Hi Everyone.....
I want to buy an AVALON ASIC.....But as many of you know, its VERY expensive.
I am creating this group buy in which I would represent a group of investors at bitcointalk.org.
TERMS: -I will host it myself for a small fee of 3% plus electricity cost of .16 Kwh. (and obvious pool fees) -I will pay dividends every month to the bitcoin address you send your original investment with. -It is best to make this a 5BTC minimum with increments of 5. (5, 10, 15btc) Easier to track investors.
Let me know who is interested and I would officially begin.

Maybe BFL can make them and include them with the singles. Or have an option for the brick power supply or connector. Probably reduces cost for BFL.

Friends don't let friends over invest in overclocking.
To each his own. I haven't seen any higher stability at stock as I have at 800 MHz. Seems silly to leave $1200 on the table. I do agree the last few % are not worth it and are best saved for single GPU miners who want the bragging rights. What settings do you run your rig with 5970? I have 3 5970's in 1 rig at 825/300 getting 382m/h

as for the gpu thing i mentioned earlier... re-writing bamt onto the usb drive worked...but as i add in a 2nd & or 3rd 5970 a whole new set of problem's occur. urggh.
for everyone running 6 gpu's / 3 5970's... how many watts you pushing them with? with the 800/300/1.05v ?
i cant even seem to get it to like those settings on 0.5...
even with just 2 5970's (4gpus) with 1-1300w psu rosewill lightning, it just seems to lock up... i tried adjusting the boot up time to a more spread 10sec between them...but nothing, just locking up...
doesnt make sense to me right now
I have Bamt with 3 5970. I have them at 825/300/1.05v getting 382 m/hash It is perfectly stable for me. Last time I checked, i was pulling 930 watts from the wall.

Lodcrappo,
I think it would be a great idea to post on bamter all bamt.conf scripts or codes and their functions so people can decide which one to use. I know most of them are on the conf file already. But i think it will help the bamt community and new users instead of going through many pages of both threads.

I don't have do_mgpumon: 0
what does it do? I use the web mgpumon without that on my settings
# start mgpumon in background using /etc/bamt/mgpumon.conf? # (this will put the mgpumon web interface at http://this/mgpumon/ do_mgpumon: 0
This one doesn't run mgpumon, it's set on another rig. Is this code in version .5b? Because, mine does not have it. Just curious, because I have my web interface working fine without the code.
