61  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ChangeNow.io (Evercode Lab) - Scam. Illegally holding of 100 BCH (11 bitcoins). on: September 06, 2018, 02:14:00 PM
>The logic of being able to seize funds is wrong to begin with.   Taxing the amount by 50% as a fee to return it like some hostage negotiation would be slightly ridiculous.

Totally agree. They should either proceed this issue to some authority (including the information about the frozen coins) or return the coins. But the second opinion seems to be not the best one...Below is the answer why.

> Why not just return the funds to the address they were received from? That should settle it.

Imagine that in some time interpol will come to them and ask for the information related to this transaction. This is not a rare case in crypto. What should the exchange answer? "We caught the user, asked him for KYC, he sent fake documents 2 times, we decided to release the funds"? Really? In this case I'm sure the owners of the exchange will end their crypto career as A. Vinnik from ex btc-e.

All these "scam accusations" against changenow were payed by one user ni23457. He openly stated that he is spending lots of money on spoiling changenow reputation. This is a result of a simple AML/KYC procedure applied to him (due to suspicious activity if his coins). He've sent fake ID 2 times and after that decided to spend his money and time on destroying the service instead of trying to solve the problem.

I personally suggest that this user is involved in some kind of scam (part of wex.nz team or related to bithumb or nicehash hack). I know that crypto services cooperate to find stolen money after massive hacks and maybe this is the case.

In Russia, Everything is possible. In Russian Darknet there are services to Render face for Webcam, Video Shoots etc. Those CEOs might be fake as well but one thing is sure that they are Russians lives in Czech and Ukraine.

One thing is sure: ni23457, please login to your main account  Wink

only changelly is left

Nope =(
65  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: changenow.io - Review? on: September 05, 2018, 04:13:07 PM
My point is that the exchangers are not willing to do that but they have to Sad Just to stay in business
66  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: changenow.io - Review? on: September 05, 2018, 03:52:28 PM
They do. For anonymous coins and “suspicious” transactions.

The fact is that it’s hard to do crypto-punk exchange business now. You are being penetrated from everywhere: partner exchanges ask for lots of legal papers, interpol/europol asks for information about different transactions related to scams etc etc etc.

This is the reality. Crypto is becaming less and less anonymous.
67  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: changenow.io - Review? on: September 05, 2018, 03:44:55 PM
Changelly?? Smiley
You mean  these guys?

They have the most strict kyc policy from all exchangers.
68  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ChangeNow.io (Evercode Lab) - Scam. Illegally holding of 100 BCH (11 bitcoins). on: September 05, 2018, 03:16:41 PM
To be honest,I don't know which side to believe. If you follow the logical thinking, each of the parties may be a fraud. The situation is difficult and how to solve it I do not mind.We need a third party as an arbitrator.Otherwise, no way.

How can I be a fraud in the time when the blockchain shows that I own the funds for 5 years, and the presence of many coins on my wallets says that private keys were not stolen? Let they refute it. If they refute it, then I'll kindly ask theymos or any other most authoritative person to check my wallet and confirm it.

The fact that I do not want to fulfill their demands does not make me a fraud. This fact only says that I do not respect these people and I have the right to do so: ChangeNOW.io Evercode Lab - Scam. Defamation. Abuses. Threats - Russian Business

This topic becomes a field of hostilities. Why would sides not find an independent side in the form of admin or senior moderator and not decide this conflict times and on always. Moreover, the Prosecutor is ready to provide all even secret data to an authoritative arbitrator. These accusations against each other can continue indefinitely. We need to resolve this issue at another level.
If these people wanted to agree on something, they would do it. But they did not reply to my letters within a month and a half. They simply ignore me since July 19.

As far as I know you was offered to pass kyc. You’ve submited fake ID two times and now refuse to cooperate only swearing everywhere. You are the one who are not willing to agree on something
69  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: changenow.io - Review? on: September 05, 2018, 01:31:48 PM
It seems to be pretty new. Like less than a week. I want to sell BTG here, but looks very unreliable. Spelling errors, broken pages. Any one have any good experience with this?

I cant sell it in any other place. No wallet accepts deposit. How do I sell now?

I will not bother visiting their website to check what they are doing. This scam link is enough to convince me that these people are not to be trusted:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4619534.0;topicseen

Just read the whole topic and you'll understand that ni23457 was trying to cheat service by submitting fake ID two times.

Shapeshift Moves to Membership Model Requiring User Information!

I think crypto services are being forced to move to such models.

As far as I understand crypto services are forced to do that

February 9 is not "up to two days ago" =)))
Read it again: their post was edited two days ago.

Quote
Why do you think they are shady?
I've read several scam accusations, that's why.

Sorry, my bad about the date.

I read scam accusations to any project in crypto every day. It's not an indicator in my view.
But at the same time I can't determine what points make the crypto project shady or not now.

Maybe some legal?

I have not looked into any details but just noticed that the OP is spending money to advertise this topic for awareness. S/he is paying money on advertising slot to display the add for this topic. Blow me  Smiley
Impressive! OP paid 0.14BTC ($1000) to advertise his scam accusation.
It's a coincidence that I left red trust on the day theymos' auction closed. I had seen this thread before, and the new thread added to the pile of evidence.

It's amazing! A person caught in fraud (sending someone else's documents), instead of going through KYC and getting his BTC, spends money to spoil the reputation of ChangeNOW. This is blackmail!
Up to two days ago, ChangeNOW claimed to be anonymous and limitless:
The service is anonymous, limitless and does not require any sign-ups.
They've only changed that after I pointed it out in my reference post to go with the red trust I left.

He can do it easily by passing AML/KYC procedure anytime but he is afraid to do that for some reason
There are several reasons to value your privacy, and giving your full identity to a shady service is not a good solution.

February 9 is not "up to two days ago" =)))

"There are several reasons to value your privacy, and giving your full identity to a shady service is not a good solution."

Anyway this is a good point. Why do you think they are shady?

“Good point” from the proved shill of ni23457 Smiley

And my last question is?
How so dumb person had 100BCH.
It doesnt make sense !!
He cant be even terrorist or criminal since terrorist and criminals will not risk with their funds never ever.
So the question is..where he got this kind of ammount of coins.?
Something here does not make sense at all !!
Bs story!

Robbery for example - have stolen this coins from someone else. May be even a physical hack. This answers to the question why was his transaction marked as suspicious.
76  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ChangeNow.io (Evercode Lab) - Scam. Illegally holding of 100 BCH (11 bitcoins). on: September 05, 2018, 11:01:03 AM
Good point about the terrorist. I also suggested that he is related somehow to wex.nz cos the whole story started nearly the same time with wex problems. Also he is definitely from Russia.
77  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ChangeNow.io (Evercode Lab) - Scam. Illegally holding of 100 BCH (11 bitcoins). on: September 05, 2018, 10:44:45 AM
If a person has nothing to fear he is not a fraud or a terrorist or drug dealer and so on, why not provide documents??I think that the exchanger has the right to require documents that would know who to return the money. This is my personal opinion, but I am sure that it is correct.

I have responded to this many times

What happened: Illegal exchanger from Russia(the activities of such services are not legal in Russia) hold my funds and do all to delay the situation. They demand documents, selfie, videoverification. But I am not obliged to disclose information about myself to a group of persons who conduct illegal activities in its country. It's just dangerous.

...

Quick FAQ
Q: Can not you pass video verification because the selfie was doing another person?
A: If this were so, do you really think that I would not have the money to pay that person for the video call?

Q: So what is the problem?
A: The problem is that I do not follow the demands of suspicious persons from Russia who conduct activities there without any supervision by the state, and who run away from their office and change founders. I need that these people to just return my crystal clean 5-year old coins. I do not need their exchange and accordingly I do not want to go with them for any cooperation.

Q: Why 100 BCH?
A: It was only a first small part and I confused them with Changelly

Q: Why so much hate?
A: On July 6, they received a photo of the passport and a selfie. Then they told everyone that they were investigating. On July 19, I told them that I knew who they are and where they are and only on that day they suddenly decided to stop their investigation and began to ask for video verification (just check this topic). Thus I'm absolutely sure they are just pathetic scammers who wanted to steal a large sum of money.
how can you take this "company" seriously?
My 2nd: ChangeNOW.io Evercode Lab - Scam. Defamation. Abuses. Threats - Russian Business

I'm just disgusted with these people. I can not stand them. What kind of cooperation can we talk about? I do not need their exchange. Let these freaks simply return my 5 year old crystal clear coins.

Please answer one more time for everyone here: why did you send fake documents TWO times? Not one as you mentioned previously. It’s document forgery my friend and you know it.

this is why AML/KYC procedures should be implemented in crypto

79  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Nicehash Returns 60% of Coins Stolen in the Hack on: September 04, 2018, 03:27:43 PM
This is the answer to the question if AML/KYC in crypto is really needed =)

"as they are engaged in illegal activities in their country"

This is a lie. Yet another lie from you.

Bitcoin is NOT illegal in Russia. I know this because I've discussed this question with lots of lawyers and as a result I'm paying taxes from my bitcoins in Russia now =)
