61  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience NewPac / Terminus R606 (BM1387) Official Support Thread on: May 30, 2019, 03:23:02 PM
Hello, little help here if able please.

Just started running 7 NewPacs and an R-606 on a Win10 machine, all well except for 3 NewPacs.

All 7 run on a hub with 2.1A, have tried swapping slots among them, ran the 4 "good ones" all night and at 50, 100 and 200Mhz, with and without the R-606 connectec also, they ran without a hitch.

The 3 faulty ones, I tried hot swapping, ran them alone, then a pair, then all 3. 50, 100 and 200Mhz. Version cgminer-4.11.1-windows-gekko-9e51f0b and previous one.

-n outputs this:

Code:
[2019-05-30 09:34:52.252] USB all: found 22 devices - listing known devices
.USB dev 0: Bus 3 Device 11 ID: 0403:6015
  Manufacturer: 'GekkoScience'
  Product: 'NewPac Bitcoin Miner'
.USB dev 1: Bus 3 Device 9 ID: 0403:6015
  Manufacturer: 'GekkoScience'
  Product: 'NewPac Bitcoin Miner'
.USB dev 2: Bus 3 Device 10 ID: 0403:6015
  Manufacturer: 'GekkoScience'
  Product: 'NewPac Bitcoin Miner'
 [2019-05-30 09:34:52.253] 3 known USB devices

Starting cgminer looks like this and runs various checks similar:

Code:
USB management [P]ool management Settings [D]isplay options [Q]uit
 2: GSH 10081190: found 0 chip(s)                                          |  0.000 /  0.000h/s WU:0.0/m

 [2019-05-30 09:58:37.088] 0: GSH 0 - Toggling ASIC nRST to reset

Finally gets to this:

Code:
USB management [P]ool management Settings [D]isplay options [Q]uit
 6: GSH 10081157: found 0 chip(s)                                          | OFF
 7: GSH 10081190: found 0 chip(s)                                          | OFF
 8: GSH 10081129: found 0 chip(s)                                          | OFF

Appreciate any help.
62  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac/Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: May 29, 2019, 05:28:42 PM
Will go over to that thread, sorry.
Yeah I have 2 fans on the sticks.

Also a fan on the Brick when I run the R-606 at 650Mhz Wink it runs fine but the brick does get hot and runs at the full 8A, so I backed off and have it running at 550 so it uses 6.5A, that's pretty close to 80%.

Got all this from MineFarmBuy and figuring out how to run it properly yet but very happy with my lotto tickets so far.
63  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience 2Pac/Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: May 29, 2019, 03:30:50 PM
Running CGMiner under win 10, have a USB Hub that can provide 2.1A per port, also running  an r-606 in same instance but on another port, of the 7 Newpacks 3 are acting up, 2 constantly and 1 on and off with the "found 0 chip" issue.

I have tried 100, 200 and 250 Mhz.
Tried different USB ports on the PC and changing ports on the hub with the "good" newpacks.
Tried hot-unplug/plugging.

Any help is appreciated.

If raw power is what your looking for, we have the HP 1200Watt GekkoScience kit, its the power supply, break out board and 6 x 6pin cables. I have it listed at ~$100 but if you buy an R606, its only $69.

https://i2.wp.com/www.419mining.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/DSC_0416.jpg

So this PSU could run 7 R-606 on 220v? 6 on 120v all at 775 Mhz.? That be $11 per unit! Save one for me with a few R-606 for next week, seriously.

You,re gonna scare the Newbie. You can use a brick PSU if you don't overclock.

From my sales person at Bitfily, "They are not making any new miners". so RIP Bitfily and hope I don't break another PSU.
70  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: May 21, 2019, 02:31:10 PM
Well 6666 looks too evil.

And 4444 is really low.

So 5555 is in the middle...

One of the best financial analysis of crypto I have seen in months! LOL.
71  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Current List of Competitive Hardware - April 2019 on: May 17, 2019, 06:27:42 PM
I think Bitfily is down for the count, last I tried to buy from them by the time the wire transfer cleared they were out of any and all miners, used A1, B1 et all, they actually went out and found me used M3's to try and make up, their page is down also. I will confirm in a few days when I contact a sales person I know.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is www.turbominebtcminer.com Real or Scam? on: May 13, 2019, 03:27:14 PM
It has Scam written all over it, I don't even want to run my virus scanner on their software remotely but there are way more sabby people in this forum that can shed light on this.

I would hold off for now.
73  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Current List of Competitive Hardware - April 2019 on: May 11, 2019, 01:25:35 PM
Micro BT is announcing 4 Whatsminers Sunday the 19th, M20, M20S, M21 and M21S.

May want to watch for that for competitive hardware, I posted their announcement but was promptly deleted for unknown reasons.
74  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Does worth mining with used S9s? on: May 11, 2019, 01:12:09 PM
Yeah, since this thread started BTC's gone up almost 20%, they sort of price miners accordingly.
75  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: RESELLER REVIEW&FEEDBACK (NOORDMINER.EU) on: May 11, 2019, 11:50:28 AM
To be honest having real bank account in EU make me think that there is still hope Smiley

I would contact my bank and ask what recourse I have since I did not receive any goods, if anything it alerts their bank about fraudulent operations and may close their account preventing them from scamming other fellow miners.

$186 USD Shipping for 20 S9 to Mexico! Wink The page looks great and all but this little things are very suspicious, there is no bank info either on checkout, what bank did you deposit to?
77  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: RESELLER REVIEW&FEEDBACK (NOORDMINER.EU) on: May 10, 2019, 04:59:08 PM
First I hear of them, great find for used miners if real.

Edit: NM, just saw OP
78  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Does worth mining with used S9s? on: May 08, 2019, 04:47:54 PM
Great find, like PassThePopcorn was saying $/Th, $230/11.5=$20 per TH including shipping!

https://pangolinminer.com/ was selling used S9 13.5T not too long ago for $130 plus shipping but they were gone in a couple of days. Grab those M3X while you can, doubt anyone will sell you just 1 to try, deals on used miners come and go quickly.

Cannot stress enough to do proper electric infrastructure by a qualified electrician, you have a lot of free electricity that can make you BTC or fry the proverbial goose, literally fry.
