61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It could take 2 years for the market to recover on: August 21, 2018, 08:50:04 AM
I wish I was joking but this market will take at least 2 years to recover and build momentum again.
Market fundamentals have changed!
nobody knows how long the recovery will take. The fact is that many small investors are losing confidence at the moment. but if it comes again to a bullrun, many are there again.
62  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: possibility of sorting the topics from very hot to normal??? on: August 20, 2018, 08:19:07 AM
Hey guys,

i hope it's the right Forum for this question and the question has not been asked. If yes, I will delete the post!
i was reading through the helps, but i'm not finding a function to sort the topics from very high to normal and the other way around.
I would appreciate if someone helps me, otherwise I think it would be a good suggestion for me to implement this filter function. What do you think?

This is a Reddit functionality, which topics that are more commented and upvoted are hot and stay on the top.
This forum does not have this feature.

I suggest that you go to bitcoin technical discussion and technical support boards. They are the best boards in the forum, with less spam and great discussions.

Thanks for your help. I thought I was right here with the board Beginners & Help.

Thank you that's what I was looking for  Wink

I already don't like the way clicking on +merit takes you away from the thread.  Can you please have it open in a new window?
Vod, it is a very good and short comment, but 45 merit I find a bit exaggerated. The only reason why so many Merit have happened is that the post is just at the beginning. Am I right there?
66  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Größere Summe auscashen ... nur wo? on: August 14, 2018, 09:10:47 AM
Hallo Community,

68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW TO MAKE ICO's PROFITABLE AGAIN on: August 14, 2018, 08:36:05 AM
Lately, we've seen that investing in crowdsales are no longer profitable due to ICO's favouring VCs and private investors. These set of investors receive heavy bonuses with almost no lock up periods at all. Consequently, they dump these tokens at listing on exchanges and crash the prices below the ICO price, resulting in big losses for smaller investors. As a result, it's difficult to make 5x - 10x from ICO price anymore.

As an investor, one of the best ways to curb this and make ICO's more profitable again is to focus on crowdsales. You have to make a conscious decision to invest in only projects with good lock up periods for VC's and private investors. These lock up periods is what guarantees that the guys with big bonuses don't dump on us. A project with good and experienced team, working product, good token metrics, use case, and considerable lock up periods for VCs and private investor should ordinarily do well in the market.

That's why it's very important that you study the whitepaper and get all the information about the new blockchain companies. If you look at newer ICO's, then a longer vesting period is important.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 is not a very prosperous year for cryptocurrency on: August 14, 2018, 08:23:23 AM
Hey guys, I just wanted to share. I've observed and read many articles too regarding this topic and I would like to hear your opinion regarding this. Do you think that the cryptocurrency market is on a downward trend? Would altcoins be following this trend as well? Since Jan 2018, the market of crypto had been moving up and down way too much in a very short period of time. Do you think it is possible for an entity to manipulate the market so big?
the crypto market need a breather, 2017 was a too bullish year. Unfortunately, the Alts also suffer because they are still attached to BTC. This will certainly change soon.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I give up now? on: August 13, 2018, 11:44:29 PM
It's better to earn real tokens, not fake ones as most of these ICO's are scams and they promise in any method to scam people. I joined so many Airdrops, bounties, but only 2 to 3 paid me and they were in less price. I wasted my time by promoting them on Social media sites.
I suggest you to discover much, but after all these also they don't pay anything for us.
Never give up!!! Always look forward.

72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC in crypto, does it really require? on: August 13, 2018, 10:49:38 PM
Do we really need to submit our personal details to ICOs for buying the token or for participating in it's bounty and airdrop?
I always wonder why do we need to give our vital info to ICOs that most are not even likely to come on in crypto space and crypto is all about decentralization but submitting our info has made it look centralized to me.
There is no regulation in crypto yet so why should we give our details to unknow ico organizers, so claim to prevent some region in participating in the ico because of the country law but those ICOs comes from the same region and country that prevent their own citizen from participating, should we say they are using style to rob us or our details is being used for other purpose .
I think it's high time we all need to stop giving our details to ICOs if really the crypto is all about decentralized and their is no regulation in the world yet to really require such details, I will like to know everyone minds about the submission of our details in term of KYC .
So far, only a few ICOs are fully regulated. But that will change in the future. That's why the KYC / AML process is very important. In addition, decentralization and regulation are not mutually exclusive.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: How to manage the risk in investing cryptocurrency? on: August 13, 2018, 10:33:09 PM
The risk in the virtual currency market is the risk of losing some or all of its capital when the investor performs the investment or virtual currency transaction. Identify the risks before conducting a transaction, helping them to know the specific loss rate in each case of investment will be how to, minimum and maximum how to decide the scale of investment, the first time investment, time of investment completion, and other relevant factors.

every investment with money is risky. cryptocurrency is one of the riskier investments, but it can also be very productive.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost over 80k because i sold too early (newbie mistake) on: August 13, 2018, 10:20:08 PM
A while ago i went all in ZClassic and bought about 365 Coins when the price was about 2$ per coin, but i decided to sell a couple of days after.
Two weeks later zclassic mooned and i could make about 80k now.

i learned my lesson in the hard way..
you have not lost any money. you just did not take the maximum profit

77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining still profitable?! on: August 13, 2018, 02:46:38 PM
Or has everyone change to stake Altcoins?
I don't know what the other people were doing, maybe yes, some of them move to POS coins, but I'm not doing that.

Why not? Did you ever calculated it?

Keep in mind you are asking about staking POS coins in the mining subforum.  The speculation subforum would be a better question about profitability of staking and masternodes, as whether its profitable or not is pure speculation.  As for the question about how cloud mining companies keep themselves afloat:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Ponzi
thanks for the note. With the next threads I will differentiate the submenus more exactly.  Wink
