Commerce! Hoarding needs to end. Until it is used as a currency it will remain a commodity.

i deposited $40 and cashed out more than $300.roulette & blackjack

I could get down with blackjack. Which site do you suggest?

So a person with 2 posts said he won and you ask him where to play Huh  Then he gives you his referral link which is the only way to make money with a casino.

It is possible to win in the short term, that is why people come and come back.  In the long run the casino can't lose.  It is a mathematical fact.

If you bet that a coin would come up heads more than tails after 10 tosses sometimes you would win and sometimes you would lose but overall you would break even.

For blackjack if you play perfect strategy with standard rules the house has a 0.5% advantage.  That is the BEST you can do.  As people deviate from perfect strategy because they don't know it or they have a "feeling" the casino makes more than that.

If you really want to give your money away may I suggest you give it to me.  I just had the worst week of my life.  There is an old expression "up the creek without a paddle".  Well I have the paddle but no boat.

I enjoy blackjack. I know how to evaluate a casino and online presence in general. It's okay. Appreciate the concern, though.

I'll give you 10 DOGE.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verticoin on Cryptsy? on: February 06, 2014, 07:21:24 AM
deposit not showing. i think cryptsy took deposit down to sell own coins and my deposit will show up (180 confirms now) when price is lower again. Or am i the only one who can't deposit?

i think they did: hold up deposit first 30mins or so, before that selling 20 minutes own coins only. then letting everybody in who deposited aleady, then shutting down deposit again to ride the wave out themselves.

not happy to have my gains taken by them. why would they add a coin when wallet is not working from first hour? this is an intended deposit-bug on vtc today i think.

price is nearly 40% higher on cryptsy like on coinedup. they make buyers buy higher and sellers miss out. so only cryptsy wins.

This. I was planning to sell 20% of my VTC when it hits cryptsy and they lose my deposit in a limbo with no explanation for 12+ hours, so I missed the 0.012+ window, when the prize plummets then my deposit shows up. Downright shady and criminal. Well, did lose only ~$500 profit but that's no small amount in the real world and people are getting sued for less.

I found myself in the exact situation. I'm sure the price jump was what caused so many incoming transfers.

However, don't worry. I have full confidence in VTC. The current price is STILL recovering from Cryptsy's fuck up. It has so much going for it, I think we'll see $15-22 by the end of the month. Especially if it can get on a big exchange!

hahahahaaa are you willing to bet money on that prediction?

it's not happening, what you saw it do is likely to be the biggest swing for it outside of a massive downward swing.  Expect all subsequent swings to be moderate outside of major news. specific to the coin.

Just an optimistic investor. I'm literally putting my money where my mouth is. Do what you will with your coins, I'll do what I will with mine.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any BTC or altcoin based video games? NOT GAMBLING! on: February 06, 2014, 02:52:11 AM
You can try goldentowns, you have the chance to earn REAL gold.

That actually looks pretty interesting. Seems as though you can actually withdraw....interesting. Does anyone have experience with this game?

Thanks for the tip!
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulation - don't let them get away with the hypocrisy on: February 06, 2014, 02:27:16 AM

Come again? The question is whether businesses, which can be mom and pop ordinary people, need to ask permission to barter/privately exchange a non-government commodity.

That's all that needs to be said. It'll be a long, hard fight - but they'll lose it. No way they can prevent, regulate or tax BTC transactions. They can't even operate a healthcare website properly (I know, it's played out, but true). At most, they can rally against the exchanges, but even that is a losing battle.

This is why people who scoff cryptos are straight up dumb. BTC and others are able to completely subvert an incredibly biased and manipulated financial system. We're taking the power right out from under them the more we use BTC. It's glorious.

The world is already watching. Everyone with an open mind is interested.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Are there any BTC or altcoin based video games? NOT GAMBLING! on: February 06, 2014, 02:20:05 AM
I want to play an entertaining game that somehow pays me in a cryptocoin. Like Diablo II that uses DOGE or satoshis instead of gold.

I found this one, but it's gambling based and doesn't seem enjoyable: http://dragons.tl/index.php

RPG, strategy or something I can sort of play while I do other more productive things. Anything out there? If not, why?! I feel like extra processing power could be used from the gamer to tap into a mining pool or something, but I really don't know what I'm talking about.

I'm just a guy asking a crowd of anonymous people if he can finally get paid, even tiny amounts, to play video games.

Don't sweat it guys. Price is going up, difficulty is climbing like hell. 108 atm, ATH.
Don't get me wrong, Crypsty has no excuse, it's terrible I'm not defending them. But there's no reason to lose the patience especially when things are looking good.
I don't think it's a scam, the guys added the coin the same day and I guess they rushed it.
I'm sure the coins will eventually show up and you will be better holding them then too. You would have definitely regretted panic selling on the way down to 080s and you will probably regret if you sell at current price with the coin flourishing and a weak orderbook.
Cheer up, VTC is #11 on coinmarketcap, it's getting loads of attention to miners, investors and traders. You'll see.
My 2 cents.

ps: I'm stuck in the cryptsyloop too Tongue.

I like that way of looking at it! VTC is definitely doing great, this is just a mild setback. Hell, it generated buzz. VTC shut down an exchange.

Also, my deposit cleared, but my withdrawal is not going through. I guess I'm not the only one trying to get their coins out.

11 hours, 350 confirmations and waiting. Fuck you Big Fat Fucking Vern.

This is getting out of hand.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VTC Supporters! Let's flood BTC-E to add VTC/BTC! on: February 05, 2014, 11:36:17 AM
If you flood BTC-e with support tickets for this then you are being irresponsible and stopping support for people with genuine request that need help.

If it gets to the level BTC-e wants to put it on then they will put it on.

That's actually a good point. I'll take it down.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VTC Supporters! Let's flood BTC-E to add VTC/BTC! on: February 05, 2014, 11:30:57 AM
No.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VTC Supporters! Let's flood BTC-E to add VTC/BTC! on: February 05, 2014, 11:24:59 AM
Is there a way to put vtc on bter.com? I love vertcoins and i love bter to trade :-)

Ask them! I think the most we can do is make posts like this and let our desire be known. If enough people ask for it, and the coin/market looks good (as it does for VTC), they might make it happen. Way less red tape in crypto markets!

Too excited about VTC.

76  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BEWARE OF CRYPTSY MANIPULATING NEW COINS- VERTCOIN SCREWJOB!! on: February 05, 2014, 09:34:40 AM
Thanks for the heads up. I deposited VTC on Cryptsy to sell about 3 hours ago and nothing has gone through. Transaction has 90 confirms.

I'm hoping this is an explainable technical glitch. I'm also hoping that another, better exchange takes on VTC soon.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verticoin on Cryptsy? on: February 05, 2014, 07:19:15 AM
Time to cash-out on that deal, it went up 200+%, not much up left before lots of down.

enjoy

Lol you dont now nothing about the vertcoin! Its not a pump and dumb coin... Its the next bitcoin!

I think it has a solid shot at the next LTC! BTC...damn, that'd be great!
78  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2000$ to invest, right now? on: February 05, 2014, 03:37:04 AM
VTC.

Look at a 24 hour graph on CoinedUp (it'll load in three hours). It'll dip soon on Cryptsy, but I'm guessing a bigger peak after that. I bought last night and tripled my BTC value. Not selling yet, I think VTC is bound for greatness.

I'd go $750 in BTC, $250 in LTC, $1,000 in VTC. Depends how risky you want to play it, though.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verticoin on Cryptsy? on: February 05, 2014, 02:44:30 AM
It's got a lot going on for it. I think we can expect more growth.
