My ant never stops - don't poke the bear.
DO install the kano's firmware, it brought my system load down from 1.9-2.2 down to 1.2-1.3.
Can you link to where to get kano's antminer firmware and the concept of system load? Thanks! |

One of my Ants has been having the "I forgot how to hash" problem so I just installed this script with the suggested modifications.
Got it to appear in my system log, so I think I did it right.
Keeping fingers crossed that this keeps my Ant from sleeping while I am away at work!

Good. Disconnect from your computer. Plug ethernet directly from ant to your router or switch. Reboot the ant. wait 2 minutes. See if the green lights start hashing on the sides of the Ant.
If that doesn't work, you can reset the ant with the reset button, then try connecting via wifi.

Your miner might not be seeing the internet.
If you have a Dlink router like me, edit your WAN to
Protocol: Static Address
IP4: 192.168.0.250
IPv4 netmask : 255.255.255.0
IPv4 Gateway 192.168.0.1
IPv4 Broadcast: blank
Custom DNS servers: 8.8.8.8
Save and apply.
Reboot, with a direct ethernet connection from Ant to router or switch
If this works, you can access your Ant via a computer on your network by directing your browser to 192.168.0.250

Wondering how much data an Antminer running at 180 - 200 GH/s would use in a given month.
Reason I ask is that FreedomPop wireless internet spot gives 500 mb/month of free data, though charges for everything above that.
I would be able to run an Ant at a location that doesn't have Wifi or ethernet.
Anybody have any idea of monthly data usage for an Ant?

I ordered three days ago.
Still "Paid Unshipped Valid"
I emailed Bitmain yesterday but no reply.
Is it likely that he has shipped it but not yet updated the status?
Or what is happening?
It could have shipped already. I usually don't get my tracking til 1 day before it delivered. Last order I don't think I got any tracking. If it shipped UPS, you can sign up and login to MYUPS and it will show if a package is scheduled for delivery to your home. I have a current order with bitmain from tuesday that originally said unpaid and expired. It was corrected the next day, and when I check MYUPS, I can see it's already on it's way to me for monday delivery. On bitmain website it still shows "paid unshipped valid". And I haven't emailed or bothered them even once. Thanks for your advice regarding the shipping of the ants. I checked MyUPS and sure enough, mine will be here Monday too. I was worried when the status wasn't changing to "shipped" on their site. Have a great weekend! |
