devs of TiPS do you think you can turn this coin into a POS coin?
Yep, but why? Some wallets hold everything. Perhaps to resurrect this dying coin. On a different note, I strongly believe that the top 3 wallets belong to either cryptsy or bter hot/cold wallets as well as several other wallets in the 10. |

Hype is driving the marketplace these days. Good, solid coins like TIPS are the innovators and the copy, clone, scam coins reap the benefits through hype. Not fair.
Change tips to 2%inflation POS and you will see your rocket  ... Here is the exchange rate of Reddcoin during the past month, May 11th being the day when they lauched the POS-Velocity algo. As you may have noticed, POS is more a hype feature than a real guarantee for the coin stability. More, it discourage newcomers to jump aboard, because thay can't mine anymore. But that's just my opinion. The debate remains open  On the contrary, this is what happened to pandacoin (PND) when they made announcement on May 6th about POS implementation commencing on May 21st.... As you said starting on May 21st. Which means: 1) the highest prize bump is not even due to the POS algo 2) plenty of time for PND to go down. It took RDD 3 weeks but here they are. Actually, Reddcoin is still in POW phase as they plan to start POSV only by late summer or early fall 2014. Yes, I was also in this coin 2 months ago but I left, sold to buy some others ALTs with real ambitions.
The problem is that the main dev left and the new one doesn't want to open his eyes and see fedoracoin cannot work without some big changes.
There is only sell, no one is buying and the price keeps falling, there is less and less activity in this thread, and most of the post are people complaining, volume in the last 24H : 363$ ?!! come on WTF, TOO FUCKING MUCH BILLIONS, yes it worked for DOGEcoin, but no you are not DOGEcoin with their big community and innovative ideas
We don't have any good reasons to hold this coin...
So come back to reality and do something useful.
Or don't do anything and become the cheapest coin ever with all those useless billions, with a price we can't even write in $, less than 100$ volume per day and a ridiculous marketcap.
PS: I'm just here giving advices, and seriously I'm glad I left this shit when I see what it is now.
Totally agreed. The current main developer does not give a shit about falling price. This is the excuse he made in reddit when people complained about current freefall.. "FedoraCoin was designed to be a coin with as little value as possible. If people value it higher per piece than that, that's fine with me, but I won't take responsibility for it working like it was designed." |

I think that we need a trading fund to pump the price and to keep it at a certain value. Miners/investors will come when the coin will be more profitable.

Coin could be huge. Potential alone doesn't mean much. This thread is full of hyperbole. A marketing person needs to be hired immediately.
Agree. I think Tips has fallen behind other newer coins due to lack of (or perhaps not exist at all) marketing. Darkcoin is ahead of Tips for anonymous feature eventhough we are the first one introducing the feature. For tipping service,I think Reddcoin is currently no 2 behind dogecoin and ahead of us. Look at its subreddit which currently has more than 3000 subscribers eventhough it is just less than 2 months old. The community manager who is suppose to 'connect' this community to the dev team only just introduce himself in the forum and then 'disappear'. |
