Faircoin is a coin for the 99%. and the 1%.

Multipool can only be a success if we have enough hashpower.. How many people in this thread want to commit to use multipool. If you do we don't even need to wait for dev to implement one. We can create one virtually right now.

If it's that easy why won't we do it?

One way which I described earlier.
Choose any Multipool of your choice ( I like clever mining )
Create a BTC addresses ( e.g on Coinbase/Mintpal ) and use that BTC for only buying FAC ( make the BTC public so everyonce can see coins coming from multipool are going to buy FAC)
Not the most elegant solution but simplest way And  doable. We can create a Spreadsheet and see who wants to commit ?

i am in (although i have only few kh/s)

coin was 'dead' a couple of times, but the amount of votes on mintpal shows that this coin is very much alive and might have a bright future!
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Faircoin - The First Fairly Distributed coin. MANDATORY UPDATE! on: March 31, 2014, 02:59:33 PM
A short statement regarding NXT-E:

We have no idea what they are doing.
Their statements don't make much sense to us, and we don't know if they have updated their wallet and if they are even synced with the network.
we have donated 0.4 BTC to poloniex after their loss, and we are happy to do this for NXT-E too if they intend to really resolve the issue.
However, as things stand they are not communicating with us and blaming us for everything, and we don't see a point in donating to them if that money is not going towards the users.

We warn you not to deposit or buy FAC in nxt-e
If they don't sync with the main chain, you are losing your money forever, period.

We are sorry you all lost money, and if there is anything more we could, we would do it.
we have been working really really hard and investing a lot of time and effort and lack of sleep into this.
please understand we can't do anything else, we can't force them to do anything and we don't have any of your coins.

a translation to chinese and publish in the right place will be appreciated, thank you

seems reasonable. Thanks for the information.
Maybe update OP? Remove them from the exchange list and add a link to the new wallet.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Faircoin - The First Fairly Distributed coin. MANDATORY UPDATE! on: March 31, 2014, 12:05:19 PM
NXT-E gave back the btc , i paid 0.2 btc for some forked faircoins and i got my btc back instead of the coins.

they finaly did something usefull.

now the question is. at poloniex now there is 1.2 million faircoins on the sell list in order, everything looks okay? what u guys think.

I can't make any sense of how to get my pos and mint with my wallet. I have read all the pages and I have done everything but have no idea really. Can anyone help me here or direct me back to the right post I am sort of lost
1. keep your wallet unlocked.
2. Wait.

thats exactly what I have been doing, but nothing, my wallet has never been locked and always online

You need wait for 21 days after your wallet received your coins.

That's true. Just received mine. My wallet is open for like half a day now and just got it a minute ago.

me too. Syncing is very slow though....

I have connections to the fac network, but the wallet remains out of sync...
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Faircoin - The First Fairly Distributed coin. MANDATORY UPDATE! on: March 31, 2014, 09:27:48 AM
updated the client and everything is working fine.
I had to delete the contents of the %appdata% folder first though...
Make sure to backup your wallet.dat before updating!

edit: we seem to be losing ground on mintpal. Keep voting guys.

y3804, have you seen this:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=529481.0

A similar coin (CommnunityCoin) as FAC, but with quit mint time (24hr). I think it sounds interesting.

Has you involved in that?

I think they are lacking some active member like you to push them on exchanges.

spam.

please vote guys. Let us make sure that we get on mintpal.

72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Faircoin - The First Fairly Distributed coin. MANDATORY UPDATE! on: March 29, 2014, 10:54:50 AM
look, the attacker is the one who got the money, not nxt-e the chinese-who-can't-read-chinese dev
you can blame whoever you want, it doesn't matter at all and it doesn't change anything.

nxt-e has few bad options:
first calculate how many FAC were traded from the forked chain. (not how many transferred!)
1. sync with the main chain, roll back the trades, cover the losses like poloniex. this may not be possible because attacker may have stolen much more BTC than in poloniex
2. sync back the main chain, don't roll back the trades, cover the FAC losses from other users on % base.
3.don't sync back with the main chain -- this is the absolute worst. your users won't be able to withdraw to main chain, and only the attacker could. please don't do this
4.be angry, close trade forever, sync back with main chain and take all the FAC of your users. this is bad, but not as bad as staying with the forked chain

i don't blame you for choosing any option, but don't stay with the forked chain.
users should know small exchanges are risky places. it doesn't have to be their fault, some times they just can't cover losses or have the experience to deal with problems
we had coins in nxt-e, we're in the same boat

please nxt-e, make a decision and do it so we can move forward.

poloniex trade will be restored soon
we still have some projects coming
we need to stay #1 on mintpal until after the weekend (they don't add coins weekends)
blockchain is now secure on latest version, and on monday it becomes much more secure with pos blocks

thanks dev. This coin needs to move forward.

it's not sensitive at all
it's just that most of the bounty pool is still there
we only paid for graphics, block explorer, and some translations/promotions

i'll be happy to see that pool go to zero with all the coins well spent on meaningful value generating contributions

Good to hear, I am currently chasing a multipool for a FAC auto-exchange payout system and will update as soon as i hear back from them

Good job Cheesy Keep us posted!
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Faircoin - The First Fairly Distributed coin. New exchanges added! on: March 27, 2014, 02:09:41 PM
people who are content usually don't say much
whoopdee u'll get your bounty

I thank you much, i wasnt intending to be rude, and didnt expect to be translated as such...

Beyond myself tho, i was asking about the bounty pool. Theres not much known about it and i see now that its a sensitive subject.
I for one would find it very contenting to see some transparency. In this day and age, and especially in crypto, we all ride
numbers and stats. When they are missing, especially after a nonstop push to larger exchanges, one may wonder...

That being said, i wont ask about any bounties again.   .... but someone might....

a published list with bounties (+ adress to donate) could definately help moving this coin in the right direction.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Faircoin - The First Fairly Distributed coin. New exchanges added! on: March 26, 2014, 10:43:40 PM
my wallet doesnt sync. Anyone got a nodes list?
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Faircoin - The First Fairly Distributed coin. New exchanges added! on: March 26, 2014, 06:39:58 PM
i actually don't understand how the BC pool is automated, since afaik mintpal doesn't have a trade API
and they're not on cryptsy

it's possible to create a semi automated pool using the pay-in-bitcoin multipools
but that's only half way

I also dont know how this works from a technological aspect. In theory however a big community like ours could mine + buy a lot of faircoin which would be good for the price & exposure of Faircoin. I am sure some members of our community can help in creating such a pool.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Faircoin - The First Fairly Distributed coin. New exchanges added! on: March 26, 2014, 04:15:38 PM
the mining reward is 0.001 FAC
nobody will mine for profit
stop talking about multipools plz Smiley
come on ..Do you know what the BC multipools doing?lol..

dev is now ready up on BC multipools, and getting more enthusiastic every minute Wink
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Faircoin - The First Fairly Distributed coin. New exchanges added! on: March 26, 2014, 11:12:10 AM

Having Faircoin first on mintpal voting for the next 4-6 days will give us more visibility before we actually hit the market.

Then if som1 can really manage that genius idea of multipool this could be truly an amazing feature.

Creating constant buy orders and demand this is going to be good.

Maybe the dev can offer a bounty on the FAC website?

(btw: wouldn't this also be good for the coin's infastructure? More mining -> more active FAC wallets -> more nodes -> easier syncing?)

Hey guys!

I think that it would be nice to have a multipool for faircoin.
Have a look at blackcoin. The coins are pretty similiar.  Wink

I think this needs more love. If I had any knowledge on running a pool, I would definately set up a pool like this.

Yes, we can use bounties to do this.

this is a great idea. Will definately use a pool like this!

edit: in a small market like ours, this will probably push the price up very quickly...
