61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Has anyone tried the compound option with Gulden's witnessing? on: May 15, 2019, 04:18:20 AM
For users that are using Guldens new witnessing has anyone tried compounding the earnings over the period they have locked in there funds for. Wondering if it's worth it or if it's best to take the earnings out and save up towards a 2nd witness account?

They moved from here to https://guldencommunity.slack.com where there is a no ban policy and a good vibe.

Very good news voor Gulden lately and you see that back in the price.

They installed an Gulden advisory board, GAB,  with 9 members chosen from the community to help Gulden with marketing, communication and other things.   These people will help to communicate better between the community and Rijk / developers

Maybe the GAB will undo RP's mistakes and send a strong signal to the world. I have always said nlg only makes sense at higher support levels like 0,20 EUR or 0,50 EUR

I have recently tried out witnessing on the desktop wallets. It's a novel idea I haven't seen with other cryptos, any reason this coin doesn't get more publicity or are the developers beta testing for larger marketcap coins?

There is a large community on slack for Gulden. A Gulden advisory board has been setup to take care of publicity and marketing. The development of Gulden is good but Rijk doesn't have contacts in high places to get Gulden attention.

I will be buying +-500000 coins between 100 and 200 sat and hope for the best, if this coin gets publicity it will moon. The development is top notch!

This coin has a lot of tech, what is the reason it doesn't get much attention here on this forum like other coins?

Bad leadership. Poor marketing. Stupidly banning all critics from his slack, causing supporters to bail out.

The founder Rijk Plaasman is now devolving power to a so-called advisory board. It may be too little too late. Gulden's fall in value has scared many merchants. The mainly Dutch promotion materials may instill Dutch acceptance of this crypto or drive away non-Dutch speakers who want to support this coin. At this point, who knows?

Developers are known to have poor people skills. All cryptos have fallen in value but Gulden looks to be one of the good projects on the go.

Is there no support for this project from wealthy people or is Gulden a grass roots project made up of the middle class?
