61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and his steps in nowadays integration. on: January 12, 2024, 07:35:09 PM
Yes many countries banned the uses of Bitcoin at first but seeing the potential nature of the digital currency, some of the governments ask their financial institutions to unban and accept the uses of Bitcoin in their countries.
I am from one of those countries that had initially placed a ban on crypto-currency but I call it a pseudo Ban because this ban never really existed even during the ban period there were many activities carried out using Crypto-currency. Truth be told it would be hard for any government to full carry out a plan to place a ban on Crypto-currency.

Well Bitcoin network may be anonymous but other aspects like the centralised exchanges aren't and still people make use of the centralised system meaning they still find Bitcoin useful even if requires giving out some of their information out.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 12, 2024, 06:56:33 PM
Sevilla is heading for a very bad season they way they a playing. The lack coordination and their defense has been extremely poor, I think that this la liga season has been below average for all team you would have thought they would do better except for Girona.
I think the season would end without Sevilla being in any competitive position and I don't see them making its into any European clubs competition.
63  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why I get less batching unlike before on: January 12, 2024, 05:55:24 PM
Well reading without engaging in what you are reading has worked for you in your own opinion well that's great for you but you ought to know something everyone is different what works for you may not work for another.
There are some who If they don't engage by asking questions they won't understand it so definitely it's wise they join in no matter how low their questions may be it could really be helpful for them.
You can't avoid criticism and if you are doing things right don't run from it rather you learn from it.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Then They (REALLY) Fight You! on: January 12, 2024, 05:06:00 PM
Decentralisation won't just be accepted without criticism from various sectors but this sort of attack you mentioned has been happening for years but still Bitcoin is gaining more popularity and adoption, I don't think there is any sort of attack that can stop Bitcoin right now.

And mind you some countries has also shown interests in Bitcoin while some countries has adopted as a means of payment, the more attack Bitcoin gets the more it grows so I don't pay to much attention to it.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin commercials on: January 11, 2024, 08:36:44 PM
Does BlackRock and Fidelity do commercials? I'm not from the US. It's actually their (potential) commercials that I'm interested with because both of these have strong-ass brands that could far easier convince the masses to get into Bitcoin.
Although not popular but I think BlackRock has done some commercials in the past, I am not sure about fidelity. This two companies are amongst the biggest in the world and has great influence in the world, the hold billions in asset and shares and amongst the biggest reasons why the Bitcoin ETF would cause a spike in the price.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 11, 2024, 07:42:25 PM
Manchester United is a no go area for me in terms of betting, this club has really made me loose money, i would rather play a game against Manchester united because the team is in a bad condition and their defense is very poor.

Right now my favorite team to bet on is funny enough Manchester city this team has a great chance to winning the English premier league.
67  Economy / Economics / Re: People don't understood btc etf exacly on: January 11, 2024, 06:00:51 PM
The price went up US$ 600, that is 13 to 14% and not skyhigh.
ETF is back of empty papers and no etf owner will hold a single BITCOIN.

It's too early to analyse the full meaning of ETF is exchange trust funds and some people may not know this but there are other ETF in different countries but USA being a big if not the biggest power house in Crypto-currency their ETF is highly regarded.
And I don't think you are right many investors has let this big companies hold their shares worth billions I don't think they would have any problems with holding Bitcoin.
It may not be instant but the approval of the ETF would affect the price of Bitcoin.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 10, 2024, 06:54:09 PM
The Madrid derby has always been a very tough match and both teams never fail to give us a spectacular performance, but this season I have a feeling that there would be some different because Atletico Madrid is currently not in the form that would make make for an exciting match so is real Madrid, the galaticos are bearing winning this days, they would have to struggle hard before they can win lower side teams.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woes of gambling on: January 08, 2024, 06:59:11 PM
Take casino games for example especially jackpot casino games there is no way you can tell me that all of them are structured in such a way that they randomly always make money for the house if you ask me gambling is a fraud that has been used to trick people into believing that their choices matter it does not everyone that gambles is just there to make money for the casino unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about human nature 💔💔💔
It's sad you are playing on the wrong table yes some gambling platform are structured to only give wins to the table but there are lots of genuine casinos tables online and offline, personal from my region I prefer to play online and it's transparent and yes I lose some times but some times I also win that's how gambling is.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 08, 2024, 06:38:48 PM
I this agree with the post above me, I don't think arsenal tried to win that game, I watch the match and first half both teams played very poorly, the chances Arsenal had were never a serious threat to Liverpool defense in any way. I think it was generally a boring match and both teams did not give it their all, Liverpool had some luck to end up winners in the end.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 08, 2024, 05:57:12 PM
The fact that a lower division side can score Barcelona not just one goal but multiple goals says alot about the team, Barcelona are very gullible right now and even in their last champions league match a lower side won them.
I don't know if the board of directors at Barcelona are experimenting or don't have any clue on what to do because that would explain why Xavi is still Barcelona's head coach.
72  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Hand work and skill or well paid government employee on: January 08, 2024, 05:12:49 PM
First before you talk about this you have to also put inconsiderate the country the employment is going to be, and in this case I am guessing you are talking about Nigeria.
Firstly right from school you would understand that this government doesn't care about the masses, our system of education is terrible regardless we still find away to go around it only to meet high rate of unemployment and even the available jobs pay poorly. So I would rather take learning a new skill.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we even need bitcoin mixers? on: January 08, 2024, 04:18:02 PM
Well as for me I don't think I would be using a mixer for now, or maybe I have not just gotten the need to use a mixer and this doesn't criminalize those who makes use of mixer.
The main aim of using a Crypto-currency mixer is to achieve anonymity in your Bitcoin transaction yes the level of anonymity is high but it's to high for me and it's unnecessary, I already have the level of anonymity I need on Bitcoin and for now I see no reason using a mixer just yet, maybe cause I am still broke. Lol
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Honduras Special Zone officially recognizes Bitcoin as a unit of account on: January 08, 2024, 03:18:40 PM
Well, all news of this kind is welcome, but considering that this is an area of 60K inhabitants, we should not be overly optimistic.

Nor do I believe that Bitcoin is going to impose itself as a unit of account on the basis of legislation, considering how volatile it still is relative to the major currencies. We only have to see that it is not a unit of account in a practical way even in this forum.
I don't think it's about being optimistic but rather celebrating the small wins, I think any news about Bitcoin adoption level rise should be always welcome .

I don't think we would ever here that some so called populated big power country government would fully admit to accepting Bitcoin so news like this can encourage Bitcoin enthusiast in Bitcoin hostile country to strive on.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Number of Merchants Accepting BTC Payments Surged by 174% in 2023 on: January 08, 2024, 02:20:23 PM
Am not surprised this is happening, alot would still happen as the bull run draws even closer, my country government just listed the ban on crypto-currency this could be an advice to them seeing everyone in the country has an idea or by now should have heard about Bitcoin one way or the other.
I paid a friend who sells me call card with Bitcoin yesterday, this is a great improvement not just that big online merchants accepting Bitcoin but just those small everyday needs service providers in your area accepting Bitcoin then you know the adoption level is increasing.
76  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: 2024 no go gree for anybody. on: January 07, 2024, 09:18:34 PM
Well the phrase going on now in Nigeria about not greeing for anyone is quite a negative one and would cause more harm than good to any one who does not take it as cruise and still go ahead to aching on it.
As the Bitcoin halving they come it open opportunities for us and no man is an island you need cooperation and partnership to make it so that said we need unity in terms of sharing helpful crypto-currency knowledge to one another. Just know this that there is no competition we can all make it together.
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 07, 2024, 07:41:17 PM
Arsenal loss to Liverpool in the league cup today says alot about who Would be at the top of each other between this two teams at the end of the season, Arsenal nemesis has caught up with them, that persistent issue they have always had has still remained and that's inconsistent.
I think they don't have a team with depth and the current players aren't as lethal as they were at the beginning of the season.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 07, 2024, 04:31:08 PM
Robert Lewandowski has not made a major positive impact on Barcelona since he came in, although he came to meet a well washed up Barcelona team. I think if Lewandowski was to leave Barcelona now he won't be heavily missed, they need more players in the middle field now that can help control and swing the game in their favour.
Barcelona has enough strikers that a decent enough to replace Robert Lewandowski if he was to leave.
79  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum: send transactions status Unconfirmed after 12 hours on: January 07, 2024, 02:31:29 PM
This is not a problem, infact everyday the complications in Crypto-currency keeps getting simpler, I don't know the version of electrum you using but I use the updated version and on this version it tells you what you should do if you are having issues like unconfirmed transactions.
I believe if you go to your transaction status you would see a note asking you to bump you transactions fee to speed up the process it's that simple.
80  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Neo-colonialism: Is Nigeria Still Under British Rule? on: January 06, 2024, 07:51:25 PM
Good question on the paper and in the news all former British colonised country are free and are now allowed to run an independent government but the reality is that's a fat lie.
I am from a former British colonised country but still our country is still under the watch of the British rule and we still pay a certain percentage to the British government which is sad and we don't have any benefit like it's hard for citizens from our to travel to the UK.
