61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How Can I Pay Lower Bitcoin Transaction Fee and Not Get Stuck? on: December 30, 2023, 08:27:28 AM
Can somebody explain why mining fees are rocketing?  Everyone is blaming Ordinals and BTC block size. Why can't the developers do something about it? Must Bitcoin core remain close to what Satoshi envisaged? I've asked a number of questions already so let's get some answers.

1. Why is BTC fee high?

2. How do I circumvent high fees?

3. Why aren't developers tweaking the Bitcoin blockchain code to accommodate millions of transaction like Solana and BNB? This would ven make people feel comfortable using BTC as a payment instrument instead of mainly speculative, keeping big players like Blockrock less interested and giving  small players like us time to buy.

4. How Can I Pay Lower Bitcoin Transaction Fee and Not Get Stuck?

Have you done that, where do you live?

Elaborate on the bolded please.

I can sell your webapp if you have a budget for SMM. I've done something similar for a client a few years ago.

64  Economy / Speculation / HODLers, When Will You Sell? on: December 28, 2023, 11:24:35 AM
I really admire people capable of keeping bitcoins in their wallets for years without even moving them. I see wallets that their owners never moved coins from for 10 years and wonder how they do it. If you're a HODLer. when do you hope to sell? Would you cash out if Bitcoin soars to $100,000 or sit back and wait until it gets to a million?

ONLY for HODLers please. PLease share when you'll be happy to sell.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / What Bitcoin Guides Would Help You Most? on: December 28, 2023, 09:38:03 AM
I have an odd job of writing guides that can help people through challenges they may encounter in the crypto space. So this is simple. What are the challenges that you face with Bitcoin in particular and the crypto space in general. What guides would help you? I'll read through all, and thank you.

I am aware that I am still a newbie after over 9 months on this platform.....

However, I am a Professional Project Management Expert with Master's Degree in Project Management from BCU, United Kingdom.

I have recently taken up huge interest on Bitcoin in other order to become a Bitcoin development expert soon...

This is the wrong place to search for an employment, but then...you never know. If you're searching for a job, search for it like a real professional. Organize your resume like a pro, prepare mentally, highlight your skills, go to where employers go to hire people like you, search for it full time and don't get distracted hanging around here until you get a job. However, if your interest is in Bitcoin, spend the time to learn about it. You're mixing two things at the moment. There's a job out there for you, put in the time required to get it, then you can add what you learn about Bitcoin to help yourself down the line. Never say never.

69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When (if Tenable) is The Right Time to Share Your Bitcoin Private Keys? on: December 27, 2023, 11:36:45 AM
This is actually a topic or subject that have been discussed here several times, but then, this is still a very valid question and something interesting to further discuss about.

For me, I sincerely have no plans yet, am still quite young and am filled with the hope and believe that death is still very far off from me, I mean, no man prays to die untimely right? Yeah, and when we pray not to die untimely, it is important we back it up wit faith while keeping a clean hands and avoiding what could lead to an untimely death.

But again, aside from what I said above, I am not married yet, I can't possible share my bitcoin wallet private keys or details to my siblings or parents, I can only share this information with my wife and children when I finally get married and we have our own children.

What did I just read?

But in this world that is ruled by greed and selfishness trusting someone is becoming risky and difficult. The news is filled with fearful news of people scamming or even killing people who trusted them with sensitive materials.

This is a timely warning. People are known to kill for money, but who do we trust?

If you cannot trust a close member of your family, Your wife, your husband, your children, your brothers and sisters, then maybe you can get two lawyers who do not know each other and will be bound by law, split your seed phrase between the lawyers to deliver to your next of kin on the occasion of your death, timely or untimely.

A timelock can also be set, if you die before the time, and it is passed to your family, they will still need to wait for the time on the lock to elapse before they can assess it.

This seems brilliant if the lawyers don't find a way of knowing each other.

i have no plans to bring my coins with me to the grave so i wrote my keys down in my notebook. my wife should see it if ever i suddenly just drop dead. along with the altcoins i hold too.

Seems rather too casual to me. What if she doesn't or someone else does?

72  Other / Meta / Re: BCT vs BTT abbreviation for this forum on: December 26, 2023, 03:12:43 PM
This forum has always been abbreviated as BTT since I joined. BCT is even the username of a member here. Not sure that I've come across BTT as a username. To me, BCT might be more appropriate but BTT has already gained traction around here.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / When (if Tenable) is The Right Time to Share Your Bitcoin Private Keys? on: December 26, 2023, 02:41:42 PM
What's your plan for your bitcoins when you die since you've probably not shared your private keys with anyone or have you? Do you have someone you trust enough, say your spouse, to let them in on your BTC private keys or will you be buried with your coins even if there are family or loved ones to whom your bitcoins may be of benefit?
Do you have plans to share the keys down the line?
What if an accident happens and you're incapacitated or worse?

Is it worthwhile sharing the key with someone due to the unfortunate happenstance of the unexpected or do we just coast along with the hope that death is a long way off?

What's your plan for your digital wealth in case you die, suddenly? It's hard for people with no loved ones. What's your advice for such people and what's your own plan for your bitcoins when you die?

For me, I have no plans at the moment, so I hope to gain insight from your comments on what to do.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have You Accomplished What Brought You to Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2023, 02:23:41 PM
What brought you to Bitcoin? How much of it have you accomplished? For me, it is the desire to earn a living off the internet without the encumbrances of a 9-5 job and having clients from all over the world pay me for my services without the limitations and regulations of fiat (a pity Bitcoin is being fiercely regulated too). I wouldn't say that I have accomplished that since I still support my earnings with "regular" jobs. I like the liberty of being in control of my time and how I work though I still have not gained that liberty completely. Nevertheless, I believe that with the plans I've implemented, being completely free from a 9-5 or "regular" is possible in 2 years.

What brought you to Bitcoin and how much of it have you accomplished?
I think that I've come to Bitcoin for liberty in terms of sending and receiving money, without the bank delays and huge fees. To be honest, I do think that I've accomplished that - wasn't hard haha. I receive my salary in crypto, I work for a crypto company, and I don't encounter banking problems with transfers anymore since I don't use them. Crypto is truly the best!

Do you easily buy with crypto in your country?

Hi, please let me know the details of what you need. If it's fair and legal, I'm in. Send details as DM, as well as how much Bitcoin you wish to pay for the odd job.

Fair and legal in under which jurisdiction?
You'd need to use a scraper, do you have/use scrapers?

I've not done a scraping job before. If you're willing to hire a beginner scraper, I'd be obliged to put in my best.
