I don't think it is a good idea to apply. With this program, people who have high-rank accounts on bitcointalk can have accounts with high ranks in altcoinstalks forum instantly. Means they have a lack of effort to do, while many members started from zero activity on altcoinstalks have no such easiness from altcoinstalks forum.
its look not fair for old member that spend much effort to get their current rank. but altcoinstalks do this strategy to make their forum be more active and attract new user that not active due rank reason. I don't have an account on that forum. After I looked in general what the forum is and the activity of its users, I realized that I did not want to have an account there. Maybe someday my opinion will change, but now there is nothing to do there. Even such promotions will not change much.
you could make it first, before this promotion end. someday att account will usefull and you could regret if not make it now. indeed it is not fair but not everything in life is fair, and hopefully we'll make it up for our native users in other ways, maybe more airdrops to native users .... i don't know we'll see |

I think this kind of features (ranks teleport) can be a good and bad at the same time. It will be good for people that came from other forum like Bitcointalk, they can just up their ranks without much effort, but it might be also seems unfair to totally new comers. I still dont quite understand how the ranks affect the user on altcointalk tho, I got a 'baby-step' rank and already able to put image on my signature
I saw a type of compliant from someone about how members coming from here and now have Legendary ranks with no effort. To me it makes sense though, acknowledging users high activity in the crypto space from another forum only seems fair. They have the teleported badge so it's still obvious their activity is from elsehwere until it's removed. 39 teleports so far I see in just over a week, so I guess it's working. Disclaimer: I'm a mod so my opinion in bias  this exactly the idea ! acknowledging users high activity in the crypto space embracing the crypto community rather than requiring people to post on my forum to rank in other words on altt your voice matters, even if you did not rank on altt |

The admin must consider this, it's not good for people to start from zero activity and must to try harder to get a high rank,, but he knows there is a system which allows new people can get high rank instantly, it's hurt for him and I think admin already know the lack of this system. So i hope there is a good system for all members.. i see people , i don't see systems, ranks merits karma and all this, what matter are the people all these systems are as fictitious as the national currencies you use! |

you signed up in 2019 ... i left here in 2017, back then this forum was flooded by people who want to make money like everywhere else ...
the merit system is great and a big applaud to implementing it!
on altt we have other systems, we have karma, we have plagia strikes we have quality strikes, it's not an awful place ...
You may also need to consider the type of merit you get as a basis for granting teleport. I am sure you have known that members have received meritdrops according to the ranking of members when the merit system was implemented and some of them also managed to earn merit because they were good posters to move up to the next rank. If you are also going to teleport members who have received meritdrops to date, you should give more privileges to members who move up the rankings based on the merit they have earned (eg teleporting them 1 to 2 rank higher than on this forum). hello noorman, there is no way to know which merit points are earned and which are not, is there ? |

altcoinsTalks is getting popular. there are many active users somehow, cryptocurrency will be populated with lots of people and I guess different forums as well will be populated by different people who wants to communicate with people of same interest. i will create an account there, it doesn't need to have same email address right?

This feature may be useful for managers/promoters/project and for regular users as well, you will be able to join bounties/etc. Teleported RankThe crypto community is growing fast, and with new waves of users, the experience gets diluted. We end up with groups of people talking nonsense about price speculation, with no real knowledge at all. We want experienced people to have a say on our forum. That's why we are launching the Teleported rank. This rank allow top users to teleport from other forums to ours, while keeping their rank. That means they can have valuable discussions, share their knowledge and improve the quality of discussion, but also they can join bounties and airdrops on our forum as well. the rank is teleported if user is full member or above.
trust can not be teleported, we have a classified section overthere so the approach is different.
and i personally do believe that people are naturally good, so it would be unfair to makes the mistakes a user did follow him everywhere.
It's good to believe people are naturally good. But what if they would like to use this feature to scam one of your members. It's unfair for some members who would like to use this feature for advertising their project, but this could be an advantage for scam purposes. Still, if your decision is final, I can't change it. Good luck with your forum. so far haven't seen any, will keep an eye but usually it is easier to create new user with blank reputation than use a user that can be tracked to bad behavior |

Because I think terrible for teleported member and gain Legend rank instantaneously, which we must to make a hard effort to reach it but he reach it for so easy.
Actually I have no problem with the admin's decision,. because the altt has a higher ranking than the legend. I know your problem mate is not easy to get ranked hero and even legend on Altt, but the solution is only one, namely actively contributing to the forum, I think your rank will go up ranking up is tough on both forums, for btt it is even a bit tougher with merit, but yes, activity and good content is the key in both forums we have some star wars ranks above legendary, so some fun can still be achieved ranking up |

I have looked into the forum and to me it seems it is being run by some set of people, let me call them Cabals. I do agree the quality of post there is very low and diluted and it is very important to improve discussion there. The main issue for some of these new Crypto forums is that they are struggling to attracts new and active users because of the first mover advantage Bitcointalk enjoys
Don't just because of the first mover advantage but because they lack the enthusiasm the forum member of bitcointalk has. While other forum are just created to attract those wanting to make money, bitcointalk is about building future bitcoiners. The rules here are of standard and the features brings about a quality forum. Do bitcointalk and altcointalks forums belong to the same owners?
If not than this seems like a move from altcointalks to get some users of bitcointalk to enter their forum instead, because i don't think it is possible to join a signature bounty twice with your altcointalks and bitcointalk account.
And during bounties is pretty much the only time where the forum rank really matters. If you just want to engage in the conversation on altcointalks, then you could just create a new account and start chatting.
It is obvious that altcointalk wants to attract more high-ranking members of the BTT forum to its forum. And they chose the right strategy, although it doesn't look entirely fair to regular ATT users. Obviously, high ranks of BTT will not waste time and unnecessary swinging accounts, but with such a teleportation - why not? It's good diplomatic move from altcointalk.Atfirst it make the people to know about altcointalk.Most of the people in the forum was not aware about this altcointalk.It was similar to bitcointalk and give some payments to the hunters. the forum is already old a bit , 3 years now, with roughly 60 000 member, but of course we are looking to find more quality members ... but no need to see this in a competitive point of view. |

Thanks for the feature. I already have an account there. I created it also this year but then I have a different username. Can I request to rename my account similar to BTT username since its a mandatory to have a similar name?
It's neat to have the feature at least I can already have a good account and join a campaign as well. I don't see BTC paying campaigns too.
Why not just create another account with your username here? I want to ask if this feature will transfer the negative and positive trust feedback of a user in the AltcoinTalks forum? I'm not a user of the Altcoinstalks forum, so I don't know if there is a trust system in that forum. I just heard about altcointalks, I'll check that out later. My question before I sign up (maybe): will I get a rank that is proportional to my account in this forum immediately even though I have no activity?  This shouldn't be against bitcointalk rules I guess but how about security? I believe that using same information as on Bitcointalk for other websites isn't safe to be honest, details should be different because data can be breached in any ways
Even though you will or have registered with the same username, you should not use the same email and/or password for different sites because each has different security systems. This is good news for bounty hunters who want to be active in forums other than bitcointalk,
but are the altcointalk forums crowded? because I have not been very active in the forum for a long time, only active a few times if there is a sudden need or want to participate in several campaigns.
there are few bounties running only on altt, but most bounties are the same as on btt , mostly with same bounty manager on both forums but some times it's other managers. the altt is active, not as super active as btt, btt is a superstar of course , altt is much slower; but also doesn't feel like twitter where post just keep rolling, let's say altt is the relaxed stress free version of btt |

It seems the altcoinstalks forum is trying to attract more users, however this will most likely destroy the altcoinstalks forum.
Members rank high because they contribute to the forum and are widely recognized, it is not fair to allow beginners to join the altcoinstalks forum with high rankings.
hello we are just experimenting, we will see the effects, but for now i don't see reasons for beginners to be worried also we see the membership a matter of experience rather than how long having been on this forum or that |

You could have done that before tho, just had to talk to the admin. They were mroe than happy to cross-over your rank there
hi previously we did not have the possibility to increase ranks, instead we would change old accounts into the new user - done only once i don't recall having it done more than once. there are agency rank and bounty manager ranks for bounty managers, which grant some ranks, but i don't recall we granted increased ranks other than 1 or 2 cases, and for those cases we had to repurposed old accounts opened by me or a team member. there was a potential hero rank, which was just a tag, without real rank increase. The issue was the rank integrity, but with the teleported rank, things are clear, and thus poses no issue with rank integrity, as those achieving high ranks without teleport get to take positions in the forum management like mods, or even the upcoming senate and other self governing ideas ... |

I'm also there and not very active. Recently I was annoyed by some high-rank members via PM after I was speculating about spammers on that forum. Quite surprised that many spammers are able to do 100 posts/day even some of them are done by their moderators. I said they're probably bots and they didn't accept it, LOL.
there are account farmers everywhere, on altt we have some tools to detect and take some actions we have automated badges that the spammers get, and obviously everything has consequences however, posting too many posts does not mean they can rank up, as our system takes also many factors in consideration, a bit like btt thus we do not necessarily go after people posting too much, as it does not really matter if they post too much or not and we try to avoid conflicts and aggression, hence a friendly forum, or at least, the friendliest it can be ... |
