So will there be any changes after a lot of displeasure shown by people?
As I mentioned we'll be reviewing the reward schedule and there will almost certainly be a change there. I think many of the other miscalculations and misinformation that was posted by others in earlier pages has been clarified at this point. Yes a lot of general fud but also some genuine concern. I really wish the total supply be cut in half. The mining rewards be tweaked so they dont impact early risk takers No. Just leave it as it is. Early risk takers or not, this is a coin where you hold for a long time for profit.

since it's a long play, don't expect big crypto players to be eager to invest. I"ll buy at a lower price when people dumps and when thre is traction..
Yeah, definitely a long play. Going to wait till coin hits exchange then purchase.

Can you explain why its so risky? I think its because you can't really predict the dumping that may occur. In theory if investors hold, the price will never drop below IPO right? However, different flavors of the month happen and people take money out of one coin and put it into another coin. (Blackcoin's fall vs Darkcoins rise). https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailyblackcoin.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2014%2F05%2Fdrk-VS-bc.jpg&t=542&c=aR1-MuqQcrIBagMaidsafe's price actually dropped below their IPO price, and there's no mining at all, it's just investors holding at the moment. Who knows what will happen. The early adopters could dump at a 10% cost difference to break even compared to later adopters (so invest early). But I will buy them on the exchange, I have feeling it might be cheaper. It's going to be a lot of coins released very huge amounts 600,000,000+ so thats my thoughts In conclusion, this is not a short term play. Not reasonable to expect profits in a few months. This is a long term play...hold for at least a year or more. Because it will take lots of effort and hard work to get people to use the market place and other services

anyone mortgage house yet for syscoin?
Have you?

"Syscoin's team is not new to the industry, they bring the experience of an award-winning team to drive this incredibly innovative project."
Who? Real names? It's a lot of money to give to anonymous people.
What awards?
They won a fan vote for best developer team for Kittehcoin. Great news for us Kittehs! CryptoAwards.com deemed us as the best development team for March 2014 (with 4.6 times the amount of votes compared to the runner-up), we were also deemed as the third most favorite overall coin and the most favorite animal coin!! http://cryptoawards.com/It's quite prestigious. Hardly any awards in this space.

One question regarding the contracts.
We don't know how the landscape of cryptocurrency will be in 10 years, 20 years, etc.
What you do to ensure that these contracts will be stored an accessible 20-30 years from now...what if Syscoin gets replaced or if the project is gone by then and some major cryptocurrency takes over.
Im trying to ask, what is the contingency plan for users to access these contracts in the event that syscoin is no longer viable?

Please forgive me if I missed the point completely.
Other coins have a decentralized market place within the client itself - This is for peer to peer transfers, like Craigslist...person to person selling
Syscoin is different because it is a market place on the blockchain and it targets companies and businesses.
My question is, how do we get businesses like Amazon, or Best Buy to use your custom block chain software as opposed to using their own engine that they currently use. Also, another question is, how do you get them to accept the risk to be the guinea pigs of this new system?
The eventual goal is to take on Wall Street like Sebastien said? But don't we have to start with the really small mom and pop shops first to get a proof of concept with an actual business going and then we can target Ebay?
Also, when people order some software for ordering system, marketplace, sometimes customization is included in the package. Will you provide that customization for them?
Please share some plans on how we are going to get businesses to use the market place on the block chain. I think this is more towards very very small businesses for now
Also, for merchants that are happy with their market place/coding/customization...think NewEgg or TigerDirect. How do you convince them to switch over to Syscoin versus just accepting Bitcoin on their page.
Most of the bigger stores, the trend is just to accept Bitcoin, just like Dell.com.
Also many of the shopping cart alternatives have 24/7 technical support in case problems arise that may affect sales. do you offer some centralized support that is 24/7 as well.
Also could you make an infographic that exlplaijs the features of market place compared to the market cart software. What the differences is and how the features compare
Thank you

With 1500 BTC, is everyone going to be full time working on the coin because 1 month in crypto is like many months in the real world. We need your full undivided attention to coin.

How much have each of you put in so far?

We don't need some baseball caps with the Syscoin logo...
Actually I could use a new hat.. I don't need a phone case though, would rather have the shirt... I just hope that the money is being spent for other higher priority things, such as innovative features...obviously some money is going to pay for all of these baseball caps and hats which we need to provide them with actual mailing address etc.

How come there's no information about where the premine BTC is going to? They are asking for a lot of BTC, and we investors would like the courtesy to know how our money is being spent. Where is the transparency in this?
We don't need some baseball caps with the Syscoin logo...

how much did maidsafe coin ipo raise
About 6 million

Surely devs dont need 2% of the coins if you are going to get all that BTC for the 30% presale
Since everything has changed, might be more fair if developers donate 15 BTC and purchase the syscoin for themselves. 30% is a lot.

Updated with 600,000,000 presale number.
I broke down the numbers for those wondering about mining and how it will look.
First 15 days of mining
22,118,400 total coins mine
That is 1,474,560 coins a day
Say the price is 0.00002000 that is 29.49btc worth a day.
The next 45 days there will be 33,177,600 coins mine
That is 737,280 a day
Say the price is still 0.00002000 that is 14.74btc worth a day
Over the next 180 days there will be 110,592,000 more coins mine
That is 614,400 a day
At 0.00002000 that is 12.28btc a day worth
After 240 days of mining (8 months) there will be 165,888,000 coins mine.
Add in the 600,000,000 that people will buy soon that is 765,888,000 and add in the devs and bounties that's another 60,000,000 for a total of 825,888,000 coins in 8 months.
If the price is 0.00002000 in 8 months the total market cap will be 16517btc or $10,405,710
If you look at only the 165,888,000 coins mined over the first 8 months then the market cap for that at a price of 0.00002000 is 3309btc or $2,084,670
**I used 0.00002000 as an example. No clue what the price for presale will be or what the price will be when it opens on the market.**
825,888,000 coins in 8 months. Will take 8 million dollars for it to be 0.01

Just some harmless discussion
1) How many BTC are you planning to invest?
2) What would you like the price per coin to be? Have you done your calculations to see what is worth it?

The coin is - without a doubt - innovative. Those who are asking what's so special about it just didn't make effort to read the thread.
IPO - if you don't like the coins at this price wait for them to arrive at the exchange and buy them there. Usually coins on the exchange are much cheaper than the ones in IPO, but IPO is good for those who would like huge volume of coins, who don't mind that for some time market price will be way below IPO price and who believe that the coin is good enough for it's price to spike. We don't want here people screaming "I bought the coin for 5X and now it is worth only 1X - that's how it works.
Good luck for all the team!
Moral is not to invest if you not willing to accept the risk?

found this on another thread.... Altcoins are only good for making quick bucks at the beginning when they're released. That "launch/hype" momentum very rarely comes back and in the case of Vertcoin, I think something big big must happen so it breaks this downtrend. When I say big I do think of things like Bitcoin successfully 51% attacked, together with people massively moving to altcoins. Do I think something big will happen? Mostly no, but there's always a small chance. You see, even stealth addresses didn't help Vertcoin's value, and it's almost that I can't think of any bigger event related to Vertcoin's development. Maybe acceptance among darknet markets, but somehow I do think they will accept Darkcoin instead, even Monero, they're kind of more anonymous oriented than Vert. History is repeating with every altcoin: initial hype and rise and then slow and painful death. Bitcoin is so strong that it seems it already won cryptocurrency war, and it can even be anonymous if you're using it through Tor. Seems like no other coin has so much better properties which would help dethrone Bitcoin. Made some good bucks with DRK and XMR, but in the case of Vertcoin it seems like I came late to the party, lost like 15k $ already and I do think it maybe is even good time to exit, even with loses because generally I do think when one altcoin starts to decline - 99% of the time it's declining to death, and it's not just the case with Vertcoin, it's the case with every altcoin no matter how good it is. Maybe, and just maybe we can count on rise of altcoins in next Bitcoin bubble which really should happen soon. That's the cryptocurrency game in my eyes right now... Bitcoin already won, altcoins are good only if you catch them at the beginning the decline seems scary

Should people interested in the presale already start depositing BTC on Moolah?
No. You don't even know the price per coin yet. Do some calculations to see if benefits outweigh the risk. Whitepaper is not even released yet. No need to jump the gun.
