That's not very helpful.  I thought I did the instructions.  I'm a first timer.  I don't know what to do.

It’s because you didn’t say which pool you use.

Check this pool and stick with them. Their instruction is easy to follow:

https://www.litecoinpool.org/help

As for that 1% donation fee, it’s not mandatory but it’s a nice gesture to assist with future development of device we paid for. You can easily disable it, if you don’t like.

Why no update claymore miner is the dev dead ?

If it ain’t broken ...!! Grin

Exactly. In my opinion it's because previous updates yielded better results so people like him are hoping for a huge improvement each time and can never get enough. Yet they don't understand that there will always be limitations which are mostly due to the drivers or the equipment itself. Not everything relies on the developer. If it was up to them they would make my GTX 1070's hash at 100MH/s with only 50w from the wall. But it's simply not possible. Yet some people think that with each update it might bring it ever so closer to being a possibility. It's very likely that the program has reached it's most optimal potential already. Yet... they persist that there will always be another which will outshine the previous versions. And so on, so forth.

Based on my experience with updates this isn't always the case. Examples being updates with Windows 10 operating systems. On rare occasions it makes thing so much worse! Or updates to your cellphone operating system. Sometimes drivers or bios for hardware can get botched and mess something up. All because people were crying for an update.

Bottom line, leave good enough alone. There are only so many ways to make a wheel.
Seriously, Claymore is making a fortune based on the work that he already did. What else is he obligated to do? Whether he improves his software or not he's making pretty good money from our 1% devfee's and he doesn't even have to log on to play Tech Support. He can retire... or as Digital_Seytan asked... die (let's hope not) and still have a very nice and somewhat stable income.

Well said and 100% agreed with everything there.

I am not sure why some folks are a little concerned with 1% dev fees. I like how Claymore (and others) remind us .. “if you don’t like it, don’t use it”!

Simple. Write your own mining code and save your 1%. Smiley

But, the fact is many of us are not capable of doing that! So, it’s a fair business!

My problem however is with those wanna-be coders who have copied from certain open-source APIs / codes, closed source theirs and charge 4 times more - and you can’t even keep your rigs up and running for an hour straight!!

Those folks never see a penny (??) from me no matter how much I love certain coins. Instead, I buy them directly!!

Both Claymore and Phoenix deserve to enjoy early retirement! Grin

Newbie here ... so what is it I’m looking at:

FutureBit-ApolloCore:0.17.1/          13

Meaning, there are 13 Apollo owners running node?

I think so - btw, it says 14 now Smiley

1 is mine for sure!!  Grin

I moved my all rigs to Phoenix miner.
Claymore is not efficient than Phoenix.
Less Power cons. more hash.
Thanks.

Junior minor here ... less than 4 months but it took me 2 weeks to compare all different miners (various coins, of course) and figured out Phoenix is best for ETH stuff.

Stable, fast, efficient and darn thing doesn’t know how to crash my rigs!!  Grin

Doing this research 24x7, I also ended up having a black-list for certain coins supported by certain developers charging %2.5+ for their lousy codes!!

As a side note we have already made it to page one...hope we see us at the very least be the #2 or #3 most popular node on the litecoin network in the coming weeks!

Try Phoenix - perhaps!

Unless urgently required to mine some retarded coins supported by this developer, I see zero reason to give myself hard time wondering - say; how many drivers I must rollback and then maybe maybe maybe my rig runs for an hour before forced reboot!!

I had my share of issues when really really really wanted to collect some ravencoin but gave up because of this thing!

So, I decided to buy some RV instead!

Phoenix only mines ETH based algo's!

This thread is for TRM and the algo's it works best on are CN. Im not sure why people are so aggressive posting words like retarded - Im happy to wait. I genuinely like the miner and the devs over the years, I am hoping they respond some time.

I use my main rig for work and odd session of gaming so rolling back drivers isn't something I have to do, its not like a 6 card mining machine that needs to be hammering it 24/7. If I really had to I would check out the other miners that work, this was to top up the stash and take a look into the staking - which you need I think 2k to be able to. I have some on an exchange but the state of affairs is not exactly good to trade away.

Thanks for the input anyway!  Cool

Try discord. Their invitation link is in their main post for folks to catch them there.

Good luck.

I checked their Github repository here: https://github.com/litecoin-project/litecoin.

It looks like there are no development more than a year ago. I don't think that they have abandoned the project perhaps there's no more idea coming from the dev and leave it as it is.
This!!

And, based on my own research, reviewing thousands of articles, interviews, chats .... it sounds like LTC was born mirroring Bitcoin, mouth watering articles by certain paid-bloggers plus a few Bitcoin developers’ names as contributors to LTC project in their Github ... helped raised the price up there ... then the MAN sold as much as he could (owned?!!) - but it didn’t ring the BELL ... high priced ASICs continued selling like candies .... profit was UP for a very short period of time ...then DOWN DOWN DOWN ... finally here we are today!!
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Has Zero Active Development!! on: April 25, 2020, 01:16:32 AM
It’s from Aug 2019 - less than a year ago so perhaps things have changed.

Maybe?

I’ve been following LTC and a few others in regards to their developments / ideas / implementations and etc but LTC not much activities.

Now ... those of us who pay for electricity and every penny counts - technically - I believe running node would probably add an extra penny (or more) to our tiny LTC mining business!

No. My tests on my undervolted Apollo says: before 96 W, after full node 96 W.  Grin

Right, at most it would at 1-2 watts additional when the MCU is on full power loading the node...and thats only for the first 15-30 minutes.

On the main subject, followed your instruction and recommended Samsung USB = up and running in about 15 minutes.

Thank you for all your hard work.

Those of you who wish to get your node up and running from scratch, I just finished mine on an old laptop ASUS Vivobook S15 and it took about less than 4 hours.

Then, followed the instruction here to copy related files / directories to my USB drive with no issue.

I haven’t had a chance to accurately verify how much, but something to keep in mind.

FWIW, unless you truly love and believe in LTC, you will be providing priceless service of adding security, stability and expansion primarily for those whose hash rates are far above hundreds of GH/s - and it will be anonymous and thankless effort!!

What has happened to the miner? I wondered why on new drivers the DEAD error was coming up and looks like the miner has not really been updated this year.  Huh
You must give more info about your system, drivers, cards, what algo you mine.

I mine eth on RX580 8Gb latest drivers and Windows 10. All works fine.

My bad bro.

I have Win 10 Pro (1903), vega 56, Adrenalin 20.4.1, usually mine on Saber (TUBE). After going over the settings few times it looks like the miner, only asking as its not had an update on Git for over 4 months which may be just waiting till the devs are back.
Try Phoenix - perhaps!

Hi,

if can help, until now, with balanced mode i'm are around 0.04 every week.

Compare with others and choose.

Regards

Yup, almost the same here with balanced mode. I also noticed both pools give similar result - except litecoinpool doesn’t cost.

Thanks again - take care.

Hi together

One of my Apollo (batch2) has some issues atm. I let them (2 pc.) run in turbo mode for about 30 days. Now one of them keeps crashing after like a few hours. The other ones continues to run without issues. Only thhing what i could see was that memory (Ram) consumption gets higher and higher. (But i am not sure if this is the reason.) Any hint what i could do, a) to find out the reason and b) to fix it.

Any help very appreciated

Does this only happen in turbo mode? Have you tried re-imaging the SD card?

yes, so far yes. now i went into eco mode on this one, and it runs since then flawless. if you think re-imaging the SD card can help, i can try this.

Not sure if yours is ok but I’m having same problem in turbo mode only.

I have re/flashed the SD card many times and also used a few high quality cards but no luck. It basically dies after about an hour. I have couple of small fans beside it to cool things down too!

Here, I don’t care about turbo because it’s damn loud - just testing!!

Hi,

i'm mining on more than one pool whitout any issue.

Try in this way:

url: scrypt.mine.zergpool.com:3433/#xnsub#skipcbcheck
username: yourcoinaddress
pass: c=LTC,sd=4096,m=party.Apollo <<----- change according to your preference

Disable all the other pool, enable only this one and leave it alone.

Start the miner (in my case more than once ) and it work.

Regards

Followed your instruction and worked 100%. Thank you!

But question is why not any fans there?!! I joined Apollo party and there are like 3 or 4 people only!

Is it better to mine at usual place, litecoinpool?

I’ve been mining for almost 2 months at litecoinpool but my stats compare to giant suckers are so low my eyes burn!
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v15.0 (Windows/Linux) on: April 10, 2020, 05:17:46 PM
Siacoin is definitely ASIC only, I had a friend that had 7 ASICs for Siacoin until they forked and made them worthless. Not sure about the rest. I don't know if anyone dual mines anymore, I always stayed straight ETH.

Thank YOU for your time and info.

I’ve been doing the same - just ETH but became curious after reading some recent articles from certain online publishers suggesting dual-mining is still a thing and referring to Claymore as best and only option!

Stay safe.
