61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People hate Bitcoins? on: July 23, 2016, 01:59:23 AM
I have never found the hate against bitcoin. but I do not think anyone bernci against bitcoin remains of about bitcoin. Perhaps if there were hated because it had previously been deceived by a scammer sites.

That or maybe it's lack of knowledge of it that makes people not want it around, just have to expose people to it long enough in my opinion.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin need a killer App like Pokémon GO on: July 22, 2016, 08:27:21 PM
This is actually possible to do, this concept is just like a faucet but the difference is this requires more effort because we have to walk to some places to earn the Bitcoin. But we need a company or people who have much Bitcoin to invest on this, because the reward must be quite a lot so that people who never know Bitcoin would be interested with it. It can't just give 1000 satoshi as the reward, no one will be interested except the Bitcoin user themselves.

Pokemon has been around for 20 years and was in many peoples' childhoods, that's why Pokemon go is so big. Even if Bitcoin were to make a game similar, it wouldn't be nearly as popular to the general public. That's not the goal of the thread I can tell though, a game to make earning smaller coins easier for starts sound great and if all goes well it will bring more users in too. Great idea, hopefully no one is expecting it to be as popular because I highly doubt it could.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pokemon GO and Bitcoin would be a killer combo on: July 22, 2016, 08:10:51 PM
really great idea and would a massive pr boost for bitcoin itself

It's a great idea but it is really just dependent on Nintendo and they've proven they're rather.. Slow to change. But once they pick up on it they run!

Totally only gonna take a little water, that bowl is made so perfectly!
Reading the news is just playing 100 lies and 1 truth on a good article.
65  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you wish you could buy with btc ? on: July 22, 2016, 04:41:29 AM
I wish I could walk out to my favorite shop of random small things and pay by btc. I would have enough fiat to survive so there's no need for BTC there. If I want to take advantage of the conversion then I would just wait for it to be in my favor instead of just spending it on day to day things I can't get out of.

I tried to all in on my 30k to get to 60k but even that wasn't going to put me on the leader boards but I flopped and now I'm back to 0  Cry
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So, why do we need to use Bitcoin? on: July 21, 2016, 08:40:55 PM
You don't really need to use bitcoin. People are choosing to use bitcoin because it offers certain advantages, such as:

1. Sending and receiving money anywhere in the world at any given time.
2. Anonymous payments.
3. Low fees.
4. Tax advantages.

All above mentioned plus Bitcoin is a good investment. Even if you are not spending it having all the advantages your money are growing when you are doing nothing.
And oh! Your forgot you have freedom from the government. Using bitcoins right now, I feel free because the government doesn't have any power on it just yet. Yet.

Because I'm somehow getting the feeling that they are planning to try to get their hands on bitcoins.

Once the government can figure out what bitcoin is, I'm sure they'll place rather high taxes on BTC sales. They can't have people shifting their money to BTC to spend rather than using the fiat they tax.
68  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: July 21, 2016, 08:38:37 PM
At the current price , i would not buy since price is $680+ and i cant afford it even if i have my own stable day job. My salary is just exact for my everyday needs. Ill rather do signature campaign to gain btc and would not mind to buy since i have no money to invest to it. Others  may buy more btc as of now since theyll believe that price in the future would rise , which i also believe.

does being on a signature campaign make that much bitcoin? I believe bitcoin will rise too and I want to buy some too but I don't have the fund right now.
69  Other / Off-topic / Re: PokemonGo and the bitcoin on: July 21, 2016, 08:32:02 PM
Currently, you cannot purchase Pokemon Go with BTC. However, this is a new game and there are many things to upgrade in near future. Hopefully, they will integrate BTC payments mode too! Smiley

We should send feedback/suggestion to Niantec and Pokemon to bring BTC payment feature in next update..Smiley

If they receive a lot of request, they will definitely add BTC!

If they were to allow BTC payments then overtime other app developers should too, it would be great if pokemon go were the start to change.
70  Other / Off-topic / Re: How kids can "earn" Bitcoin ? on: July 21, 2016, 06:16:22 PM
My kid wants to make some money.

I never cared much of those easy systems but seems it would work for him.

I gave him 2 faucets but i ALSO remember there was servers/games where one could make Bitcoin [or altcoin] just for playing.

Would you remind ?

well i think signature campaigns will be too hard for them, so they can do these easy faucets, or these games that you remember, that could work too i think
Right. They will be bored in posting posts. Games will be an interesting act for the kids. Lets encourage them in playing the game so. Save the money earned by games and gift them with btc.

I just saw in service section and altcoin marketplace section that peoples are paying peoples btc for playing a game called Pokemon Go with them. and catch Pokemon for them.
Kids are love to play these type of 3D games nowadays and if they can earn some money also by just playing games and entertaining then there is nothing better then this.

Playing Pokemon go with someone as a job does sound amazing but it also sounds a little suspicious but I'm sure after meeting the people and trading contacts it would be a little less scary. The idea of comments would work if the kid is educated enough to piece together the economics of BTC but since the kid wants to do something for money they'll make something work. Games and commenting means the parent can still keep track of what they're doing but if you try to shut the kid down they might turn to other methods.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is stealing Bitcoin illegal? on: July 21, 2016, 02:27:05 PM
Let's say I generate a new address and by some miracle it has Bitcoin already in it belonging to somebody else. Is it legal to just take it? I understand those odds are very low, no need to lecture me, I'm just interested.

The chance that going to happen is near to 0%. That's more likely impossible to happen.
But let's say it's happened somehow, still it's wrong if you take it because it's not yours, it's belong to someone else.

Everyone seems to be saying that doing that would be morally wrong and I agree because finding Bitcoin like that isn't like getting a dollar off the ground, it would be more like finding a wallet somewhere with some money and a drivers license in there. It's just up to the person to decide whether it's right or not, someone is definitely missing that wallet but you don't actually know them so you make the decision of whether you find spending that money right or not.
72  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why need to use a Mixer? on: July 21, 2016, 02:06:26 PM
But should we say that BTC without mixer aren't anonymous?

no.
bitcoin anonymity has nothing to do with mixers.
you can be totally anonymous as long as the bitcoins in your address is not linked to you personally.

for example you can buy bitcoin with cash and receive it in your bitcoin address, that way nobody can know this address is for "you"

But you could trace BTC at everytime on blockchain and it's really difficult to buy large amount of BTC per cash in a lot of country

you can trace the bitcoin, but you wont know who owns that wallet. in the end, it still have some anonymity.

Once you find the wallet of the Bitcoin though it's just an issue of lack of information and stalking could eventually provide that. Everyone feels paranoia, for some paying the mixing fee is necessary to keep their lives private so that's what they do. At least that's why I can see people mixing their coins.
73  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Australia Says Bitcoin is Money – Japan says Bitcoin can’t be owned on: July 20, 2016, 04:29:51 AM
I love how Bitcoin dosen't care what regulators say..... Bitcoin marches on anyway........ Grin

When Bitcoin goes mainstream they'll come round .... hahahaha
If you think it will be easy for bitcoin in the future to retain current unrestricted status quo. Bitcoin is rather insignificant side currency exchange market now in the best case.
In the future - if we grow bigger - situation might change as I don't believe that government will let bitcoin be unregulated the way it is now.

If bitcoin gets bigger then every government is going to want to tax it. Governments live off of tax and when they decide that BTC is worth the trouble of passing regulations for, that's exactly what they'll do.

75  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you accept bitcoin as your salary? on: July 20, 2016, 03:51:08 AM
Right now, I won't accept. Because there is no one in my place accepts bitcoin so I will have to exchange it to fiat before buying anything. If in the future bitcoin spreads and more people use it . I may think about getting the salary in BTC

Once BTC can be used for day-to-day things, I totally agree that being paid in BTC would be amazing. If people were to be paid in BTC now they would have to learn very quickly how to both watch the price of BTC and saving what they converted. The value of BTC rises and falls but its not good to be stuck with bad exchange rates.
76  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Who owns Bitcoin? on: July 20, 2016, 03:46:15 AM
From a perspective of someone living in the U.S. The bitcoins or fraction of bitcoin you own are yours.  You can do whatever you want with it as long as what you're buying/selling is not illegal.

It is the same as U.S. fiat: you can take a dollar and light it on fire, and it is legal (as long as you don't cause a forest fire).

So far, in the U.S., it is mostly legal to buy and invest (check with state laws first).  When it comes to selling, however, it becomes a gray area in a couple of ways:

1)  How is it taxed? I believe any profit is taxed as capital gains.  But what if you trade bitcoins for a living?  Do you have to then pay income tax?

2)  What kind of licensing do you need?  MSB, MTL?  None?  Based on my own forum reading on trading sites, it seems as though there is no clear answer.  Traders are currently on the bleeding edge of owning to selling, then back to owning and back to selling, and on and on.

I think pending and future litigation will determine who owns bitcoin, and after you've owned and either spent or resold, what kind of taxes can be levied on it.

Whoa I wouldn't have even thought of those scenarios, simplest answer is that since there's no regulation then nothing is held over you. There are cons to having no regulation though, if you need something to do with credit then you can't up and say "I'm a BTC seller" because companies just want info and history to know you'll pay them back. I think that by the time there is enough regulation for America to tax BTC that those that are taking advantage of scenario 1 will find another way though. There are always loopholes.
77  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: July 16, 2016, 04:48:25 AM
We have to believe in fiat because bitcoin does not know what it's future will hold for anyone.
It is just to unstable from one end of the lower margins to the other. Tomorrow you don't know if it will be down a hundred dollars worth or not. With fiat you know it will not sink that low so fast.

Well if the inflation is fast then you notice it but if fiat is falling you don't really see it until you're stuck scrambling around for enough to survive. People only really see the gains and falls of BTC because they don't use it, directly anyways, to pay the house bills or for food. When we get to a point where that's possible people will start to re-evaluate whether fiat is good or not.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If no one spends bitcoin what might happen? on: July 16, 2016, 04:40:54 AM
Share your ideas here.   Grin

In my opinion, I think we will be stuck in one price or maybe worse we will all go down.

Here is what happened when US citizens are saving too much.

Quote
That's important because American spenders make up the majority -- about 70% -- of economic activity in the country. If people don't spend, the economy doesn't grow.

Check it out here

The price will go down because people will lose interest in bitcoin if it happens. That is why though it is good to hold bitcoin, it is still hurting its economy if no bitcoin is used for purchase. It is good if there is more merchandisers that will adopt bitcoin so that more will be encourage to use and spend bitcoins.
It is a finite currency and I think it will still hold value if no one uses it. It would be a store of value, just like gold. If the reason that people are not using bitcoin is because they are holding it, then I think that will drive the price up because many would want to get a hold of something that continuously increase in value.

BTC is only worth what people think its worth though, its not physical like gold but its anonymous unlike fiat, if people stop spending then the value is bound to fall. However since there are so many people interested in BTC, when it falls people are likely to buy in thinking that this may be their last shot to which will bring the price up and most likely relight the spending/buying cycle.
79  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: July 16, 2016, 04:24:17 AM
i heard it a year ago but never had interest in it, until now i guess

I heard about it through an acquaintance but I never really understood it so I stayed out of BTC, regret has been hitting pretty hard.  Sad
80  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: July 16, 2016, 04:14:36 AM
Gun control can't be put in place in USA in my opinion.

But the important fact is that there is no reason to see gun control imposed to a population who doesn't want it or removed in a country where it is needed.
Just let USA with their guns if they want it :3

I think gun control must be implemented not only in the USA and the other country as well. There are lots of crimes occuring because of the gun. Private people shouldn't have guns as they didn't need that. Only the police, and other government officials are the one who need guns for protection. Well for me I don't need to have a gun and I don't want to have a gun anyways. Im contented to what I have now and besides, I dont need it anyway.
Why not do you say? What USA got to do with no gun control,it is a country same like each other countries on the world,so you mean that
no country in the world should even ban anything with guns? Gun control is needed, but only in some part for example, you cannot get automatic weapon,it is just stupid if you can.

Every country needs to step up their regulations, it doesn't have to be sanity tests yearly but those with criminal records definitely should have a few more barriers before access to a firearm. Everyone who owns a gun should have to have their criminal records rechecked yearly to know if they need to fill out the extra paperwork for having a firearm with a criminal record.
As much as I would like guns to be removed completely, I know this will never happen. At the minimum though there needs to be more laws around owning a firearm.
