This is the third or fourth coin with such an algo and a similar logo, only the color is different. None of these projects survived. Wasting time and energy for nothing.  Grin
62  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Pollard's kangaroo ECDLP solver on: May 30, 2020, 04:58:46 PM

If you know how to add - it is enough to perform the subtraction:
M = P - Q = P + (-Q) - here M point is P point minus Q point, which is the same as P point plus (-Q) point. So you make the addition of points P and (-Q).

If Q point has coordinates (Qx, Qy), so (-Q) point will have coordinates (Qx, modulo - Qy)

Now you can easily can make a subtraction:
M = P - Q = (Px, Py) - (Qx, Qy) = (Px, Py) + (Qx, modulo - Qy)

Perhaps there is an implementation in C++ or Python code?
63  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Pollard's kangaroo ECDLP solver on: May 30, 2020, 04:01:21 PM

As relating to the Wild Kangaroos, [working_public_key] = [(original_public_key) - (beginning_range)*(secp256k1_generator_point)].
[distinguished_point] = [(+-traveled_distance)*(secp256k1_generator_point)] + [working_public key]

You will need to add back the (beginning_range) when there’s a collision to solve for the (original_public_key).

Could you explain how you calculate the coordinates, is there such a tool? I know how to add and multiply, but not the opposite.

hi, what are the scanning ranges for the 64 bit

8000000000000000:ffffffffffffffff

the ranges already scanned?

This is a large range. And no one tells how many are scanned.

Thanks for the info Wink

I didn't look at all addresses, the #110 is the only one remaining with the pub key exposed ?

I committed the mods. Linux user can try them. (Edit: or Windows user who compile,
I updated project files)

Good afternoon.
You can make statistics at the end of the work cycle.
It is very inconvenient to leaf through all the console output if there are several keys in the input file.

I published an exe file for Windows:
https://github.com/JeanLucPons/BSGS/releases/tag/1.0
To solve a 110bit puzzle, on my config, it would take a very very long time, ~4 billions years !

Hello respected Jean !!!

Then Lanch release on my 8 Gb memory PC, after memory was full used in release code, sped of working down to 0- zero. Can you please modyfy code for fine wlrking on PC with smole memory then 12 Gb.
-snip-

Etar already answered. I can confirm the same.
Just use the smaller baby step table. It is the 1st line in in.txt file. By default it is 40000000 in hex format (2^30), and it requitres approx. 9Gb RAM.

For your 8Gb memory you can use 20000000 (2^29), and in total you will need approx. 1 hour to find the private key for 64bit key. Jean tested with 12Gb RAM and 2^30 baby step and had approx 13 minutes. You will have 1 hour with your 8Gb RAM.

Just test, and say the result if 1 hour prediction was correct.

So write that you are selling a slow algorithm, and there is no time to test it in practice. Huh

On the video there is testing the algorithm in single-threaded python execution mode. What else is needed?
I made a multi-threaded and economical memory option, and I sell it. It can still be improved, but I do not have time.

And how long does it take to puzzle 65 bits?

Wow n00by

The algorithm is important. My algorithm allows me to search faster than Pollard-Ro. In general, I sell an algorithm

Well, look for it yourself, you will earn more ... It seems he wrote that there is no equipment? So there is Amazon EC2.
In general, do something smarter. Because in this way, you can find only the latest noobs.
