The group’s goal is to “legitimize” the digital currency in the eyes of D.C. policy-makers, and to provide a place where they can get “non-biased” information.
If they would do it,it be a wonderful, because this helps Bitcoin to become  mainstream!

I share his opinion. Maybe Bitcoin could become mainstream in the future, but not now, because the government are actively resists to its development

In fact, there is no community around the coin – it's all lies and PR.

Monero team has no one competent in C + +

There's one thing I don't quite understand – does Monero team really spread viruses and infect miners’ computers?

What makes you think so? Never heard of it, sounds weird.

Check this link out, the file is a part of Monero code which users download: https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/e2e6b6938879142c4e35542b5fe8d3eeec7bf9e682f915213fda009097c3878e/analysis/1401909211/

Everybody knows who the main stakeholders are, and if they decide to stir up something funny, nothing will stop them.

I won’t be surprised if I wake up once to find monero dead and gone.

Can you tell me the names of stakeholders if you’re so positive? To me it sounds like total nonsense.

Does it make any sense to try mining monero with the use of a laptop?

My PC needs repair and I’m thinking of switching to laptop for a while.

Depends on the laptops specs - mine is pretty weak comparing to my desktop. You won’t get much and most likely it won’t even be enough to pay your electricity bill.

Guys, I don't understand monerotalk.org is the official XMR site or not?

As far as I understand there is no official website and all updates are laid out in this thread.

Wrong, official site is monero.cc currently. Though it is undergoing a rehaul and you will do better getting your updates from here.

Monerotalk.org is a forum for just Monero talk. Just like darkcointalk etc etc

Do XMR people have a Twitter account to spread the news fast? I thought Twitter has replaced news feed in most places.

When looking at XMR emission curve I thought that the advantage of mining XMR belongs to early miners.

Yes, I wondered about it, too. I would like to hear the opinion of the miners who’s been mining XMR for a long time.

Why was coin's name changed  from MRO to XMR?

To comply with the ISO 4217 standard.

Oh,man! Sorry, guys. I have some problems with my internet connection

Thanks for answer.

Why was coin's name changed  from MRO to XMR?

Seriously? I thought it was just two different types of coins. Now I'm curious how was it happen, and the main question is why was it happen?

Can anybody describe to me perspectives of the Monero?

Monero has no future, because there’s hardly a single competent developer in their devs team and the market can't withstand such amount of coins, and it will only get worse in a few months’ time.

I don't understand why the developers made integration with i2p. IMO, it is expedient, because CN technology ensures the safety of coins at a high level

Guys, I don't understand why Monero has 1135 votes on Hitbtc, but it is available to exchange now. How did this happen?

That was easy. Creators of the Monero bought "the place"on the exchange for its coins

79  Economy / Economics / Re: Why did bitcoin value fall? on: April 07, 2014, 10:53:06 AM
I think that' both aspects caused this - the situation with MtGox and the high speed at which the price rose to 1100 USD! It was al in one time
