I just fired up my wallet after a couple of months and it hasn't taken long to be up to date. Seems okay to me.

forexhercules, maybe this still works from last year At last an updated already re-indexed POS blockchain bootstrap.
To sync in a few minutes.
Back up your wallet before using this bootstrap!!!!! Please Note
Back up wallet.dat file, the most important thing to do, so you don't lose your coins (if you don't know how to do it, ask for assistance first) or follow instructions below
Your wallet.dat file containing your balance and transaction history is located within your Quarkcoin folder. C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Quarkcoin
1. Copy the wallet.dat file directly from the Quarkcoin folder (C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Quarkcoin) and save it safely on your pc where you can easily locate it, if needed.
2. Rename the above mentioned "Quarkcoin" folder to Quarkcoinoldbackup.
3. Download the latest build of quark wallet and save to hard drive. https://github.com/quark-project/quark/releases/tag/v0.10.6.3
4. Install the latest build of Quark. Close down the wallet immediately after completion of installation if you left the run automatically after installation checked.
5. Open the newly created Quarkcoin folder, (not the Quarkcoinoldbackup) C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Quarkcoin and delete all the files within it. Do not overwrite existing files just to ensure no conflicts. leave the Quarkcoin folder open for the next step.
6. Copy and paste your wallet.dat file from your Quarkcoinoldbackup folder into your now empty Quarkcoin folder.
7. Download bootstrap zip file and save to your hard drive. https://mega.nz/#!YPRFzRob!iS20lMoV0aNM_byOuF9I1yGs6rYLovWxq1pessN_AuM]https://mega.nz/#!YPRFzRob!iS20lMoV0aNM_byOuF9I1yGs6rYLovWxq1pessN_AuM]https://mega.nz/#!YPRFzRob!iS20lMoV0aNM_byOuF9I1yGs6rYLovWxq1pessN_AuM
8. Unzip bootstrap and extract the 2 folders into the Quarkcoin folder you just pasted your wallet.dat file into. If having trouble to unzip install winRAR. https://www.win-rar.com/postdownload.html?&L=0
9. Open wallet and sync in a few minutes.
To Stake: 1. Open Quark wallet latest build v0.10.6.3 2. select help - debug window 3. select console tab 4. enter into console text field: walletpassphrase mywalletpassphrase 100000 ^ ^ ^ (command) (your passphrase) (number of seconds for unlock)
5. press ctrl L to clear your console. 6. close debug window and watch your coins get minted if they are 30 days old or greater.
Happy staking!!!!
Item 4. is the unlocking procedure to stake and mint your coins. This is only required if your wallet is encrypted.
Video tutorial I just found to help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIe2tqaLxfQ

Yes development is going on right now on the masternodes.
We have other plans in the pipeline, some very exciting.
Patience just a little longer, it'll all be worth it in the long run.
Good to hear, but:
1 Will masternodes be combined with POS/POS.3, or will you retain POW?
2 Do you have a roadmap?
3 Do you plan to create a Linux wallet?
1. The final version is POW+POS+MN 2. There are plans, things will become clear after MNs 3. As for the Linux version, if people need it then it'll be made

It seems this new one is an ERC-20 compatible token distributed on the Ethereum blockchain. But they've pinched the name, as did Qwark, more or less. Quark is the third most copied cryptocurrency and is the original.

Looks like it is over guys
It's a shame that they put a lot of work into the hybrid wallet and now progress looks dead again. The new website, roadmap and Masternodes are still being worked on behind the scenes.

Are there any updates?
Was QRK ever submitted to Kucoin when the exchange was less popular than it is now?
A request was made to Kucoin a few weeks ago and we're still waiting for a reply.

It will help Quark's chances of getting listed on the Coinspot exchange if people visit the Coinspot Facebook page and request Quark on their Facbook wall. https://www.facebook.com/coinspotauMany thanks everyone.

I think they should add more people to their team, maybe a more moderator in their forum, or more bounties and events to make things more lively and active. It would be cool if they've become more active to people. To be honest, Quark is not getting much attention so I think something needs to change.
Plan is for masternodes with budgeting in order to supply development funding - this can include things like bounties. Quark was not premined at all so there is simply not a fund for this sort of thing currently, and historically these sorts of things were run from donations which is hard to keep going indefinitely as it constantly relies on people's generosity and typically its always the same people donating.. Anyone who wants to get involved and help can do so - the easiest place to do this from is the Slack, where people are working on a new website, etc. Can we get a slack invite? There's one here. http://www.qrknet.info/

Finally I synced my wallet . When I type setgenerate true my PC starts using 100% CPU and 98% memory. It's making loud noises. Would it be bad for my PC if I stake like this for many hours? Yes! you will kill your computer. If it has more than 1 processor, most do, Use: setgenerate true 1 Should reduce your CPU load. If staking is your only requirement, Use: setgenerate false Staking will still occur. So if I type into the console. setgenerate false walletpassphrase mywalletpassphrase 100000 the wallet will still stake? So what's the difference between setgenerate true and false if they both allow staking? setgenerate true is for POW mining setgenerate false turns the POW mining off POS only requires unlocking wallet ie walletpassphrase mywalletpassphrase 100000 to stake via POS You can stake your balance via POS and mine POW solo at the same time by setting setgenerate true 1 and unlocking wallet for staking POS Quark is a very very nice Hybrid blockchain and will become recognized in due time. Thanks very much. So by default then the wallet is not set to mine.

Hello everyone, it has been a little while since I've been around and I must say that things are looking really good around here! very impressive. I do however find myself a little overwhelmed with the new wallet, as I've never used a pos coin before. Could someone please simplify for me how to ensure that I am staking my coins correctly? I would really appreciate it! Thanks, Rusty Start reading from page 20, should be pretty clear.
