61  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Specific number of confirms for sending coins to Mt Gox? on: June 07, 2011, 05:41:21 AM
Is there a specific number of confirmations needed for sent coins to show up in my mt gox account?

Quote
"Please be patient, it may take a few hours for the Bitcoin network to confirm the transaction."

This statement is a little vague.

I believe the number is 6.  Hopefully, someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
The transaction is up to 12 confirms now.  Huh

I just realized by "east" you mean "far east." Not east coast USA.  Grin

I've grown accustomed to the jet engine level loudness of multiple gpu fans while I'm trying to sleep. I think I sleep better now with gpus near me at full blast, actually.

I don't understand the reason behind tilting the bitcoin symbol. What is the point?

I started leasing Russian botnet time and now I use about 32,000 PCs at 25% load.

Still less hashes per second than one 5970.

Anyone else having trouble getting your pay out? When I click the pay out button the page just goes blank.

Send me a PM with your username, I'll take a look at what's happening.

I just checked it again and it seemed to work. The coins have now showed up in my wallet.

My 1.5 TB hard disc failed horribly and make the floor it was on stink like burning computer parts. On further inspection, the hard disc did in fact catch fire. The resulting medical effects I endured were shitting in my pants due to thinking I had lost most of my coins.

While mining with namecoind and poclbm, every once in a while all my miners just seem to stop connecting. What resolves this is killing namecoind.exe and restarting it again.

version "32150" on windows 7 64bit

I'm getting a lot of 'failed to connect, retrying' messages on my miners. It seems to be occurring more frequently after the server/pool was upgraded. Any help is appreciated.

What does this mean? I have never seen this before. It showed up in my client a couple of hours ago.

As bad as the piece seems to be, at least it exposes more people to bitcoin.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin on NPR on: May 27, 2011, 09:21:42 PM
I've searched the forums and haven't yet found a post referring to Bitcoin being mentioned on NPR on May 24th. http://www.npr.org/2011/05/24/136620231/what-are-bitcoins

How about at least posting a picture of piece of paper with your username on it and the video card so we know you at least own said card.
