All I see here is pool spam, Is there ANY merchant acceptance in Iceland?  ? and if so, proof? Seriously? IF there will ever be merchant acceptance, that'll happen long after airdrop. Yeah, seriously, IF they intend to be taken seriously, they need to be pushing and promoting implementation NOW The coin is already operational, why shouldn't they be pushing for it? otherwise nothing more than another Maza P&D. It's only two weeks Lols, finally somebody else wondering why there is no talk about the infrastructure development and education in cryptos for Icelanders taking part and only about the price. The only reason I was mining, was the hope they were going to be pushing this. So far I see NO evidence of it. You guys can please yourselves, but I aint wasting hashing power on another P&D. There are a few CPU miners. One is listed on the Ultracoin forum too. However, there is one specific miner that is best and most up to date. -Manual N parameters for multiple coins -X86 and 64bit formats -Stratum pool capable -Scrypt optimizations for Scrypt-Jane https://github.com/thirtybird/cpuminer/releases/This is the absolute best CPU miner out there currently. I believe it has all the needs being asked for. Get it repacked under a nice shiny UTC logo and get it on the webby  |

Its an interesting dynamic to see such inspiring bursts of enthusiasm marred by periods of downtime such as these. We'll blast through nearly 10-15 pages and then things become stagnant, only to be reignited again. I'm wondering how we can keep this fire burning at a nice steady pace. That is the million dollar question for sure. But how? There have been several excellent suggestions but we need to collectively organize them and bring them into fruition.
For starters, I think dcgirl and anonblues hit the nail on the head. What is the coin really meant to do? What is it meant to be? What is its competitive advantage? How can it disrupt such a ecosystem where dedication and loyalty are few and far between?
Obviously the rapid transaction times and ASIC resistance are a huge benefit, but that is not enough. We have a seemingly strong community, but require more involvement from all. And that simply requires posting and sharing and educating the uneducated. Social media is a fantastic outlet for this. I mean, look at the Facebook page. That spurred a lot of excellent activity today. Why can't we emulate that from day to day? People are afraid of things they do not understand. They perceive it as a risk. And, of course, while any crypto is a risk, we can help mitigate that impression by passing on our collective understandings. There is potential here and that should not be put to waste.
Speak up and you shall be heard.

1. Did you ever backup your wallet from 1.5?
2. Do you still have 1.5?
3. Type %appdata% into your windows search (hit windows button on the bottom left and type that in with % symbols included), open "roaming", Find ultracoin. Is your wallet.dat file there?

Anyone having problems with 1.6 wallet on Win7??
Just updated to 1.6 and it's fucked my wallet completely, all I get is C++ runtime errors and it terminates. No dat files can I find anywhere, no working wallet after updating this shitty fucking wallet 300 fucking UTC gone. Anyone have ideas on recovery??
