64  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to buy Bitcoin with fiat without using a third party intermediary on: August 09, 2019, 05:35:08 PM

Most exchange methods to acquire Bitcoin with fiat require either trust in the escrow (or arbitrator) or the counter-party.
This is false exchanges do not really use escrow.  Escrow are often used when it involves two individuals trying to trade bitcoin then the services of an escrow is employed to ensure security of fiat and bitcoin.

When will Bitcoin be more available than it is now?
The real problem is not when bitcoin would be available in my own opinion there is quite adequate number of bitcoin flowing around and there hasn't been much cases of bitcoin scarcity(except you know of any pls correct me)

67  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Employment is over rated (build your own empire) on: August 09, 2019, 01:50:10 PM

There is still avenues to be self employed and still have a running employed job I do know of people that work normal jobs but still have an investment, busines company they own. Just that this time it's managed by someone.
But the problem is when contentment with present living sets in without actually planning ahead (after retirement)

The OP is a merit source and not just that a legendary member so there would not be much selfish interest from his path seeking for merit to gain smerit to be spent on deserving post.
That's commitment to duty he could easily just ignore the posts.
Encouraging posters to keep on making reasonable post is great.
Giving Merit to post is not to be completely left to merit source they can only do their bit in this large forum.
70  Other / Politics & Society / Employment is over rated (build your own empire). on: August 05, 2019, 07:18:43 PM
The forbes richest men on the planet list composed of self made entrepreneur or business men. For too long people around the world more in developing countries depends on regular employment for survival.
Don't get me wrong or misinterpreted there is nothing wrong work round the clock for another person or government helping them build their dream's while you have not set yours rolling but its more annoying to see individuals when jobs are not available continuing there search without trying to look for alternative to means of surviving.

Why should you prefer building your dreams to employment.
1. Like I just earlier said countries can have poor rate of employment no country is bigger than this Even the powerful countries and some times staffs can be cut out throwing them into the unemployment line and the whole cycle of job hunt begins
2. Made to retire at a certain age: as life goes on so does responsibilities and when the source of income is Short lived no matter how much you where initially earning can still affect your survival.
3. Controlled and in some cases over used: developed countries has set up measures to protect employees from silly employer's but in developing counties employers take advantage of their workers, like sexual harassment, over labour, low pays
There are other disadvantages of solely depending on employment.

Self employment has been undervalued and over looked every one wants salary seeing building an idea from the scratch as strenuous
Skill acquisition and self employment aids in alleviating poverty. The real deal is fewer people lack the interest to think, learn and build.

72  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful of BTT account impersonation On and off the forum on: August 04, 2019, 01:08:32 PM
All the hacker did was to send "confirmatory" PMs to people they were scamming via Telegram or other channels.
Exactly my point various scammers can happen on other platforms but still having some links from here. Newbies especially the desperate once are really short sighted on social media. If it's possible for members that engage more frequently in actions that is connected with the public for example bounty managers, escrow agent, ico developers or business dealers of the right kind can do well by stating their accounts on other social media that they feel they can be reached(i know some have it attached to there signature).
cases of hacked account which or for any general suspicion. the measure as in @o_e_l_e_o reply shades more light

Requesting a PM alone is not enough. You also need them to provide a signed message from an address (or a PGP key) they have either staked (Stake your Bitcoin address here) or used in the past. Do not accept a signed message from a recently posted address or an address in their personal text or signature, as these can easily be posted or changed by the hacker. Also be sure that the post with the historical address hasn't been edited recently by the hacker to instead include an address under their control.
73  Other / Beginners & Help / Be careful of BTT account impersonation On and off the forum on: August 04, 2019, 11:29:59 AM
This topic has obvious been touched on but emphasis on it is still important and not only does the impersonation happen in the forum it happens out side this plat form

Bitcoin talk registration is an open one( kyc is not needed and no stringent requirements) this result to sign ups coming in regularly by people of vast interest.
By now whether anyone tries to refuse it or not we have some very established users on this forum whose reputation are admirable and business oriented deals very often shows interest in such account (for good reasons I would not mention such account and any names I use for demonstration was bore out of wide guess and might not exist)
I have come across accounts(both group and personal account) on telegram with very much identical name with one from the forum and not just that it's a coincidence they do portray themselves to be the authentic person from bitcointalk. Very easily newbies can go into deals with this sort of criminal and have a sore experience.

Just as on other social media where business men/women, product or services, company's, celebrities etc are impersonated so it is with bitcoin talk account. But some social media has managed to be in control of the situation by putting mark on account don't know if such measures has been thought about on the forum like users with high trust getting a symbol or mark attached to their account or their alts( well topic for another day let's not drift away from the topic)
As a newbie you should be careful how you trade, do deals or even recommend something to other(might be unknowingly promoting scam)  and also once you notice impersonation do good by exposing it and reporting as well
74  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Where's the Moon? IEO tokens. Infographics on: August 02, 2019, 05:45:51 PM
Where is the moon you ask!!  Bitcoin is leading us there. You don't just follow the band wagon of IEO and so on and be searching for the moon. If also an infograph of ico is drawn the failure would still be glaring. If you hadn't start investing in bitcoin you might have just been aiming for a moon that is elusive.

77  Other / Meta / Re: Enough with the negativity give the forum some credit it deserves on: July 30, 2019, 06:52:32 AM
I could be wrong but the "negativity" may have paved the way to the new ranking system (which turned out to be a good thing to many legit forum users).
Negativity can never help any forum. Negativity never fosters unity. Note: a user not liking or not in support of a forum rule or additions or has a problem with a fellow user can raise there point in a coordinated manner that will not create a rumble after effect.
78  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: July 30, 2019, 06:34:10 AM
I am a newbie here. Hope I can rise up in rank in no time. Any suggestion from old members here? Thanks
Welcome, rising in this forum is dependent on you and your attitude, character and zeal. There is no rising without reasoning and knowledge. Avoid repeating  questions post for example let this be the first and last time you make this type of post(it will only fill up your post count and post history matters in your rising).
Don't just make a post for merit alone there are possibilities that you might flop at it. Make a post to your understanding or wanting to know more. Merit is never scarce it's only that merit deserving post from newbies are fast running out of gas.
79  Economy / Services / Re: Do you live in Panama? on: July 28, 2019, 09:27:53 AM
Hi,

I am living in Panama 🇵🇦. Which type of service you need?

Thnx
You should read the post with maximum attention. You where asked to send the OP a pm private message for further information. You don't need to ask the type of services. I think confidentiality is required if not the business idea would have been on the post
80  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders who never bother to learn how to trade on: July 28, 2019, 08:16:21 AM

My cat is a perfect example of that. Cats are purpose built to be the ultimate killing machines, but my cat has no idea how to hunt.
She tried to chase after a spider this morning, but spent more time dancing around it than actually swiping at it. Plus, she constantly lost track of the thing and would start to wander off.
I will not critics your cat, you never learn how to get it right if you never tried the road might be bumpy but if you keep on learning the theoretical aspect with out giving any practice you will never learn. You have to put yourself in a real life trading. The greatest traders around has stories of failed trade but practicing and practising will improve you. But I do recommend as a new trader you should use minimum fund to go for the main time till you up your game
