I SAID THIS FROM THE VERY BEGINNING, XC IS NOT JUST A COIN IT'S A COMPANY
Sorry for caps, but I am excited beyond belief.
Congratulations on a job well done.
/breathe out
first company with its own coin?/ First coin with its own company? GREAT!

This is really great news!! And everybody who owns XCurrency coins, owns a part of the new company!!
"During the course of the ICO, holders of XC will be entitled to claim shares in XC Inc. This will not require selling units of currency in exchange for shares; proof of ownership of 10 XC coins will entitle one to own an XC Inc. share"

So let's get this straight:
XC team members are not employees.
They support XC and devote significant resources to it.
But they do not work exclusively for XC.
Expect to find that people have other commitments. This is not detrimental to XC, it's life.
It is not necessary that we clarify or get the community's permission every time someone does something.
dude you pic fights where there are none. Perhaps, but it's on behalf of the team's growing frustration about how our ethic of collaboration and mutual beneficence gets interpreted as somehow betraying XC. This is a perception that we all feel needs to change. It's important to us. one post like pizpies and it would have been settled. sometimes i don't get your logic. one or two sentences of insight was to much? We were discussing what to say. Anyone could've posted that. It just so happened that Nick did. Collaboration is one thing. Team members joining another coins team is completely different and looks bad no matter how you spin it. Spreading your resources thin is always bad. Does not look bad to me....we still don't even know what this will bring to xc... stop whining.. +1 stop whining or tell us what you can do for XC. There is to many here acting like they own the place..

i think one reason for the dropping price is that rev2 isn't really finished and problems are still fixed.
for the next release a closed group of beta testers should be testing the release before it is released to iron out the rough edges.
i think the release should also be in a state where it's possible to release clients for linux/mac/win at the same time.
i appreciate atcsecure's work and his fast fixes but i think most of the problem that arrised in the last week could have been fixed before the software was released by a closed group of beta testers.
I disagree. I don't think the price-decline has anything to do with it. I also think that this forum IS the closed group of beta testers. We are the beta testers and we should provide Dan with feedback. The situation you describe is for after REV3 when we wil go public.

The goat has nothing to do with XC branding it is just a fun thing for this thread..
Edit: If someone from the XC team comes in here and says to stop spamming goats as they feel they might affect the image of XC I think everyone will stop istantly.. as well if I see goats spammed all over the thread I will be the first to ask to stop..
What if a goat complains?? We have very sensitive goats here. They might feel offended.

On my way to an appointment, but before I leave I wanted to ask- I am running a mac wallet which has been staking for a month or so. For the past several days the wallet says it is staking but will not sync, it has been stuck on block 115118. Any suggestions as to what I can do? I have my wallet.dat backed up, if I reinstall the app will my xcurrency still be safe? Thanks guys.
You can try this: Close your wallet. Delete everything but wallet.dat in your user/library/application support/xcurrency folder. Reopen the wallet. It will have to re-sync the entire chain, but it should fix any stuck syncing issues. I tried this a few times, no succes. I had this issue with another wallet and I did the following to fix: 1. rename wallet.dat to wallet1.dat 2. open the wallet (which creates a new wallet.dat) and let it sync 3. close wallet 4. delete the newly created wallet.dat 5. rename wallet1.dat to wallet.dat 6. reopen wallet OK, thanks. I'll try that hmmm, tried that but it still won't sync. Very strange because it worked just fine until a few days ago. I hope someone has some more suggestions. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Have you tried running "repairwallet" in the console? yup, it returns "wallet check passed" : true". I don't know if that's good? It's usually easier to delete the block chain (all the files EXCEPT wallet.dat) and let it resync the whole block chain. Then do a repair wallet at the end if the balance is not correct. That's what I do anyway. Yes I agree, I've done that a few times in the past as well. But, even that doesn't seem to work this time. I backed up my wallet.dat, removed everyting and started XCurrency-Qt again. So this basically makes a fresh wallet. Even that won't sync. I'm gonna try it on a Windowsmachine, here at home. See what that does. Another method I used before is to dumpprivkey for all the address that has a balance, then... with a completely new wallet, importprivkey into that so you start completely fresh and then resync. is it possible to copy a Mac wallet.dat into a fresh windows wallet? Yeah it should work, they both recognise the wallet.dat OK then, I install a fresh wallet on my windows machine, sync it and then replace the wallet.dat. Hope that works. One upside, I get to try XChat as well, witch I haven't yet.
