61  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: July 19, 2017, 04:52:25 PM
I use electrum as my main savings wallet and blockchain.info as a spending wallet. I use to just use block chain.info but when I bought more Bitcoin and started collecting I wanted control of my private keys so I made the switch and I'm very happy. It's nice to have a fully functional and safe wallet that doesn't need the blockchain on your PC but rather connects to it online. Very clever.
Unless you are a developer or a programmer who works with bitcoin, I do not think that the whole blockchain is required in your wallet. Therefore, electrum is the best choice. Blockchain.info is also a great wallet but I never trust any online wallet because it is not good and can create a lot of problem to users
62  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: July 19, 2017, 04:49:31 PM
if you have some decent skill and you have the strong feeling that you can make money with crypto, abandoning your current job to focus 100% in cryptocurrencies is the great choice. However, if you can not maintain the bitcoin job and you can not earn anything from it, you should not quit your job. Working bitcoin as a part time job can give you some extra credits
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a source of income? on: May 28, 2017, 08:44:09 AM
I doubt that really many people left their jobs cause of bitcoin. Yes that's true that with bitcoin you don't even need to leave your house, but it is still stays not sure income. And I believe that the biggest mass of people earn bitcoins in their free time like underworking. I am one of them.
actually there are many people are doing that in my country. They abandon their job and focus 100% on bitcoin. On the beginning, it seems very diffcult to them but most of the people work hard and they do not give up. Therefore, they have found many interesting job which relate to bitcoin and they find that themselve are suitable to it. In my opinion, mining is kinda the easiest job in this field. But you need to be flexible while choosing a good coin to mine
64  Economy / Securities / Re: btc-arbs: High-Performance, Pooled Arbitrage Fund... Or... ? on: March 25, 2014, 04:22:14 AM
I've seen much more elaborate HYIP/Ponzis than btc-arb. From my experience with bitcoin trading on a daily-basis, the daily interest they offer is already too high for arbitrage trading - or at least borderline when it comes to sustainability. So tread lightly on that program, don't invest more than what you're willing to lose donate.

I don't have an account for 12verized. I'm done with HYIPs. It's unfortunate what happened to you BigWorm, you joined a few days before the crap hit the fan and yes, I did get a referral bonus from you but I never withdrew it. If I did, I would've have offered you at least 1/2 of it back. I planned on giving away the $5 bonus as long as the program kept it together, I've been giving out BTC from the raffle for at least 2 or 3 weeks in a row till near the end when they had the server fiasco and then the disappearing act they pulled.
66  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [SCAM] Leancy Ltd - Bitcoin Investment - 150% Return & 5% Daily Interest on: March 18, 2014, 09:33:18 PM
Are you retarded?

You got involved knowing it was a ponzi, you encouraged others to join it.

I hope Lieven van nugget gets arrested for running a ponzi and you get conspiracy charges to go along with it.

You can't knowingly partake in a crime, then when you don't get your cut, rat on the people involved, you absolute snake.

You went in eyes wide open, you're just pissed off you didn't scam as much money as the people who started it.
Yes Piggles, You summed up my entire life story and personality dilemma in a few sentences. Congrats. You must be the type that likes to preach to the choir about how great you are with your self esteem and righteousness. I've never ratted on anyone in my life - I have no clue where you got that idea. However, ratting out a rat to begin with isn't called ratting, it's stating the obvious. I've already made peace with my lost and regret that I ever bothered promoting them. I'm not asking for anyone's forgiveness, especially not yours. I'd be nothing more than grateful knowing those behind Leancy get's their fair share of justice. As for the people I referred into the program, not one of them have blamed me for their lost but once again, I do regret doing so.

Most, if not all, of us knew what we were getting ourselves into. I'm not pissed because someone cried wolf and I never listened. I'm pissed because even after they stopped paying and froze all outgoing transfer.. they still continued running their site and siphoning funds from unsuspecting members.

There's a Facebook group for members who were scammed by Leancy: https://www.facebook.com/groups/LeancyInvestors/

On that group, there's a person in the UK trying to work up a case against all those behind the Leancy scam and possibly that Lieven VanDouche guy. He supposedly has reported the crime/scam to Interpol and has obtained a list of information regarding those behind it, presumed to be Lieven and this Yvonne Wenzel person. He's trying to work up a class action suit against those behind it and is looking for people to come out and provide some information regarding the amount they were scammed for and some private info such as name and a contact number.

I'm borderline on locking this thread but locking it might prove more damaging than leaving it on.. especially in a situation like this which could induce massive FUD. People see this thread locked and it's a throwing feces war going on with new threads. If there's gonna be FUD, might as well try to contain it all in this thread.

But hopefully, we all restrain/contain our bowel movements. I'd like to see more informative post, at least something that would be helpful and lessen the stress in a situation like this. - Like the previous one about OKPay and Perfect Money is paying out. Although last I heard, only people were successful in withdrawals with OKPay. Bitcoin withdraws are still stuck.

At the time of this post, no official response from Leancy either. I'm gonna' sleep on it and hope I'll wake up to some good news. 'Nite all.

Edit - Leancy's bitcoin payout and holding wallet seems to be intact. They haven't emptied their payout wallet nor have they transferred or tumbled their holding wallet which has around 860btc last I checked. This could be a sign of hope or we could all be waiting for the inevitable to happen. Either way.. it all comes down to the waiting game.

STAHP posting ref. links. It's already bad enough there's all this FUD around Leancy... don't need to turn this into a ref. spam thread either.

It can take 24 hours or more to synchronize all the blocks. Leave Bitcoin-Qt running in the background and let it finish downloading the blocks before you make a deposit.

Keep in mind, you need to have Bitcoins in your wallet in order to deposit Bitcoins into Leancy. If you're unfamiliar with how Bitcoin works, I advise you to google it. There's more than enough information out there explaining the bitcoin protocol, how transactions work and gets confirmed.. etc.

Leancy is aware of the issues where some people may having trouble loading/connecting to their site. This seems to be caused by some network issues and most likely, the root of the problem seems like it's coming from their end. As more info/update is made available to me, I'll post it on here as soon as possible.
73  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Leancy Ltd - Bitcoin Investment - 150% Return & 5% Daily Interest (FREE $5 BTC) on: March 09, 2014, 05:22:33 PM
is it just me or leancy is down?
The NS propagation should be complete by now. Try clearing your browser's cache (cookies, history, etc) as well as flushing your DNS to see if that fixes itself. If you're using a free DNS service, you might have to look into on how to flush it manually.

Leancy is up on my end, there may be some kinks left to iron out but the site is accessible for the most part. Keep in mind no site has an uptime of 100%, so keep that into consideration.
74  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Leancy Ltd - Bitcoin Investment - 150% Return & 5% Daily Interest (FREE $5 BTC) on: March 08, 2014, 08:00:31 PM
Your current amount of $ / current price of BTC at bitstamp and you know how many BTC you have invested. It's not so hard, is it?
Except for some people, like me, have fiat invested as well so it wouldn't be productive trying to tally up the Bitcoin amount and fiat amount then work the math on it. Even if someone only have Bitcoin invested, it starts to become an annoyance having to divide $/market rate every time.

I would welcome such a feature so that I don't have to guess where I'm at in terms of BTC amounts. Until now I didn't even know where they obtained their market value from.
Leancy uses Blockchain's exchange rate API (https://blockchain.info/ticker)

Just an update - I got word Leancy will start implementing a feature for Bitcoin investors where it would make calculating the total amount of BTC invested a lot easier. Instead of adding every single Bitcoin deposit, this feature should automatically show the total amount deposited - in Bitcoins. They will implement this feature after* they get their site and services in order.

^ Exactly just that. The "official" (and I use that term loosely) Leancy FB group is poorly run and managed. If there are multiple complaints for the same exact reason from various people about Lieven, then that means something isn't right with that picture. It's a systemic issue which needs to be resolved.

If anyone is interested, there's another Leancy related FB group here which is less "cluttered" as the official one. Hopefully, we can get everyone from btctalk to join and make it into something more constructive with the ability for people to freely express their own opinions without having to get the banhammer. Smiley

There is already a previous post with this same Program.

Anyway, more advertising is good.
But none of the other post has exhibited the same issues I'm having. I tried clearing my local dns cache, google's dns cache, even my browser cache to no avail. It's starting to worry me
79  Economy / Gambling / Re: RO-INVEST - Bitcoin, LTC, Doge Investment - 150% Return & 5-20% Daily Interest on: March 07, 2014, 05:12:17 AM
Scratch that. I just noticed something odd with their real-time interest calculations. I left the page on to see the interest go from $52 to $56 and then I hit the refresh button on my browser and it went back to $52. I did this three times and each time it reset back to $52. Has anyone been running into the same issue I'm having? I've sent a ticket to support already, hopefully they can explain what's going on as a lot of people might possibly be losing money over this without even knowing.
