting, on first run my miner@16 intensity had clear lead on ccminer @ 22 intensity but now it's like ccminer works better at 16 intensity, (unless we have troll here who tries to send shared to same address lol). Moreover- this pool stratum is't very smart and wastes your hashing power, coolMiner is stuck @ diff 18 while ccminer @ 12, this is very bad since I see blocks comes to pool every 30~60 sec and that means that card are stuck in loop for finding too high diff share and every new block it breaks out from loop and you got no share. The lesson from this is not to trust the pool and set the Diff according the hashing power and block per min so you can send shares in time between blocks. Edit: now it set diff = 26 on coolMiner(faster rigs get higher stratum diff ), there is no chance 4 1080Ti will send enoght shares in between new blocks(few seconds).Edit: if you can- next run try testing it on 21 intensity like many miners used on 1080Ti till now, and set static diff on the miners so there will be no Diff changing factor.

cuda_get_arch(thr_id); int intensity = (device_sm[dev_id] > 500 && !is_windows()) ? 17 : 16; if (device_sm[dev_id] <= 500) intensity = 15; throughput = cuda_default_throughput(thr_id, 1U << intensity); // 18=256*256*4; if (init[thr_id]) throughput = min(throughput, max_nonce - first_nonce); It should be 16 on ccminer too, where did you get 22 as default? Also- even so- coolMiner already has a lead on your Balance ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) and this is with 3% speed penalty for running at -i 16 vs ccminer @ 22 :-) -i 16 vs -i 21: ccminer ~8% penalty vs coolMiner ~3% penalty . -i 17 vs -i 21: ccminer ~4% penalty vs coolMiner ~1.5% penalty . Time to grab a Popcorn :-), Let the Race begin!![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.reactiongifs.com%2Fr%2F2011%2F05%2Fscarjo_popcorn.gif&t=663&c=_vk93TP1Pxbbvw)
