OK!!! I really think this will be a good boost to the bitcoin community. If you check my site at http://startbitcoin.com You will see all of your links posted on the sidebar of my page. I hope that everyone that contributed their site to this list will do the same by posting all of our links to their page. On the sidebar of every page would be preferred (like how I set mine up) but a minimum of a link page containing all of them would be the minimum.

There are a lot of great sites on this list that I have never seen or heard of before and this is a great opportunity to show that the bitcoin community is strong and has a lot to offer. We all have to do our part and post links to all the other sites or we will not increase our page rank.

Also, if you hover over the links on my page you will notice that they all have a description and every description includes the word "bitcoin". That will be key to increasing SEO. I put the work in for all of you, please return the favor.

Please add Bitcoin Venture Capital http://www.btcvc.com/ as well. He sent me a PM with the information and I want to make sure that everyone includes them in their links.

Might want to check the configuration of your fans. Do you have a case that is made to transfer this much heat?

I'm not going to link to anyone, but my tool is useful and you can link to it if you want.

Hmmm... don't know if that's really in the spirit of things.

I think GUI miner only works with OpenCuda cards - i.e. ati/amd cards. You might want to look into a ubuntu setup that supports nvidia.

Hi all you bitcoin webmasters. I am putting together a group of respected bitcoin sites to start a SEO linking campaign. Too many news sites that are really just advertising bad news about bitcoins are taking up the front pages of major searches and I would like to get us coordinated to improve our page ranks via in-links.

Please post your site if you would like to be considered for this and I should have it all up and running within the next couple days.

Thanks in advance and I hope we can get this going.

Great catch. I have updated the tutorial to reflect that.

My primary target right now is the sidebar. I want the site to maintain it's integrity so I don't want  a cluster of ads. I am looking at a 160 x 600 or a 120 x 600. I'll work with you on it.

First thing you need to do is get a “Bitcoin Wallet”. Because Bitcoin is an internet based currency, you need a place to keep your Bitcoins. Got to http://www.bitcoin.org and download the Bitcoin client for your Operating System. Install it and click “New” to get your wallet ID. It will be a long sequence of letters and numbers. One of most important things you can do is make sure you have a copy of this on a thumb drive and print a copy out and keep it in a safe location. The reason is that if you computer crashes and you do not have a copy of your wallet ID, you will lose all of your Bitcoins. They won’t go to someone else, they will disappear forever. It is like burning cash.

Took me 3 days to figure that one out.
I went straight to guiminer not realizing that I also needed bitcoin client.

I tried to make sure I covered every detail. Make sure that you get yourself a secured wallet too. I made another easy to follow tutorial on how to do that. Don't worry if you don't consider yourself an advanced user. It is very easy to follow. Try it out and let me know how it goes.

As always I hope you use these tutorials to have a good bitcoin experience and if you feel that my help is worth a donation my wallet is 1HbdRpinMDQ2cgUWsKiMPDN2icC8rNpS1i

75  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Securing my wallet on Ubuntu: is my theory solid? on: June 22, 2011, 03:19:11 PM
I would recommend using a thumb drive bootable edition of ubuntu for your savings account. That way every time you access your savings wallet, you are on a fresh copy of ubuntu and any trojans you may have gotten with your main OS will not effect your savings wallet. I put a guide together for all of you who are reading this and don't know what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the feedback panda. I don't think this will apply to advanced users but I try to make all of this as newbie friendly as possible.

78  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to secure a wallet.dat that may have been compromised? on: June 22, 2011, 04:51:17 AM
Just create a new secure wallet and then transfer your bitcoins over to it. I put up a site with detailed instructions on how to create one if your not sure or can't follow any of the other tutorials.

My site is off and running. Getting around 200+ hits per day and I just launched it this week. As bitcoin grows I expect it to continue to grow.

No offer is too small and the users that come to my site are interacting with the site. This is a great opportunity to get some business to your bitcoin or technology related site.
