installed this to mine UBQ - works fine for me so far
not bad hashes at all

Thank you for supporting the Ubiq network.

Currently trying to mine on
http://ubiqminers.org/#

I'm using claymores miner v9
But for whatever reason I keep getting this error and the miner is not running stable at all.
This is on my test rig. I normally set up a bat file on this when everything is stable I roll it out.

Come and have a chat in Slack in the #ubiq-miners channel.

Cory the pool owner hangs out there.

Cheers,
Julian

So far I haven't found anything. Scoured the OP, block explorers, network stats, and github for this info. Problem seems to be getting worse as now I'm getting 2 and 3 blocks at a time more frequently than before, and occasionally 4 blocks before any get imported now. Seems if I do manage to mine any it will just be an orphan.

have you tried the UBQ slack? we have a channel just for miners and i think most people interact wit the community in the slack...I think youll get some quicker feedback and help if you join..

http://slack.ubiqsmart.com/

good luck

Ehh I don't have slack currently but it looks like I might have to get it. It's the only way to get info for certain other coins too apparently. Was hoping it was just publicly available already.

Coincidentally though I just mined 2 blocks and neither of them were orphans so that's good...but I may have just gotten lucky and still have a higher orphan rate than I should over the longer term. As you can see the time between block imports is pretty inconsistent with several minutes in between sometimes and then getting 2 or 3 at once.

If you are solo mining make sure you have enough nodes connected for proper propagation.

is this safe in a decentralized network kind of ways?
the pool ubiqpool.io have hashing power of more than 80% of all network hashes..

how many confirmation should we wait for a transaction to be considered ok?

i see that the blocks are only generated by ubiqpool

i think the miner should consider to distribute their hashing power to other pools available

yohanip thanks for your concern. In this case it tends to be "OK" since we know that ubiqpool.io isn't malicious but definitely better to share out hash rate.

Most altcoins tend to be focused on 1 or 2 pools this but we are definitely actively encouraging miners to distribute their hash rate. As with having no premine or no ICO, we strive to a higher standard.

This situation has improved and it now looks like this:

At the moment we have 14 pools so thank you miners and volunteer pools for helping to keep the network decentralized!

On a quick note, there is no official mining pool and no one from the dev team runs a pool. This is the best situation and this level of community engagement is what we are striving towards.

Good luck with Viacoin, Romano.

Maybe increase the block time. It doesn't need to shit out so many blocks.

Yeah that shit is laughable. Copyright infringement is not a joke but when it comes to crypto nobody can distinguish joke from reality. If u try to prove that ubiq is worthy being around I will debunk that falsehood within 30 secs. This is because Im confident that nobody can sue non-existing shit for violation of property rights.

I'm not sure if you're joking but here is the 30 second distinction.

UbiQuoin - 100% Proof of Stake ICO coin held on Yobit. It's barely worth mentioning.

We are:

Ubiq with Ticker UBQ.  Ubiq is in the Top 100 on Coinmarketcap and traded on Bittrex and soon to be added to Cryptopia.

Local rule for this Ubiq thread - Gembitz is no longer allowed to post in this thread

I have spoken to a Bitcointalk mod SaltySpitoon.

They have stated:
So what you can do is create a local rule for your thread, an ability any OP has. You must make a post in the thread itself, and preferably send the person you don't want posting a message as well telling them about the rule. In other words, for the local rule to have effect, it can't be a stealth thing.

If you make the rule, "Gembitz is no longer allowed to post in this thread" then they are not allowed to post in the thread, otherwise its a bannable offense if they continue.  It is however within your right to deny people the privilege of posting in a thread you have started.

This post states that "Local rule for this Ubiq thread - Gembitz is no longer allowed to post in this thread" is now enabled.

I have also sent Gembitz a DM.

Thanks,
Julian

March Madness - Multisig

@saintgermaine is organizing a March Madness (college basketball) competition. More details on that very soon.

@outragedhuman and myself will hold the pool funds in this multisig smart contract address. Screenshot is from the Fusion wallet

The multisig smart contract is set up so that 1 signature (1 of 2 multisig) can withdraw up to 10 UBQ per day, any amount greater than that requires BOTH signatures (2 of 2 multisig) to execute and transfer.

We've begun the process to have Ubiq added to the Cryptopia exchange with the ticker $UBQ.

We were fortunate to have $JBS listed there previously with several pairings.

Cryptopia listing

Just wanted to add to this.

It's been a while since the Ubiq community successfully voted Ubiq to be added to Novaexchange. Reading back on some comments here and it's possibly true that Novaexchange only knows how to add Bitcoin based coins. I did a quick scan on their pairs and it's probably true.

So being a Proof of Work coin, I really think it's relevant to have further coin distribution for Ubiq on more than one exchange.  More than one exchange also gives us redundancy and a new audience of crypto people.

Cryptopia is a good choice as they cater pretty well to the crypto crowd.  Originally they actually had a policy of not adding coins which were ICO coins but I guess times change.  I've also used their mining pools but I think they've shut them down.

Anyway, they allow a coin to be listed with 1 million DOT through their Paytopia service so I purchased that today.

Screen shot:

Filled in the submission form as well.  See the quoted graphic.

So hopefully with this, the listing will be prioritized and people will be able to trade Ubiq on Cryptopia.

Thank you for your support. Smiley

1. Ubiq claim to be a great platform and they needed money supposedly, have associated the Jumbucks currency that curiously grew the bubble for at least 5 its value in less than a month, rare?

Bitch why do you keep talking?  It isn't uncommon for the price of something to go up if work is put in.

Bitcoin went from $200 in 2015 to $1200 in 2017, rare?

Posted on the blog: https://medium.com/the-ubiq-report/update-march-6-2017-6bfc75f63c00#.bio2rnd17

Update — March 6, 2017

Puzzle competition

Coin Artist helped us build a really hard puzzle which still hasn’t been won. Check it out and join Ubiq Slack to help solve it. The prize is a brand new MSI RX 480 4GB Gaming GPU with parts needed to build the rig.

Suite of applications built into the Fusion wallet

We are working on formulating the Ubiq 2017 Roadmap but something that will distinguish us from Ethereum and other forks is that we will bring together “best of breed” software and package it all nicely together into a Suite of applications and dApps within the Fusion wallet. This will be similar to some other wallets such as NXT.

Some things we will add to the Fusion wallet include:

  • Multisig wallet support
  • Decentralized Exchange
  • Multi-party escrow handling support

Offline wallet — Pyrus

During the coin swap process we forked the offline Ethereum wallet MyEtherWallet to Ubiq. Work on Github has formally begun to add this project to Ubiq so it will also have the capabilities of sending transactions and reading balances from the block explorer. We will be calling this offline wallet Pyrus.

First token — Qwark

The first token Qwark was launched on the Ubiq network recently. I find this a big achievement as other Ethereum based networks have had a head start on ours without any live tokens or ones with any value. We are also in active discussion with some other potential tokens to be added to the Ubiq network.

First dApp

Since many are fairly new to smart contracts, the first decentralized application (dApp) we plan to launch will be smaller in scale. Longer term we have some bigger dApp’s planned and speaking from myself, I’m interested in bringing some asset based trading to Ubiq.

Nucleus Transparency report

This will be out soon as well which will cover the coin swap and Genesis block. We have dubbed this the Nucleus of the Ubiq network.

Thank you for following along!

Someone has already solved the Ubiq puzzle? It will be interesting to see the solution. The prize for the solution is very good, but the puzzle itself is very complicated. Although otherwise could not be, the artist working with Decred will not set an easy task. It is interesting, that further it will turn out from cooperation Decred with Ubiq.

Nope, puzzle is still on. Great prize too! Smiley
