Is there a specific time frame for the features on the roadmap to be launched? Just read the newsletter, this looks really good. I've heard zerocoin protocol won't be until q4 or q1 of next year so I am assuming I have time to invest. I'm stuck holding bags of shitcoins atm.
The PIVX devs tend to keep quiet about new developments until they're tested and ready for release. I doubt they'll announce a specific date in advance. I'd guess you're looking at a 1 to 3 month timeframe, but I have no concrete evidence to back that up. The price has been essentially the same for months and will probably creep upward over the next while; I think you still have time to invest but that you won't get (m)any more chances at < $2 PIVX. I dont think it will take another 1 to 3 months as they already had done it in test framework. I am expecting a much quicker release than that |

The developers seem inclined to not just implement the zerocoin protocol, but to also be 200% sure beforehand that it is bugproof. Only the developers know when zerocoin will go live. However, when it does, be sure to fasten your seatbelts, 'cause we will be going to da moon  Ready for that.. If we can deliver a bug free zero coin protocol implementation, the price will skyrocket. I've been relentlessly shilling MNE throughout the whole of this topic. Perfectly sensible thing to do for me since I own a genesis address and dev never asked for any money.
The recently announced ICO, and the way in which it is constructed, changes things around though.
Where we previously had an anonymous dev who was giving away money with a 3 page white paper with a lot of blank spaces we now have an anonymous dev who is asking for money with a 3 page white paper with a lot of blank spaces. Dev never disclosed the amount of genesis accounts dev owns. This wasn't a problem before because everything was for free.
Now we have Dev holding an ICO using both MNE and ETH but at a rate of 1 ETH to 10 MNE.
Naturally people will want to participate in the ICO of Minereum's magic Dev. They'll run to buy MNE because they'll get a far better rate using MNE for the ICO than when using ETH.
The result is a huge pump in price for MNE.
Nice for MNE holders such as me. And MNE holders such as Dev.
But hey, MNE Dev never disclosed how many genesis addresses he holds? It never was an issue because everything was always paid for and given for free. But it is an issue now all of a sudden. All of a sudden there is real money involved.
Could it be that dev is creating artifical demand for MNE so he can offload his stash? Could it be that Dev is looking for an exit?
Coins like Mastercoin and Nxt pulled exactly the same trick.
Any MNE holder at this point will want full proven disclosure on the amount of MNE genesis addresses Dev holds
I'm not calling scam here but there are red flags everywhere. I would hope Dev will address the issues I've just pointed out.

*Soon™ LOL  Piece of shit. Still my immediate association with pos. And as far as I know, fits in all cases. Running a node is a Pita so maybe thats a Piece of Shit solution.  I doubt Monero will ever move to PoS. It works very well as PoW. PoS and privacy ain't working well together. Do you know of any privacy coins which implemented POS and eventually failed? I think POS would be a nice addition for the coin |

Why was the ICO date changed from august to December?
Can't find any information about it.
EDIT: I just read their update. I am happy that they have changed some things in their project. I will be checking what is going on closer to the date so see what other changes have been made. I still think that a ~$40m hard cap is too high though and is just going to deter investors.
There is no pint in rushing the ICO. I agree that 40M is a bit too much for the hard cap. They should reconsider that too. |
