Is this coin still recommended to be mine?
Welcome Happy mining Valpe

I have same problem with this pool too. I'm connected per yacminer and can see hash rate on miner but not on pool dashboard. Im running a R9 270. Thought I give UTC a try but guess I'm back to XMR.
What pool?

Too quiet, a strange calm right now on UTC. Seems just as the calm before the storm. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Does someone knows why the block explorer is offline since last week? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I have contacted PressTab regarding the block explorer - he will hopefully have it fixed soon. He's all paid up - so assume he's just busy. Cheers - usukan . Good to know, thanks for the heads-up, usukan. PressTab is online

Hey @usukan any news about the new UTC version? I mean the chain split and new coin development.
Hi kiddo Don't worry - I will release "news" as soon as its available. In the meantime all I can do is urge everyone to be patient. The dev team is still hard at work with testing, security probes and further upgrades to the platform. Its a very big job and it will take as long as they need to be sure its ready for rollout. They are creating a new universe - not just a simple fork. You will appreciate this when you see the tech and scope of application behind the new Ultracoin. Cheers - usukan . Hey, thanks for the answer! I know is a lot of work behind the scenes, I was just curious to know if the split will happen anymore in the future. I'll wait for how long this will take, as good things need time. Nice to see that we have healthy block chain with miners who trust UTC. Its not cheap mining UTC at the moment. Presstab is up again. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Valpe

I'm interested because of the algorithm. script-N on other coins is dead. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.gyazo.com%2F2af87e53b5bd508e56a1caaafc9f9b51.png&t=663&c=zQQCXO19iyLgaw) Utc is using scrypt Jane not scrypt n. Happy mining Thanks for the answer! scrypt Jane is not equal to scrypt n with n = 14? Jane and N are different even same n value.

Are there any live (working) pools or coin being mined only solo?
Only solo. only the GPU or can it work on Titan KNC? Hi You can use GPU or CPU for mining Utc. At this point UTC is so cheap that mining something else and buy Utc, could be better.

BLOCK TIME TARGET: 60 SECONDS Ultrafast 6 Second Transactions! So... What is the block time?
I think this was some old specs or maybe is something like instant send. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y898MEfaKtMIt means that UTC is fast. Unconfirmed transactions in less than 6 seconds... just like BTC, LTC, ETH, ALL OF THEM. No sympathy for wannabe scammers. Still fast Lol touche I would love to see how much time will BTC, LTC, ETH need.

Hello, I have a friend who wants to invest in ultracoin and stake mine but he doesn't wants to sync wallet from start. is there any way i can give him my copy of blockchain without giving him my wallet ? Basically i wanna create a bootstrap kind of thing for him,he lives in the neighborhood so it will easy for us to copy using a flash drive or a dvd go here for instructions on creating the bootstrap: https://cryptochainer.com/dir/?page_id=154Looking at my UltraCoin folder, I only see a file called "blk-v2-0001.dat". I think that's all you would need to copy for your friend. The wallet private keys are not stored in that file so it's no problem in copying this file to your friend. Your wallet private keys are stored in the wallet.dat file. Thank you Wh1teKn1ght Cheers - usukan sadly not working for me it says error loading blockindex.dat Did you try renaming that file to bootstrap.dat or blockindex.dat? Make sure that you delete all folders/files except the wallet.dat as well. i tried renaming to blockindex.dat but still the same problem I gave him my whole folder and my wallet is working on his computer , at first i thought i will sync it from last bootstrap on my computer but then i thought of trying to delete wallet.dat on my pc hurray!! it was working on my pc i am surprised that \AppData\Roaming\UltraCoin folder without wallet.dat was working on my pc but not on his When I needed another wallet for another PC, I moved database and txleveldb and blk-v2-0001.dat file to new computer. The new wallet only re scanned data. Takes several hours, not days.

Bluesman75 your hash rate is 6 kH/s and net hash about 1200 - 3000 kH/h. Sometimes peaks over +5000.
You indeed need a pool.
Maybe you could mine something else and buy UTC with income.

People, I need some help. I had been solo mining this coin after the pool ceased from paying out. All was fine but since a month ago, all blocks I get have this problem: [20:40:28] New best share: 32.6K [20:40:28] Found block for Pool 0! What I am doing wrong? Here is the ultracoin.conf file: rpcuser=user rpcpassword=password rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=4532 server=1 listen=1 daemon=1 addnode=81.196.93.247 addnode=89.216.182.151 addnode=93.80.2.47 addnode=142.160.58.48 addnode=98.117.8.252 addnode=98.212.26.140 addnode=91.156.2.139 addnode=80.216.65.86 addnode=135.23.81.59 addnode=94.154.88.203 addnode=77.103.80.60 addnode=142.160.58.48

Did someone noticed that there was someone buying UTC and the price spiked to 0.000009 and just then someone dumped and the price returned to less than 0.000004? Huh Yes - spotted that. Thought it was a Cryptopia graph error at first? Someone just market bought over a million UTC from 400 up to 950. It coincided with the recent last large BTC slide. Maybe UTC is a "safe haven"? Cheers - usukan Most important of all: Volume: 7.76433610 BTC / 1447350.70692649 UTC ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Nice volume indeed. Someone was hurry to bring UTC back to 400. Usukan You are lucky or you just have bigger advertisement banner with better service. I also tried again and now transfer takes only minutes. So maybe you need to be lucky with Cryptopia. This time needed only: Status: 16 confirmations, broadcast through 6 node(s) Afterwards timestamp in deposit history shows that coins are trough fast (6/6), but coins are not showing at that time on market even if you use F5. Timestamp are not real right time when coins are usable. But I don't have hurry, I am not selling. So I am happy with this. I can see if someone have trouble with this. Valpe

Cryptopia is experiencing serious issues on deposits and withrawals right now, so I would use only the Windows wallet for now. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Indeed cryptopia is very slow or they don't process deposits and withdrawals at all. Maybe they are updating their servers or something. Checking the NEWS @ Cryptopia, they have grown massively in too short i time period. Everything is over capacity and whilst actively trying to fix the issue (new hardware, new people) It looks like its going to be slow for days if not weeks rather than hours, but they appear to be getting to grips with it. The full info is on the News page https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/NewsLooks like they have just announced splitting out LTC into a separate site....worth a read. J Thanks for this info. I have some delayed deposits on cryptopia and I was wondering why.. I have tested (ONLY UTC) Cryptopia deposits AND withdraws - over the last 2 days. I have had no issues at all and certainly no delays - all processed under 2 minutes for withdraws and deposits registered reasonably in sync with blockchain. As always though - its wise to listen to cautions - and ALWAYS do a small test transfer first to test the system and your addresses. Cheers - usukan Deposit seems to take several hour. Not tested withdraw yet. So seems like Cryptopia are delaying deposits. 51 confirmations, broadcast through 6 node(s), not through yet. Valpe
