Pretty nuts - I was getting a 404 on Zaif site.

Some big arb opportunities - I'll explore how arduous Zaif is tonight after work..

Another ATH in BTC and USD. The former is the most surprising to me. Anyone think we going to hit $10M market cap?

Price in Japan tripled today on high volume (200 btc) and is now double the tuxexchange price.. We are definitely going to hit $10M, and soon.

Where are you getting JPY price quotes?

Is it still worth to buy xmr?or better invest in eth?

Your best bet may be to seek a financial advisor or pay for some trading courses. I'm sure there are some around here and there.

Getting trading advice on this forum is probably not the best place get it from.

Build a portfolio based on your own analysis of potential outcomes and their probability. Sorry for OT.

BTC crashing back down could cause a bloodbath here in alts.

We aren't holding up as well as we were now.

I think we will get great opportunity to convert some BTC profits into XMR over the next few months. Bloodbath in XMR means apocalypse for the other shitcoins, imo.

A 10x in market cap will bring PepeCash to top 10 assets on Coinmarketcap.com

Not unreasonable considering some of the other assets up there over $60M

Busting through ATH's, not much action on this thread! Anyone have some fundamental based predictions on future market cap?
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 12, 2017, 03:03:35 PM
I would be interested to know of anyone who has been able to withdraw any crypto from poloniex in the past 8 hours or so.

Yes - both XMR and XCP. Fairly small amounts however.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshares Blockchain Mainnet is ONLINE! on: May 10, 2017, 03:13:17 PM
I'm looking to claim my ANS from ICO - I have downloaded client and imported my private key. I've confirmed on the website that I sent BTC to my ICO address. Apparently there used to be a page to "claim ANS", this does not seem to exist anymore.

What steps do I have to take?

Polo down again..

Fingers crossed for my absurdly low buy orders  Grin

I think we "catch up" after this current rally cools off. Feels a bit like last time ETH pushed passed $20. Very strange to me how Monero does not seem to be correlated with the other alts.

Doubling down on margin long @ .016

Yes, pls stay on topic #kthnxbye
ouch... that was hurt... is this how monero comunity treated their VIP investor Huh

I was not hurt, onus was on him.

But the monero community will be[hurt], in large numbers, unless the ones currently not in possession of at least some Markka (CK new independent currency), buy it rather soon than too late.
How will the XMR community be "hurt"?

Some part of XMR's marketcap may transit to Markka, so that the former currency loses value, and the latter gains.

Also it is possible that the latter appreciates against the former, even if both go up in the frame of reference.

Where can one educate themselves on Markka.

Where can it be acquired outside of Finland?

Pepecrash
Cheap Pepe

I backed up the Pepetruck - looking for $100m market cap!

AP - what's your view on market cap 2017 and beyond?

Thanks for keeping this thread updated with high quality and unbiased content!

Looking to me like the chance of a handle forming on the weekly is slimming as we start to enter FOMO mode. Reuters just picked up an ATH article: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-global-markets-bitcoin-idUSKBN16221V

An ETF rejection would do it..
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis on: February 21, 2017, 01:16:28 AM
Back to holding coinz it is!   Tongue

I'd agree with you if the sentiment wasn't so overwhelmingly positive everywhere I look. Still a few %'s in fiat looking for a pullback ~$900

77  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: February 14, 2017, 07:49:56 PM
Anyone can now ask me anything, simply for forking over ~0.1BTC.

EDIT: As an introductory offer for the first day only (or until I get one question that confirms to me the ease of the process), AMA for

$5
(~0.005BTC)

The platform says that unanswered questions are not billed. I do not yet know whether there is any quality control for the answers, or not, but for $5 I promise to give you an informed answer if the question is anything that I can help in (or discard it - for no charge - if not).

Try it out! Smiley

What a use case!

Edit: I can't seem to fill my 21.co balance with BTC? Blasphemy!
78  Economy / Speculation / Re: rpietila Wall Observer - the Quality TA Thread ;) on: February 10, 2017, 03:22:31 PM
Ok that takes care of xbt.
For someone who hodls both xbt and xmr, what would you say is the proper proportion?

In fact, it makes sense to buy as much XMR as you can afford to, and ignore BTC altogether.

People who are more wise than me can explain why it makes more sense to have 50% XMR / 50% USD banknotes than for instance 90% BTC / 10% XMR.

For legacy reasons, few are in the position to make such a reallocation, and if tax etc is involved for past gains, it is probably not worth it.

Tax issues aside - I would argue that it makes sense to scale down BTC position incrementally while increasing XMR/Fiat over the next few years as we creep closer to the market epiphany that a public anonymous blockchain is (more) valuable. This also gives the opportunity to continually re-evaluate XMR as the most probable highest market cap crypto over the next decade. It's been working over the past few years.

Of course - if our hypothesis is correct today, net-net the end result is the same - just with less risk.

Can you dumb down your posts a tad for us noobie morons, please. Serious. Probably some good intel you're sharing.

I can tell you this: Every single person from Goldman (and every other bank or prop shop or family desk or money manager) that I have spoken with mono-á-mono in the past 2½ years has bought some XMR for their personal.  Never more than a few thousand.
And I don't think any are selling yet.  If they were, I would mock them viciously: DNMs are step 1.  And we haven’t even made it half way through step 1 yet.  This thing has its best years ahead of it.  We can actually afford software now.

We know you're a perma-bull but are you just making shit up now?  Roll Eyes

Next you're gonna say all these "professionals" / hedge fund managers prefer to invest in monero over bitcoin
Talking to wall street types specifically about Monero and it's advantages over Bitcoin is something Aminorex has talked about doing in his posts regularly over the past couple of years so, I have no reason to doubt him in this area.

I can second this, used to work in the industry - Many TMT and family office focused bankers/traders I know own some Crypto - Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero in descending order of frequency. I'd be interested to know the same from the precious metals side of the house.

They mostly take the long tail risk adjusted value view many here have...crypto will either be huge or nothing in 10 years. Can't afford not to participate even only as a hedge against fiat
