let's imagine extreme case (definitely won't happen, I'm just interested) that major mining pool will be out of game

here the case, maintenance fail (sort of total fail, cross cables, typo while oveclocking...) and whole equipment of cex will burn.
same will happen to discussfish, eligius ...

now, there is not enough hash power to make a block (at current diff)

So what will follow? lowered diff or we will wait days for new block? other scenarios?

Every miner on Earth going poof?  Unless we're hit with some cosmic event it won't be happening.  Having said that, if we lose computers and electricity, the last thing I worry about is my coins.  I'm looking for some shotgun shells then.

understand, it won't happen. This was just a hypothetical question. If some cosmic event occur, we all will have more important issues to care about.

Basically there will just be a long time wait for txs

I thought same. I was just curious whether there are other options.

66  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet question on: June 29, 2014, 07:00:25 PM
It will always work for the private keys that are included in the back-up. But remember, if you regularly create new addresses, make transactions, etc, you must back up your wallet regularly. Otherwise, new private keys generated may not be included in your original back-up.

Thanks, yes this is the point, how many transaction can be done before the old wallet.dat must be updated?

Hi, I'm using armory. There is clearly stated how many addresses are "pre calculated" and how many already used.

btw, I always backup once a week, no matter how much tx proceed.
67  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC for watching videos on: June 29, 2014, 10:25:55 AM
How will you check  who exactly watched the video?

In general, it is very fast and easy way to earn money

dunno  Huh, I not admin,  just user. I'd better edit 1st post.
Maybe it's reason why rewards are so variable.
68  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cloud Mining Reviews - Find The Best At CloudMiningReport.com! on: June 29, 2014, 10:19:19 AM
Hi,

interesting reading, I like article about PBmining.

P.S.
could you investigate what's behind Cloudhashers.net - custom mining contracts starting from 0.01 BTC??

Their offer is "too good" to be legit, and really look like ponzi.
I'm in about month, so I have most of my bitcoins back. But I don't want to donate ponzi anymore.

and, [ANN] .0029 BTC per GH/s - 5 year contract **www.BitcoinCloudServices.com**

hey,

coinHD

or please use my reflink: goo.gl/VmNVl6  Wink

is paying for watching videos .. min payout 60 bits  (6 000 satoshi)

payout:
http://postimg.org/image/d35rv6b2d/
Right now I am trying it and I am not sure how your profit is calculated  Huh
For one video watched I have 21 bits...not sure..
Is that worth the time ? I actually watched a hole video, because I found it interesting Smiley
Commercials are fun to watch some times

I'm not sure as well, definitely there is some limit, if you cross it you earn 1 bit per video  Angry
but today I got 40 after 3 vids (15 minutes)

Agree, some of vids are quite interesting, I'm just listening even the long ones Smiley

How is it paying more than most of the other faucets? Seems oposit.

because you can reach limit much faster, and much less captcha need to solve

BIG THANKS to all my refs.   just noticed I have 240 bits.

...

So you should put all your time and efforts to get more ref instead of watching the videos yourself. Cheesy

I realize that, and now throwing links all over the web. don't want to became spammer, but it's hard to resist.
I'm super happy because lots of users used my ref. link.   BIG .... BIG.... BIG THANKS  TO ALL

hey,
coinHD is paying for watching videos .. min payout 60 bits  (6 000 satoshi)

Wow! 3 pennies for watching a video! How much time do I have to spend to earn my 3 pennies? Wink

it's variable, solve about 8 to 15 captcha to reach limit, much better reward per catcha than many faucets
but if you find refs, you will earn more.

BIG THANKS to all my refs.   just noticed I have 240 bits.

71  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC for watching videos on: June 28, 2014, 02:01:09 PM
Nice, thanks for sharing..

No, thanks to you guys ... I already reach another payment, I didn't expect such interest  Cheesy

btw, I dont know how is reward exactly counted  , sometime I get only 1 or 2 bits, probably activity is involved.

p.s.  its good to refresh captcha after long video
72  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC for watching videos on: June 28, 2014, 01:34:19 PM
Interesting
How many videos available? Country limited or site provides videos?

I'm in few days so not sure ... its about 10 vids daily .. but I think limit is changing.
definitely you get 6 000 satoshi and more daily and can run on background.

dunno any limitations, you can put your own tube in.
73  Economy / Service Discussion / BTC for watching videos on: June 28, 2014, 12:29:17 PM
hey,

just found this site, I'm not admin.

coinHD

ref removed

is paying for watching videos .. min payout 60 bits  (6 000 satoshi)

EDIT:
- can publish your own video
- not sure how reward is calculated, price is probably set by publisher, but it takes about 10 captcha to reach limit

how is this going guys? i'm now with pbmining but this seems very attractive. unfortunately i can't find much information around this. anyone else have jumped in and have good results?

so far good. deposited 0.017 BTC and already have 0.013 back in my wallet. by end of month should get ROI.

There is no much information about, I am also bit scared, but so far it works. Guess I won't invest more until they provide some additional info.
75  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: **www.bitcoincloudservices.com** Pay per GHash/s .0034BTC - 5 year contract on: June 21, 2014, 10:27:37 PM
We would like to run a contest here. Please give us more ideas.

Hi

I cannot find your current hash power. Is that secret?

How about to let us guess it. Each user one try daily. Make a hash of that value as prove.
Winner get some free GHs  Wink

76  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Get 0.00000100BTC per Minute as my referral on www.HitLeap.com on: June 12, 2014, 10:40:17 PM
Hello,
I am curious how this traffic can help my site? It is not writen in English so most of the people who are running this software will not understand it. Is it good for Google? Is google understands what traffic is passing thru my site and also is it good or bad?
Thank you!
BR

Its just additional (automated) browser, all traffic come from hitleap.com/traffic... and visitors are just other users.

If you pay, you can even choose where traffic will come from.

here is snip

78  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Let's be honest. I love Bitcoin because... on: June 04, 2014, 09:46:27 PM
Ok, let's be honest.

I can say, quite large portion of my "love" to bitcoin is supported by vision of profit .. in far future.

Other hand, I'm interested in also because it's something quite new, not so widely spread. I like trying new things, experimenting making myself bit different from others.

And last portion, which is increasing over time is convenience.
I did not start with BTC because I want to use it as payment "processor" (again, my main reason was vision of profit). But as time flow, I found it very handy to use. There are more and more shops, companies, users accepting bitcoins and it has great potential hidden in.

79  Other / Off-topic / Was bitcoin divided to satoshi from beginning? on: June 04, 2014, 06:51:52 PM
As quite new to scene, I'm curious how "older members", talked to each other about bitcoin in past. What number did you use?
I doubt it was satoshi or microBTC in yr 2010, because it was worthless, right?
so since when is satoshi used?

thanks for opinions
80  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cloudhashers - custom mining contracts starting from 0.01 BTC on: June 01, 2014, 09:42:11 AM
....
Invested 5.5 BTC. Took 12 hours to start, but it is working now.
...
Jeff

5.5 BTC? That is a big investment to my measures.

I tried that with smaller amount.

First payment came even before my payment was fully confirmed (4 confirmations)
But will see whether payouts will keep coming for whole year.

If this is a not scam, then it best service I've seen so far.
I do like hourly payouts. finally some traffic to my wallet  Cheesy

P.S.
there is typo above weeks of operation slider. it says "Stability it the key!"  trust it should be "Stability is the key!"
