On what the profit in masternode depends?
When I started masternode of a coin appeared often, further less frequently. I restart masternode.
In 24 hours appeared 600 coins. I expected much more, how many has to be? CosaNostra spoke about 10800 TX in 24 hours.
I have dynamic IP address. My IP address changes often.

How do you manage the IP address, do you update the conf file manually every change?

How can you set up a masternode if your ISP uses dynamic external IP addresses for it's customers, Mine changes daily?

You can usually assign the same IP address to a specific machine in your router settings.

it is not what gazzatron meant. he has a changing external address. his ISP is renewing the address every 24h.

@gazzatron
can't believe that this is a problem, or did you face already one?
no, nothing of routers behaviour should change something about it. in most cases the router has no configuration option to change lease time.
and if ISP has configured 23:59:59... you will get a new one.

Looks that way, since the conf has the external IP address hard coded, is there a work around?

Darn router is in German (and my ISP), I'll get my Son to investigate when he's back, so it can be done?

If I want to set up a masternode, do I just use the public address of the router with the port #? I have a few devices on the private side of the router.

Good, I'm stocked up and they are sitting in my wallet in 10k blocks. Encrypted and unlocked for staking. Two questions, what is the best block size for staking and do I need a .conf if I'm not a masternode?

According to Guthub: https://github.com/bitbeans that Christian Hermann still controls Bitbean, doesn't show Shawn Kent (aka Bitbeaner) has any control. If you look under public activitys, it shows active post of development just 4 hours ago.

This has nothing to do with Bitbean the coin. Investigate the link you posted.

A nice update for the new wallet would be to make it easier to optimise the wallet for staking Smiley

Looking forward to the wallet update.

How to enable POS In Wallet ?

Hold on a moment, just send me your coins and I will stake them for you or give me remote access
to your PC and I'll setup your wallet...lol.

But seriously, to answer your question:

After loading your wallet:
click "Settings", then "unlock wallet"

If you wish to optimise, try following the rest of the instructions. If you get stuck, post it here.

How to enable POS In Wallet ?

Setting, options, click Display coin control feature. This allows you to reblock your coins.

Settings, unlock wallet (does it for staking only). Check the bottom right of the wallet for the green arrow appearing showing your staking weight.

Wallet must be running to stake and I personally keep my blocks from 6k - 20+k. Coin control is left on automatic whilst staking.

Pre-empting the next question :

Re-blocking your coins

 - set your passphrase to something short otherwise lock the wallet.
 - Copy your wallet address to the clipboard (receive coins, highlight the wallet address and Copy Address).
 - Send coins, tick custom change address and paste your address into the box provided.
 - Click inputs.., expand the blocks and mark the one(s) you wish to reblock. OK, paste your address into the pay to box and specify the
amount. Send, blah, blah and wait 10+ seconds to process then repeat this part.
 - Reset your passphrase back and unlock the wallet.

Reducing the block size, keep halving the amount. If it's 50k then mark it and send 25k, two block of 25k will get produced. Creating
larger blocks, for example, mark 50k worth of smaller blocks and then send 25k. Again, two 25k blocks should appear.

If you seem to have lost coins check they have not been put into another address in the wallet. Send coins, Inputs..., expand blocks
and click address, if two appear, mark the new one and send the coins back to your prime address.

If still not adding up, Help, Debug window, checkwallet, if it does not pass, repairwallet.

Coins need to be in your wallet for 6 hours before they will mature for staking.

I've been wanting to build a wallet from source so I started with a Windows Bitcoin-qt one following https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=149479.0.
This was successful and seems work, I have sync'ed it but yet to send it any coins. I then turned my attentions to do the Bitbean windows wallet, this
does not to be as clear cut. I used QTSDK 5.5 and used the dependencies I built for Bitcoin wallet copying them into the include folder of QTSDK and
built the libleveldb.a and libmemenv.a independently due to a failure at that point in the Bitbean-qt.pro (edited out that part). Now it fails further down,
looking at it, the definitions for the dependencies are commented on with no indication of what it is meant to be.

Maybe I need to go back to basics, install QT 4.7.4 and build the defined releases for the dependencies but that still will leave a Bitbean-qt.pro needing
some modification. I'm a complete novice at this, anyone got an idiots guide similar to bitcoin-qt one above?

I've looked at other alt coin documentations that gave a few pointers but they all seem a bit vague for the beginner.

No problem, I know Im not the only one wanting answer. Im not responsing to that guy comments anymore. Like I said, If the DEV was doing his part, nothing would be said! Dont know why the other guy even responsed and defending. The ass doesnt need to tell anyone to go away or shut up. I check back soon.

I think people can make their own mind up about personalities posting here by what they say and the language they use Smiley

I will restate I have no problem with coin's speed of transfer or the wallet I downloaded, it successfully stakes my coins giving me a daily return of 2-3k per million and none of the top wallets have not changed much. If you have sold your coins then good, I most probably bought them and you need not be here anymore. I hope the developer sorts out his problems and get back on track.

I havent dump my coins yet. And I will announce my issue any time I please too. I glad ur not having issue with ur wallet or staking any orphans. Unless if ur on the dev team or is help other solving a problem, then maybe you shouldnt be comment to ppl post. Dont mislead for ur profit!

Oh my god, you for real?

More to the point is why are you here ? Lets see what could it be;

 - long term FUDder, no positive comments, could be
 - looking to force the price down to get in low, probably
 - Lost funds on the coin, unlikely

With the coin as it is, it has quick confirmations, good staking, stable wallet
and a stable richlist. The developer's absence is a concern but in no way
means the failure of the coin the way you keep carrying on. Half full approach
is my stance.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitBean | Innovative PoS | Scalability | No IPO | No premine -New Dev Team on: July 05, 2015, 10:10:30 AM

Go ahead keep it up! Dev not around. Who going to trust in this coin now. Too many Dev are screwing ppl around. Everyone going to other stake coins that have Dev with real Balls to do there jobs!

Been through your comments on this thread and quite honestly, other than a few posts on how to get your staking working, they have only been negative. If you don't wish to add value I suggest you go to the other threads for the staking coins you like. Some of us want to see the coin succeed, you obviously don't so unless you are a career FUDder I respectfully suggest you keep your rhetoric to yourself.

How long until we see the new wallets?

Only being an investor and supporter of BitB I could not say. The dev has had a few issues from what I understand, lets hope he is getting back on track. I'm still building my bag at these low levels Smiley How does it go 'Bigger, faster and stronger', it better be, lol.

I don't have any issues regarding staking and I have my wallet open 24/7. I don't get all but it's normal on every PoS wallet to have some that we don't stake...

What is your average per day per million? Just to get a gauge, I had one conflict yesterday so I'm pleased with that, seems to be getting better Smiley
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitBean | Innovative PoS | Scalability | No IPO | No premine -New Dev Team on: July 02, 2015, 08:33:27 PM
I had a million coins for a month, only got 13 successful stakes, he then did a difficulty switch and it stopped functioning all together for me, literally had 100x more fails than successfully mined, I dumped it already, there are many POS coins that actually function out there.

Not sure what your problem could be. I'm using the wallet and conf file from the BitB website running on vista x64,  Intel Quad Q6600, 4gb ram and 30mbit internet. I also mine h5 with the GTX 650 Ti graphics card on the same machine, it's on all the time. I get the odd conflicting stake but the staking has given a reliable return of 8-10% per month.

This is the best I can offer without knowing your set-up, still might not be able to help even then, but someone might know Smiley
