Love this mess, its nature at it best, survival of fittest, no bailout, and the beast the party did not started yet....

www.bitstamp.net look decent, and I have seen 20$ different between gox and btc-e, just don't keep too many bitcoins in them.

I see it this way: bitcoin is stable, what's really unstable is the old system.
This old system is fucked, and unstable bitcoin is very stable 25 every 10 minutes.

Why would anyone want to deposit 20,000 BitCoins to sell on the market all at once knowing it'll crash the value, when they could sell little bit at a time for max value?
Unless they are already a millionaire and do it for the fun.

If someone will drop 20k bitcoin on mtxog now it will drop price to 150$ max. The funny thing som one have to firts have so much bitcoin at mt.gox, just watch mt.gox wallet and you can predict crash if somone will deposit them there.

Hi all I feel like i got into Bitcoin just one month too late. When I first started reading on here 1 BTC=£27. The next time I looked a few days later they were about £42. I knew it was a good investment opportunity but I was/am broke. I've just been watching the price rise and ruing my bad timing. I put a couple of high price items that I'm not using, up for sale at the start of the week, hoping to get btc at £100 once I sold the stuff. I just looked and they are almost 200 usd, £126.3 in our superior currency (haha j/k). So, I'm thinking I've shit the biscuit as they say. Missed the old boat. Or have I? What if these things are £200 next week? At what point did/do you think they were too rich for you to buy? I was willing to pay £100 but might just stick to my meager Aztec mining operation now. Shameless Plug If anyone wants a US Fender P bass or canon L glass pm me Just imagine if you have 1 bitcoin at the moment you are in 10milion club on planet with 7 bilion people..

Thank you for explanation, look like developer will not get donation any time soon, I know 0.01 bitcoin is not a lot but I dont have much more at the moment to send.
You could send a donation of 0.0095 bitcoin with a 0.0005 bitcoin fee. Hehehe good point, sometime you get in 'tunnel vision mode' and dont see simplest solution :-)

higher fees are necessary, sooner or later. bitcoin will not be the best tool for online micro transactions, hence don't use it for it.
This is a pathetic argument because depending on the value of a BTC, these "micro transactions" you talk off might be quite valuable. At which point you won't be able to spend your BTC because the fees are so high. No, it's just the truth -- sorry that you might have been disillusioned. There is limited space (google "tragedy of the commons"), and this space is not arbitrarily inflatable. You should rather think the other way around and only use the current bitcoin network for large transactions. A possible future vision is a situation, where several specific altchains (or other payment providers) provide cheaper services with their own unique branding and use the current larger and established bitcoin network as their common clearing house. It just happened 10 minut ago, I was not able send 0.01 bitcoin to armory dev due 0.0005 fee...
