yep it says i found block 273, but on the explorer it's bahbahwp07. just my luck....
finally found a block.. its running ^^
did you receive an account? on mine it says I've found 4 blocks but no account
adaseb, where do you find account. are you sending 50 coins to people that already have some?
why should you have to pay for others people mistakes? I thought you had to find a block before you had an account number?
I hope it's just a bug and someone didn't deliberately cheat. It's your coin adaseb, if you feel you need a relaunch. Or only give 1 account per person. that would rattle those farmers.

takes the fun out of a launch watching greedy farm miners take all the blocks. damn I wish the days of bitcoin being $5 were back. oh well wishful thinking.
hope you guys have fun!!!
Please let there be a dev out there to create a coin that pays completely random. 1 cpu miner or a farm with 500 gpu's has an equal chance.

now do you see why so many were pulling for the cpu only mining. I count 3-4 miners will all blocks.
I'm not sure I agree with another. The original is full of dumpers that killed it. However, ONLY cpu mining does sound pretty damn cool. If it's only "cpu" I'll consider it.

I heard about Bitcoin and starting mining it a couple days later. at that time it was $5-$7 = 1 Bitcoin. Mining back then was a blast and a great hobby. Especially if you were a pc gamer. Sorry to all you data center miners out there but Bitcoin was so much better back in the hobby days. I swear if it were still in the hands of the home miners it would be more popular. I remember back in the day deleting wallets with 8, 10 bitcoins because I thought they were worthless.
Just wasn't about greed back then. It's weird that bitcoin hit it's peak around the same time 2 years in a row.....
We need bitcoin in the hands of the common...not the rich.

Do you need a certain amount of coins to stake? I've never staked coins before. I ran the latest version and had the message "staking is not active" I then downloaded this version and I still see the not active message. Do I need to enable staking somewhere? If it is a windows wallet for some reason anytime you first load the wallet (new/update) you have to close the wallet then restart and staking will activate after a few minutes. That was it! Thanks!

Thanks JW and Bosco! Ok I'll see what I can do. yep, I have everything included when I first set up the wallet and miner. Do I need to install the new wallet and let it sync? or would I sync the older wallet first and try to send coins to new?

Hopefully someone can help. I started mining Monero (bitMonero) near the beginning. There were so many scammy companies that I got mixed up in I just stopped and gave up. Well recently I heard Bitcoin was up again so I began checking my old hard drives for wallets.
I found my old Bitmonero wallet with 12 coins. I think the wallet was 0.8.8.1 Not much I know. I guess my question is can I salvaged these old coins? What do I need to do if I can? Thanks for any info!!!

yep gone are the days of running a program on your gpu.....hoping to squeeze enough bitcoins out to go buy another piece of computer hardware. mainly another video card so your gaming pc could run games better. now that was fun. no greed back then....

I'm not sure this is real or not...but you should also interview people that mined back when it first started that COULD'VE been at least wealthy.
I know the sad stories are the people that had their bitcoins stolen, but I mined hundreds/thousands of bitcoins and just forgot about them. At the time they were worth maybe $3.....after being worth $20+ (kinda near beginning)
I Admin at a Enthusiast Computer Hardware website and still remember the first thread about Bitcoins. "How to pay for your Expensive Video Cards" I was "at the time" an avid overclcoker and had about 8 Ati 5870's and 5 5850's just laying around. Previously being used to run benchmarks for scores. up to quad-tri-cross Fire lol
I had the craziest setup in my house and still to this day I credit those rigs teaching my son about troubleshooting computers/hardware.
Bitcoins hovered around $3 for the longest time and being an overclocker I would reformat 50 times a month ...I just forgot about them and the pool I mined in. A lot was just mining with no pool. Having a family.... words can't describe how sick I've been since December.
anyways it would be cool to see something about the rise of Bitcoins.
ps...I'm more disappointed that I didn't continue to mine.
