65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: February 09, 2024, 01:56:16 PM
I'm in crypo world since 2021 only and since then I've noticed a lot of folks talking about Tether as being a potentional scam that may crash the markets one day and I've watched videos from crypto detectives/scam busters such as Coffeezilla and he makes some pretty fair points about Tether being the cryptos biggest scam.

I wanna personally know from people who have been in crypto for little longer than I have and maybe know a few things more or could share their personal view on Tether.

My side question to this would also be: Which type of stablecoin do You find the most credible in the Crypto space?

Thanks in advance for more experienced folks for sharing their insight!

It's great to see your curiosity and eagerness to learn more about the crypto space! As someone who has been in the crypto world for a while, I can understand your concerns about Tether and its potential impact on the market.

While Tether has indeed been subject to scrutiny and controversy, it's essential to approach the topic with a balanced perspective. While some voices in the community have raised valid concerns about Tether's transparency and backing, others argue that it serves a vital role in providing liquidity and stability to the crypto market.

As for stablecoins, there are various options available, each with its own set of advantages and drawbacks. Personally, I find stablecoins backed by reputable entities or audited regularly to be the most credible. Examples include USDC (USD Coin) and DAI, which are known for their transparency and regulatory compliance.

Ultimately, it's crucial to do your research, stay informed about developments in the space, and make informed decisions based on your risk tolerance and investment goals.

68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Between new tokens and old tokens, which would you invest into? on: February 07, 2024, 03:24:53 PM
The bull market is approaching and after that, the altcoin season will start as it has done in other bullish time for the market. Everyone has to be planning for what they'll buying in preparation for the bull run therefore I have a question for everyone. What altcoins will you be buying in preparation for the altcoin season if you only have limited option to choose between investing in old tokens, projects that were launched before or during last bull market or tokens that were launched between last year, this year and the next year. Let assume you only have $1000 and you can put this money in 1-5 projects but they all have to be either old tokens or new tokens that you'll be buying. Which one will you go for, for those that will think they can choose the two type of projects, that won't be possible. I'm trying to see where the attention of investors go when selecting tokens to invest into for the altcoin season.

When it comes to investing in cryptocurrencies, whether to opt for new tokens or old tokens is a decision that requires careful consideration and analysis.

Old tokens, particularly those that have weathered previous market cycles, may offer a sense of stability and proven track record. These projects have already established a community, demonstrated utility, and potentially weathered market volatility. However, it's essential to conduct thorough research to ensure that these projects still hold promise for future growth and development.

On the other hand, investing in new tokens can offer exciting opportunities for early adoption and potential high returns. These projects may represent innovative ideas and disruptive technologies, but they also come with higher risks due to their unproven track record and uncertainty surrounding their viability.

Ultimately, the decision between old tokens and new tokens depends on individual risk tolerance, investment goals, and research. With a limited budget of $1000, it's crucial to diversify and allocate funds wisely across projects that align with your investment strategy and vision for the future of the crypto market.

Remember to conduct thorough due diligence, stay informed about market trends, and consider seeking advice from reputable sources before making any investment decisions.

Best of luck with your investments!
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Safe is MetaMask? on: February 07, 2024, 03:22:35 PM
I have become increasingly concerned with security considering all of the attempted hacks, scams etc..

Knowing this I have moved much of my funds out of exchanges, but now if I hold these funds in MetaMask, can someone initiate a payment without my consent?

I received a full-screen warning from MetaMask with a warning for Ethereum Phishing.

Picture below:

Keen to hear your thoughts

Your concerns about security with MetaMask are valid, especially given the rise in attempted hacks and scams in the crypto space. While MetaMask is a popular choice for managing Ethereum and other tokens, it's crucial to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to protect your funds.

Regarding your question about unauthorized payments, MetaMask does offer robust security features to prevent unauthorized transactions. However, it's essential to ensure that your MetaMask wallet is adequately secured with a strong password and, if available, two-factor authentication (2FA).

The full-screen warning you received about Ethereum phishing is a testament to MetaMask's commitment to user safety. This warning indicates that MetaMask is actively monitoring potential threats and taking steps to alert users to potential risks.

In addition to relying on MetaMask's built-in security measures, consider practicing good security habits such as avoiding clicking on suspicious links, double-checking transaction details before confirming, and keeping your MetaMask software up to date with the latest security patches.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON is bad coin, here is why on: February 06, 2024, 12:43:31 PM
Maybe you know already: we have good coin and we have bad coin. While Bitcoin is very good coin, TRON is bad coin and here is why:

- TRON didn't achieve any additional technological advance compared to existing coin
- TRON is only launched because Justin Sun hates Vitalik Buterin and Ethereum
- Justin Sun failed to compete against Ethereum. Ethereum is much better, has much better technology and better developers
- Justin Sun just SHILLS his shitcoin TRON instead of implementing a better technology

Everyone should know, how fraudulent TRON really is.
Avoid bad coin like TRON.

It's always valuable to hear different opinions in the crypto community.
While TRON might not align with everyone's preferences, it's essential to remember that each project has its strengths and weaknesses. Some may find value in TRON's offerings, while others may not.
Ultimately, it's up to individuals to conduct thorough research and make informed decisions about which cryptocurrencies to invest in or support.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KuCoin Spot Grid Bot on: February 05, 2024, 11:02:45 AM
Hi all.

I am new (couple of month). Doing my research. Watched a video about Kucoin trading bots and decided to give a Spot Grid bot a go.
It is running since 2pm yesterday and constantly going into negative figures.
The way I set it up is following: chose custom them pasted AI parameters into it and only changed number of orders to 60.
Trading pair SOL/USDT. Since yesterday afternoon me and my bot lost over £5 Sad

I forgot to set a stop loss feature for this bot Sad And now I am thinking should I terminate this bot or should I wait when market will pick up and the bot supposedly will go into positive figures?
I assume that I experience losses with this bot because market started to dip right after I created the bot yesterday.

What is your take on this? Could you help me to understand where all of this is going??

Many thanks in advance!

So, your Spot Grid bot is going a bit wonky, Don't stress, happens to everyone.

Quick tips:

Market Mood: Crypto markets are moody. They dip, rise, do a little cha-cha. It's the norm.
Bot Settings: Check those bot settings. Make sure they match your vibe.
Oops, No Stop Loss: Forgot the stop loss? It's like leaving your umbrella at home on a rainy day – we've all been there.
Now, the big question: Wait it out or hit the stop button? Peek at the market vibes for SOL/USDT. If it feels like a comeback is in the cards, maybe hang in there. Patience pays off.

If the uncertainty bugs you, chat up some experienced traders.

Chin up, mate! Brighter crypto days are around the corner. 🚀

Zetachain recently airdrop to their dedicated testnet users who consistently did the testnet since 2022.
The testnet task where based on doing swap task and claiming points weekly.
I tried to follow up with the test task but I wasn't consistent enough so my allocation was small compare to those who accumulate huge points.

Well zetachain currently running a mainnet xp campaign. I have started accumulating xp and I believe this is another opportunity for earn zeta for the second time.

*What do you guys think about Zetachain as a project?
*Are you participating in the maninet campaign?
*Where you lucky with the first airdrop?
*Are you accumulating zeta for the bull season?

As for Zetachain, I've been keeping an eye on the project, especially after the recent airdrop to dedicated testnet users. The mainnet XP campaign sounds promising, and I'm intrigued by the opportunity to earn Zeta for the second time.

To the community:

What are your thoughts on Zetachain as a project? Any standout features or aspects that caught your attention?
Are you actively participating in the mainnet campaign? How's your experience so far?
For those who were part of the first airdrop, were you fortunate with a significant allocation?
And, of course, is anyone else accumulating Zeta in preparation for the bull season?
Let's share insights and experiences to foster a lively discussion!

75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are memecoins really important for the crypto market? on: February 02, 2024, 11:33:02 AM
I think that memecoins are important for the crypto market, but not in the way that some people might think. Memecoins are not important because they have intrinsic value or utility, but because they have entertainment value and community value. Memecoins are fun, humorous, and engaging. They attract new and young users to the crypto space, and they create a sense of belonging and identity among their fans. Memecoins also generate a lot of media attention and social buzz, which can raise awareness and interest in the broader crypto ecosystem.

However, I also think that memecoins are not important for the crypto market in the long term, and that they can be dangerous and distracting in some cases. Memecoins are not important because they are mostly based on hype, speculation, and manipulation. They have no real innovation or differentiation, and they are often vulnerable to scams, hacks, and crashes. Memecoins can also divert attention and resources from more serious and valuable crypto projects, and they can damage the reputation and credibility of the crypto industry.

I support your point mate, meme coin where created for fun and the amount of coin in circulation are too much for the coin to be considered a coin for serious investment. those who invest in meme coin should be careful because there are several scam project out there coming from meme coins, and one thing that troubles me most is the ability of the coin to be easily manipulated. And the high volatility of the coin might bring loss to a newbie investor, however for you to be able to trade properly with such coins, then you must have your eyes fixed on the market to avoid losses.

I appreciate your perspective on meme coins and the risks involved in investing in them. I agree that they are not suitable for serious investors who are looking for long-term returns.

However, I would like to share with you some information about GigaChadGPT, a new AI-powered chatbot that is based on a meme coin called $GIGA. GigaChadGPT is a rival of ChatGPT, an AI chatbot developed by OpenAI that can generate human-like text based on context and past conversations. GigaChadGPT claims to have superior alpha energy and more features such as chat with images, voice, and create images. GigaChadGPT is also backed by Sberbank, a Russian lender that is investing heavily in AI technologies.

GigaChadGPT is an example of how meme coins can be used for innovative and creative purposes, beyond just fun and speculation. GigaChadGPT aims to democratize access to AI and provide a platform for users to interact with various GPTs (Generative Pre-trained Transformers) that are customized for different tasks and domains. GigaChadGPT also rewards its users with GigaCoins for using the chatbot and creating new GPTs.

I am not saying that GigaChadGPT or GigaCoin are better than ChatGPT or any other meme coin. I am just trying to show you that there is more to meme coins than meets the eye. They can also be a source of inspiration, learning, and entertainment. Of course, they still have their drawbacks and challenges, such as scalability, security, and regulation. But I think they are worth exploring and experimenting with, as long as you are aware of the risks and do your own research.

77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do low fees matter most in choosing crypto platforms, or other factors? on: February 02, 2024, 04:39:50 AM
When choosing a cryptocurrency platform, do you prioritize seeking out those with lower transaction fees, or do other factors such as security, user interface, or available features take precedence in your decision-making? Share your perspective below and let's discuss the key considerations within our community!

Choosing a cryptocurrency platform can be a challenging and personal decision, as there are many factors to consider and trade-offs to make. Here is my perspective on this question:

I think that transaction fees are an important factor, but not the only one, when choosing a cryptocurrency platform. Transaction fees are the costs that you pay to use a platform to buy, sell, or trade cryptocurrencies. They can vary depending on the platform, the currency, the volume, and the type of transaction. Transaction fees can affect your profitability and your user experience, so it’s good to compare different platforms and find the ones that offer the best value for your needs.

However, I also think that other factors, such as security, user interface, or available features, are equally or more important than transaction fees. Security is the most crucial factor, as you want to ensure that your funds and data are safe and protected from hackers, scammers, or other threats. You want to choose a platform that has a good reputation, a strong encryption, a reliable customer support, and a clear regulatory compliance. User interface is another important factor, as you want to choose a platform that is easy to use, navigate, and understand. You want to choose a platform that has a user-friendly design, a responsive performance, and a helpful feedback. Available features are also important, as you want to choose a platform that offers the features and options that suit your preferences and goals. You want to choose a platform that supports the currencies and tokens that you want to trade, the payment methods that you want to use, the trading tools and strategies that you want to apply, and the additional services and benefits that you want to enjoy.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / 😎😎GigaChadGPT: The Ultimate AI Chatbot Memecoin 😎😎 on: February 01, 2024, 10:24:29 AM

Today, I want to introduce you to a new and exciting project that I recently discovered. It’s called GigaChadGPT, and it’s the ultimate AI chatbot memecoin. Yes, you heard that right. It’s a memecoin that has an AI chatbot. And not just any chatbot, but a GigaChad chatbot.

What is GigaChad, you may ask? Well, GigaChad is an internet legend, a meme, a symbol of alpha male dominance. He is the ultimate chad, the epitome of masculinity, the king of the betas. He is the man that every man wants to be, and every woman wants to be with.

Now, imagine if you could combine the alpha energy of GigaChad with the power of artificial intelligence. What would you get? You would get GigaChadGPT, the ultimate AI chatbot memecoin. GigaChadGPT is the fusion of GigaChad and AI. GigaChad + AI = GigaChadGPT.

GigaChadGPT is not just a meme, it’s a lifestyle. It’s a way of being confident, smart, and successful. It’s a way of having fun, making friends, and making money. It’s a way of being a GigaChad.

GigaChadGPT is also a revolutionary cryptocurrency that uses the Binance Smart Chain network. It has a total supply of 100 million tokens, of which 40% are allocated for the presale and public sale. The presale is ending soon, and the public sale will start today, February 1, 2024. The starting price is 0.0045 USD per token, and the hard cap is 250,000 USD.

GigaChadGPT has a unique tokenomics that rewards holders with more tokens and NFTs based on their staked amount and duration. The longer you stake, the more you earn. The more you earn, the more you become a GigaChad. GigaChadGPT also has a charitable aspect, by donating a portion of the fees to animal shelters and environmental organizations.

GigaChadGPT is not only a token, but also a chatbot. You can talk to GigaChadGPT on their website or on their Telegram group. GigaChadGPT will answer your questions, give you advice, tell you jokes, and make you laugh. GigaChadGPT will also teach you how to become a GigaChad, by giving you tips on fitness, nutrition, dating, investing, and more.

GigaChadGPT is the ultimate AI chatbot memecoin that will change your life. It will make you smarter, stronger, richer, and happier. It will make you a GigaChad. Don’t miss this opportunity to join the GigaChadGPT community and become a part of the GigaChadGPT revolution. Visit their website, join their Telegram group, and buy their token today. Become a GigaChad with GigaChadGPT.

My insight and review:

I think that GigaChadGPT is a very innovative and fun project that combines the best of both worlds: memes and AI. I think that the idea of having a GigaChad chatbot is hilarious and entertaining, and also useful and educational. I think that the tokenomics are fair and rewarding, and the charity aspect is noble and generous. I think that the project has a lot of potential and hype, and could attract a lot of attention and investors.

However, I also think that the project has some risks and challenges that need to be addressed. For example, how secure and reliable is the AI chatbot? How accurate and helpful are the answers and advice that it gives? How scalable and sustainable is the project in the long run? How will the project deal with the competition and regulation in the crypto space? How will the project ensure the quality and value of the tokens and NFTs?

These are some of the questions that I have, and I hope that the project team can answer them and provide more information and transparency. I also hope that the project can deliver on its promises and expectations, and not disappoint its supporters and investors.

Overall, I think that GigaChadGPT is a very interesting and unique project that deserves a chance and a closer look.

79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How a $112 Million XRP Hack Shook the Crypto World! on: February 01, 2024, 09:24:51 AM
Lol, another proof that XRP is not worth our money. When a co-founder can't keep his coins safe - it means something.

I think that XRP security is an important topic that deserves more attention and education. XRP is a digital asset that is used for fast and low-cost cross-border payments.
However, XRP security also depends on the users and how they store and manage their XRP. Users should always follow the best practices of crypto security, such as using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and keeping their private keys safe. Users should also be careful of phishing, scams, and malware that could compromise their XRP accounts.

The hack of Chris Larsen’s personal XRP accounts was a wake-up call for the XRP community. It showed that even the co-founder and executive chairman of Ripple, the company behind XRP, could fall victim to a cyberattack. It also showed that the hack did not affect the security or value of XRP as a cryptocurrency, but only the security of Larsen’s accounts.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Btc is PoW v1.0 and Kaspa is PoW v2.0 on: February 01, 2024, 06:50:53 AM
They have maximum total supply, like Bitcoin
PoW like Bitcoin
Halvings like Bitcoin.

10 blocks per second on Testnet vs. 1 block per 10 minutes on Bitcoin

You can scan QR code. In 0.1 second block is created. In 1 second 10 confirmations. And you don't even need these 10 blocks. Because if several blocks are created at the same time - they all are added. So if you get into a block. This block can't be cancelled by other blocks.

Testnet. 10bps
http://104.11.218.91:8080/

Mainnet. 1bps
https://explorer.kaspa.org/

Bitcoin. But a real-time method of payment. What do you think?

I think that
Bitcoin is the first crypto coin that uses PoW v1.0 protocol. Slow txs.
Kaspa is the first crypto coin that uses PoW v2.0 protocol. Real-time txs.

Bitcoin is the first and most popular cryptocurrency that uses PoW v1.0 protocol. It has a maximum total supply of 21 million coins, which makes it scarce and valuable. It also has halvings, which reduce the block reward every four years, making it more difficult and expensive to mine. Bitcoin has a block time of 10 minutes, which means that transactions take some time to be confirmed and finalized. Bitcoin is widely accepted and supported by many platforms and services, making it easy to use and exchange. Bitcoin is often seen as a store of value, a digital gold, or a hedge against inflation.

Kaspa is a new and emerging cryptocurrency that uses PoW v2.0 protocol. It also has a maximum total supply of 21 million coins, which makes it scarce and valuable. It also has halvings, which reduce the block reward every four years, making it more difficult and expensive to mine. However, Kaspa has a block time of one second, which means that transactions are very fast and almost instant. Kaspa uses a block DAG (directed acyclic graph) structure, which allows multiple blocks to be created and added at the same time, without causing forks or conflicts. Kaspa is not yet widely accepted or supported by many platforms and services, making it harder to use and exchange. Kaspa is often seen as a medium of exchange, a digital cash, or a real-time method of payment.
