61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience is a virtue but how much patience do you have? on: August 11, 2018, 08:56:02 PM
I think patience is linked to the amount of money you have invested and the risk associated with it, for example, I only invest what I have left over after I pay bills, food, some entertainment out and my 401k, so I don't worry too much that the market is in red now and I don't panic, that means more opportunities to invest, what always makes me curious are the people who sell now in such a low market, what are they thinking?
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Rate the Potential of Cyptocurrency? on: August 10, 2018, 11:06:47 PM
I believe that the main way to rate a new crypto or an ICO is to see how useful it is in the real world, if the token or coin that they will launch out has any use either in some web page they are designing or is used as a fee for some contracts, you can also look at the community feeling and what they think of the currency, that will give you a good indication of their current state.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future? on: August 09, 2018, 07:03:34 PM
I believe that many currencies can survive at the bottom of the marketcap at a fairly stable price, but probably have no utility at the end, I believe that a few coins like EOS, ETH, NEO, RIPPLE will survive, I think that's because they are usually currencies that have some real-life use and work or will work as a platform.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are airdrops really worth it? on: August 08, 2018, 07:49:39 PM
you know that you can deactivate the notifications no? nothing is free in life, and even less money, if you want a  reward that is worthwhile you can dedicate yourself to trading with some investment and try to make money there, especially these days I think they are especially beneficial because we see falls of 20 to 30% and if you know the market you can make that amount in pure profit.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now the Crypto Ready to Fly on: August 08, 2018, 05:56:56 PM
I think this is very good for the market, although I don't want to get my hopes up because the cryptos are too volatile, we can say that there is a rise in the alts and that means a rise in the general market, I hope it continues like this, although I don't mind the lows, because that means more purchases at a good price, and so I can vary my portfolio.  Tongue
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins still dropping in price on: August 07, 2018, 09:01:23 PM
For coins like electroneum it is hard to know why they are going down, it may be that there is a volume dump happening that you have not noticed, maybe they failed in something they promised and people are losing confidence, or it is possible that it has nothing to do with BTC and the market is simply doing a self-correction, remember that not all currencies are linked to BTC or ETH, some simply follow their own rules.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2000 Ripple or 5000 Сardano? on: August 07, 2018, 05:48:30 PM
Heyy It's me, your friend, haha jokes aside, you can give it half and half, so it will diversify a little, ask your friend what he likes more, if he is a programmer or he is interested in technologies, maybe he likes cardano philosophy more, but if he is more compulsive buyer and buys almost all his products online, he will be more interested in ripple.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $12000 to invest in long term. Which coin? :D on: August 06, 2018, 05:48:59 PM
I think that if you have a portfolio quite varied with at least the top 20 coinmarketcap currencies is practically impossible to lose money, the only way to lose all your investment is if all currencies reached 0 value and for that to happen, the blockchain boom has to end and we will close up the forum and head home,:P, because nothing would make sense, I do not think you would become ultra rich, but I think you can generate a higher return than the stock market.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 60 bounty in 2 hours/day? on: August 05, 2018, 07:54:11 PM
Thanks for the resources, bookmarked some of them, I'm not so new but there were some webpages I didn't know and I would love to have a look at them later, bountyhive I've used it and I've had some success, likewise with b0untyx, I also like sites like ICObench and ICOreview to check a little bit the bounties/ICOs before participating in them, they give me some useful data that I use to decide whether or not to participate
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: August 04, 2018, 04:35:35 AM
eth is a really good coin to have in your portfolio at the moment. but would recommend researching what you are going to invest in and not peoples advice on a forum, because people here are investors too and can be very biased. just for an example, I have no btc cause I think it is going to crash and it has gained over 10,000 dollars from the time i made that decision. and now i know that if btc does crash all other alts drop also.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: life of a trader on: August 04, 2018, 02:28:10 AM
I think that if you want to be part of the 10% of traders who are making money, being stuck looking at the phone is one of the necessary requirements that you will have to meet, remember that trading is very complicated and competitive, and if you are not ready to get up in the morning because one of your alerts was triggered, by some pump and dump, I do not think you are ready to trade professionally, better hold is more relaxed and will give you good profits anyways.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your experience in trading? on: August 03, 2018, 04:39:16 AM
Don't do it. Even if you really know your stuff, you're probably not going to make money on it. Sure you can buy software to do it, but the algorithms they use only really randomly make money. You can build your own, but once again, the algorithms won't really make that much. I speak from experience.

The best strategy is to buy and hold.

but if you're really into trading, the best advice I can give you is, only trade if you are mentally ok to sell at the price you're getting. If you're not you'll panic buy back fewer coins than you started with at a higher price. Only sell if you're ok not buying back of it goes higher. Of course, do buyback of it goes lower as you then successfully day traded.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I hold verge? on: August 02, 2018, 05:47:07 PM
Bought at 0.004 sold at 21c aud. Amazing profit and moved onto other coins.

I think verge will grow but it's simply to unprofessional at the moment. Deny all you like but the whole coin is handled horrendously. If it was run well we would be at 50c/$1 already IMO

I understand they are doing something right to reach 42c aud peak but it could be so much better.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is ETH also a bubble like bitcoin? on: August 01, 2018, 04:31:28 AM
Some people say that after this correction that we're suffering there's no money left in the world to be put in crypto markets. But they're wrong, and if they get rid of their holdings they're going to miss out the biggest increase in price ever seen in crypto, and we would have to see suicide posts again but not because of a crash, but because of people who missed out and threw away the chance of their life. There's another stage ahead and we're heading to it. The next stage is where institutional money jump on board and renowned investors, as well as innovative banks, will lead the way.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 46% of last year's ICOs have failed already on: July 31, 2018, 04:47:06 AM
The vast majority of all startups fail. This is not mutually exclusive to a company that holds an ICO.

Fact is a company that holds an ICO is still a company or at least attempting to be one. Just because they hold an ICO doesn't mean they'll automatically succeed and just because they hold an ICO doesn't mean they'll necessarily fail.

Further, these failure rates do not indicate a scam, they just indicate a business that may have seemed sound, or perfect, but inevitably failed.

This has been true in business for as long as people have been starting businesses.

This is why the team matters more than anything for a longer term hold. Finding the right team and ensuring they have applicable industry experience as well as the necessary business experience is vital to the success of a company, and your investment.

Even with that said, even a perfect team simply may miss the mark and fail. It happens. A lot. The vast majority of businesses from the dotcom days failed before the ball dropped. Over 95%.

This is nothing new.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: except for bitcoin, what is your prefer? on: July 30, 2018, 04:40:37 AM
ARK: smart contracts / smart bridges/push button blockchain / best DPoS (accumulate more Ark for free) / amazing wallet / super fast transactions / great dev team / organic growth due to dev team not releasing deadline dates Mobile wallet is at 100% completion according to the roadmap

Oh, and awesome community!
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next 100x-1000x coin? on: July 30, 2018, 02:26:53 AM
RDN aims to bring the biggest benefits of DAGs to the blockchain: scalability, fast and cheap microtransactions. It's built on top of the blockchain (ETH) though, so I think it's more of a band-aid solution. I think it will perform well, but that eventually, DAGs (or an even better tech) will make it obsolete in the not-so-near future (3-5 years, give or take). This one is new though, so I haven't bought in yet myself.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why a lot of projects launching exchanges? on: July 29, 2018, 05:30:43 AM
I believe that investors have seen one more place to exploit, since ICOs are not proving to be so profitable, the exchange instead generates huge amounts of profit just by offering that service and the more currencies the host, have good volume, the higher your profit will be in the form of fees, some exchange also launches its own currency that almost doubles its reward and utility.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know which coins are good? on: July 28, 2018, 05:03:14 AM
There are many undervalued assets that have a good foundation with strong relationships and partners. Keep in mind 90-95% of crypto assets WILL fail and never succeed. The only way you can be reliably right long-term is through research. Know what you are getting into. Look for assets that have a strong foundation, favorable odds of execution, good partners, and strong relationships/clients.

Don't be fooled by market prices! Just because a price on a particular asset is going up, doesn't mean it will be successful. When the next bubble comes, (and it will) assets could drop below your purchase price and/or never recover. The only way you can ensure long-term reliability is through research and selectivity.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are investors got tired of ICOs? on: July 28, 2018, 02:33:17 AM
Crypto-rush 2.0. "Back in the day" you could spin up a coin and have it trading the next day. With Ethereum it's easier to make your own token and then its just a matter of marketing material.

Not to say there aren't some decent ICO's out there, but the vast majority are akin to the old shitcoins from long ago IMO.
