Please make sure to contact them, both on here/there sites if you can and irc.

Both have got the sites back up straight away in the past and all payouts sent (as far as we have been told)

Edit: suchpool site is working for me
suchpool is working for me too
but i didn't get any share from block 5110 till now and their last solved block is 5170
what about you @badgercoin_team?
I'm on suchpool and received 3coins/hours/R9290

Is it correct (on average) or does people on other pool received much more coins per hour per card?

I did not received anything (3000VC disappeared)  VP6xHSAo355wsThstGtUCB8cRYNqKxVcTM
On the Dashboard I can see a Pool hashrate of 63, and a global Hashrate of 54...not very encouraging.

Waiting for further developpement before I came back on MinePit.

So, I lost 3 000 coins on MinePit and get back 2*50.

I may give a last try with a few cards, since Darkcoin difficulty is High and the name is great.
Witch pool is on the right fork and work good?

BTW i have 4,8K VC on MineP pool. MineP will you payout ?
I have 3k coins on MinePit too, waiting for payout too before returning my full Hash on them.

I think the essential of LimLim's post is that:

You won't let some folks here modify the Darkcoin code, why would you let them modify the marketting plan?

Marketting is a real job, as developper is. Darkcoin is great because of his proffessional developper, but Darkcoin is weak because he has not a professional marketting specialist.

You speack about the chineese pool with only one active worker at 70 M?

If so, what net hashrate did you see?

I'm on MinePit, and on the Dashboard, the Net-Hasrate is about 80M, I assume it's way too low, so that pool is probably in a wrong chain Sad

I put 12M on minePit. Is it possible to make the Payment manually every-day if there is some trouble with Autopayement?

.

What are the expected gain per Mh per day (average)

I can't mine this coin: I get 0 accepted share, lots of Hardware errors, no matter what.

I have 2 7950, I tryed nitropool since it seemed good.

Here is my .conf on a PIMP distro using sgminer sgminer 4.1.0-6-gd74e:

,
"auto-fan" : true,
"intensity" : "12",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",

I tryed various Thread Concurrency, and Intensity, still no share and some Hardware errors.

I'm not in having the best hasrate, but at least having 1 valid share will be a good start. Cheesy
Maybe try yacminer, see my previous post

I found Yacminer into my PIMP distro.

I paste your own .conf file for the 7950.
If I let the scrypt-chacha, I have no shares and Hardware errors, If I put Scrypt-Jane instead, I have no more Hardwre errors, but all shares are rejected (and I have 350Kh/s so I assume it's a Scrypt Kernel, not aScrypt Jane)

By the way, with Yacminer, no need to specify the strange parameters:
"sj-nfmin" : "4",
"sj-nfmax" : "30",
"sj-time" : "1388361600"
I did not fond them in your .conf.

Thanks, but the minner inside the PIMP linux usb system is SG-miner.

By the way you don't see some obvious mistakes in my .conf that can cause the 0 accepted shares ??

About name change, the only way to do it (if the decision is made to deal with it) is to hire a professional marketting specialist (as limlim said).

May be he can give his advice on the logo either.

here on the forum, we can only gave our amateurish advice, and the one with the biggest mouth is not necesseraly the one with the right call.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | ASIC Resistant on: April 05, 2014, 08:40:02 AM
As slick as the black & white logo is, I think it sends the wrong message. It says, "we're trying to look badass". To me, it's the style of logo better suited to companies targeting a youth market, like energy drinks or extreme sports or gaming peripherals. In the context we're competing in (finance), it makes us look unprofessional/young/inexperienced, or like we're overcompensating.

https://www.google.com.au/search?q=extreme+sports+logo&espv=210&es_sm=122&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X

http://breezycreativedesign.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Mother-energy-drink-logo-design.jpg

http://cdn.dualshockers.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/razer-hd-61537.jpg

No-one can deny that these don't all look cool. But they're not suited to finance, where trust & reliability are super important.

About the Logo: the point is not to pick the one people on this thread prefer, neither the coolest one, but the one that will do the better job As a logo.
I think there is 2 major condition that  need to be done:

1) friendly colors and smooth design that your parents should find appealing.

2) a reminder of what this coin is, (so a locket, a shield, anything mainly accepted as connected to privacy, check the firewall or antivirus icons)

3) a name that is less badass Ok, I did not bring it back.

Now, if the aim of the coin is to be used only for illegal activity, take the opposite: black logo, sharp disign, badass name.

The screen does black out after a few mins.   Another interesting thing about my other rig that didn't drop at all is that I unplugged the monitor cable from the GPU so I could use it on my Asrock H81 board that do need a monitor plugged in to start.   Don't know if that has anything to with it, but... let me do some test about that monitor being powered off by X scenario....
No wonder I didn't experience the drop, my rig has no monitor connected.

the drop also happens on some of my rigs without a monitor attached. all rigs running 290 and 290x cards.

run "aticonfig --adapter=all --initial -f".

add these 4 lines into /etc/rc.local before exit 0

Code:
export DISPLAY=:0
xset s off
xset -dpms
xset s noblank

Just in case it's not already executable, run:

Code:
chmod +x /etc/rc.local

I have sent a 30 Darkcoin Bounty to cryptogretzky by myself.

As I only have 3 r9 290 I'll make 3 month to recover that bounty with my increased hasrate, but I'll be in peace with this bug.

If any-one want to pay me back a part of that bounty, here is my address to share the cost.

thanks works like a charm. stable for 4 hours now.

just a short update. after the changes the drop is gone but after around 4 to 6 hours the complete mining rig freezes and a hard reset is needed.

update 2: the freeze of the complete rig happens now after a short period of time (30min up to 2h). When i revert the changes the rig runs stable for hours but the rate drops again.
You have an overclocking problem.
I have that same kind of problem, solved it by reverting memoryclock from 1500 to 1250.
I don't know if the change we made has a side effect, but I'm pretty sure that switching back your memory to 1250 will solve this issue. After you can have some stable mining, start overclocking again.

If the fix work, fell free to share with me the cost of the bounty I paid for it. My address is on the previous post.

Tested on BAMT 1.6, it worked.

Great! Is there a solution for windows as well?

"Fix" ? I've been mining with my R9 290s for months without issue. What exactly is it fixing?
We were about 20 to have problem with R9 290: the cards launch and mine at é.5Mh rate, but after 10 minutes a drop happened and the cards keep on mining at 2.3M.
A 0.2Mh/s drop happened on all cards from various brands and bios, all kind of OS and .conf file, all models are 290.
Srtrangely few people did not experiment this bug. May be you're one of them.

I just replace my xorg.conf, but did not understand what theses lines means.

I have 4 cards on my rigg, 1 270 with no drop and 3 290 (with drop)
Should I put the 270 on gpu0?

EDIT: I'm under BAMT, the xorg.conf changes back to the original one after a coldreboot, so I can't test if there is some changes.

79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sph-sgminer: multi-coin multi-algorithm GPU miner | added GroestlCoin on: March 30, 2014, 10:36:12 AM
Ok, on my other rig, I got PiMP running and this is the result after a few mins (all are Sapphire Tri-X 290x on  Asrock H81 Pro BTC):

GPU 0, 1, 2 are from a newer batch.   GPU 3 is an older one where I couldn't get it stable until I flashed it with the bios that I ripped from the newer GPU.

Noticed the first 2 that the temp/fan speed can be read dropped after a few mins back to 2.4 Mh?

GPU 2,3 temp couldn't be read for some reason and they stayed up at 2.78-2.8 Mh.

So... I am thinking that auto-gpu is throttling it back.   Temperature is quite low though...  my temp-target is 75.  Let me test temp-target with 80.

After I did a sudo aticonfig --adapter=all --initial -f,  it recogznied all 4 adapters.

I also changed auto-gpu to false and temp-target to 80.   On reboot, it started out at 2.6 Mh/s.

Once it hit temp-target, it dropped ALL GPU down to 2.38 Mh...   I don't know what else I can do to get it to hold at that initial hash.   Anyone have any ideas?

This is the best clue we had for a month...you were able to make the bug happened from a working config.

So if I sumarize it:
You had 4 290: 2 that has a drop and that has temp and fan listed, 2 others that did not have the drop and did not have temp and fan listed.
You do some aticonfig, and then all 4 has a drop and all 4 has temp and fan listed.

Is this correct?
If yes we could probably try to get back to the working config, then reproduce.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sph-sgminer: multi-coin multi-algorithm GPU miner | added GroestlCoin on: March 30, 2014, 10:32:50 AM
try auto-fan
if that don't work try setting your fanspeed so it doesn't reach the temp target
for some reason it seems like disabling auto-gpu doesn't work right

I already have my auto-fan as true.   Do you mean set it to false?

This is what I have as my conf already:

"api-allow" : "W:127.0.0.1,W:192.168.1.2",
"api-listen" : true,
"failover-only" : true,
"log" : "5",
"no-submit-stale": false,
"queue" : "0",
"scan-time" : "1",
"expiry" : "12",
"auto-fan" : true,
"auto-gpu" : false,
"gpu-threads" : "1",
"gpu-engine" : "1025,1025,1025,1025,1025",
"gpu-fan" : "35-100",
"gpu-memclock" : "1400,1400,1400,1400,1400",
"gpu-powertune" : "20",
"gpu-vddc" : "1.20",
"intensity" : "22",
"temp-target" : "80",
"temp-overheat" : "89",
"temp-cutoff" : "94",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"shaders" : "2816",
"thread-concurrency" : "27000",
maybe try "gpu-fan" : "50-100",
or higher...
just to keep from hitting temp-target

I set auto-fan to false, gpu-fan to 80-100.   It never hit the temp-target, but it STILL dropped in hash after a few mins.  argh.   The only way to make it not drop was when my gpu wasn't detected...   this is insanity....
well... you could try setting your clocks with sapphire trixx or the equivalent then running with --no-adl
you can also start it normally top set the clock then restart it with --no-adl

How do I set the clock outside of sgminer in Linux?  Or, did you mean run sgminer, let it set the OC, then stop it, and restart with --no-adl.   I did that, now none of the temp and fan are showing.   But, even I did that, after a few mins, all the GPU still dropped from 2.6 back down to 2.3...  argh...
It's probably not a clock issue since egineclock memoryclock stay steady, before and after the drop in hashrate.
