Reading candlesticks and charts is regular task in daily trading, besides other necessary skills.
I read a tip somewhere: due to this market is relatively small compared to other financial markets, one critical skill is to recognize and follow the trends created by sharks and whales (the manipulators). Maybe some veteran members here can help to share or explain more.

I understand now the cryptocurrency market is still tiny in comparison with others like stock, gold, forex, etc. and there's always manipulation in certain forms. Sharks and whales are typical and familiar words to us.
We the traders have to accept and adapt to the reality. When crypto market gets big enough, if ever, it will become more stable and therefore much harder to manipulate. But then, I'm afraid that we'll find less opportunity, inspiration, and fun to trade in it. People are usually more eager to follow something new, right?

I think it's possible, theoretically. But, due to so so low probability, we just don't need to worry about the risk, at least for several years to come. It's similar to the situation that there's a person who looks exactly like you on this planet. If it ever happens, you hardly know about the existence of the other, therefore do not have to worry about what if your spouse make mistake: going with your identical person, instead of you. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) . Just kidding!

Was about to say "i have the same questions" then i saw this, is this really possible? to turn in translation non crypto related? And be accepted? If you have a portfolio of translation in any other area than you can show it as an example of your abilities. Crypto translations is not the only one to show )
I remember some saying that you should try to do translations for small time projects or even for free, justo broaded up your portfolio. You guys are right. I also check profiles of several other bounty hunters, and figure out they had many translation articles on bitcoingarden.org. I think that's the way they offered free translation to build a reliable profile. I'll try to follow that way.

I myself started by doing research on some of the top 10 coins or tokens from Coinmarketcap.com. That does not necessarily mean I would buy them. Instead, just picked up some names for initial scratch. Then I tried to use available resources such as Google search, websites, news channel, forums, etc. to find relevant information about them and cryptocurrency as well.
With some basic knowledge, I spent small amount of money to buy potential coins that I studied. It's good way to test the water, I think.
After getting small profit and losing a little later, I got better familiar with cryptocurrency in general and some further real knowledge about those targeted altcoin market, now I am free to repeat the process and go with other altcoins. Of course, I'm willing to learn more, and in bad undesirable scenario, accept to get loss.

Good for you. So, pay if forward and you're likely to be a kind "stranger" to someone else one day. I feel great to hear your story.

No, it's simply impossible now. Maybe several years ago, members could do like that, I'm not sure. According to the current rules, new member need at least 28 days to gain maximum 28 activities (it's exactly my case at this moment ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ). On the 29th day, they can do 2 more to make 30 activities and move up to Junior level.

you are not doing anything incorrect, everyone need to encounter the newbie stage before they can be involved to the community. True, it takes time, but do not lose your passion to invest more into this field ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Thanks for your encouragement. I don't lose my passion at all ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) , and am moving up to the Junior level, hopefully in a couple of days. That is not a big thing, but I think I'm going in the right direction.

Below are also some sources for your reference: And reviewing websites, on which you may find useful information about the bounties you're interested:

I want to participate in bounty tranlation campaigns. The fact is I haven't done any before, my profile of translation is empty. Thus, bounty managers are likely to decline my application.
Can you guys share your experience about the first time you get translation job for bounty? How to persuade the managers that you qualify?

I predict that ETH may overpass BTC to become the top coin for a year or two. Then, cryptomarket will change rapidly with recognition and application by mass. Some other coin with advanced platform will replace traditional ones to become the new king. But, that will happen after at least 3-5 more years. Let's wait and see.

Op, thank you for this information and I think this is an eye opener for some of us that has not open account with idex. From the beginning my fear has been be able to fund my account through my myetherwallet private keys. I read a story here how someone account was wipe out by hackers on etherdelta through this method and since then I only used a centralized exchange for trading.
Yeah, you're quite right. A week ago I thought about opening an account with IDEX, but didn't do yet. Having read this topic, maybe I should give a second thought. Non-technique guys need a user-friendly interface and functions, be the exchange centralized or decentralize platform.

Maybe the crypto market will repeat uptrend cycle and reach it peak again on Spring 2019. If some big names like Bill Gate or Warren Buffett wants to invest, or just indicate that they're willing to, in this young and immature market (to them), market cap may reach 800 billion USD much earlier. We'll wait and see ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) !

Hey, which airport? I am intersted in all types of adoption news but I would very much like to have a link or a source because it is difficult to tell fake from true.
I tried to Google it. Besides some for-and-about-cryptocurrency websites, I found 2 traditional sources that we may trust: According to the articles, the refered airport is Australia’s Brisbane Airport, which (at the time of writing around end of Jan 2018) will accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash and Steem. Do you guys have any update?

I havent tried demo platform before. I think it's fine to start with small amount of money on a real exchange like Binance, in order to feel real breath of the crypto market.

An airdrop is a free opportunity to get tokens by doing tasks for project, like following on social media.
Mining: Some coins like bitcoin and ethereum needs to be mined. This is the way how the coins are created.
Campaign: This is a very wide word, so it is difficult to describe it, but if you mean a bounty campaign then you can take a look at the bounty section on this forum. It is a way to task (sometimes for weeks) and earn some tokens for the tasks.
Trading: buying or selling cryptocurrency on exchanges like Binance, Bittrex, Poloniex, KuCoin, etc. in order to make profit, or to increase your coin stock.

Given low success ratio and high risk of spam of airdrops, I am more inclined towards bounty campaigns, although now I am participarting in both.
Anyway, such airdrops for tokens already listed on Coinmarketcap are very promising, and I usually do not want to overlook.

I heard some veteran traders say market may go down again to 6k5 BTC, then follow bullish trend towards the end of 2018. Despite that trend, there's involvement of big players (dubbed sharks and whales) who try to use big resouse to control market and make maximum profit for themselves.
